Porto Playa Condo Hotel and Beach Club

Great location right next to the fifth avenue, but side street so no noise. Specious rooms we requested one room with double bed and one with separate beds and it was as requested. full kitchen although we did not use it much, it was nice. feels private and safe.

The breakfast is not in the hotel. You get vouchers for two restaurants in the area.

Super central, great pool, friendly staff! So much space in the rooms!

We were not aware that we have to go somewhere for breakfast. It was included so we got vouchers and had a couple options. One of the breakfast places was on the beach, an fantastic location. The food was very good. The payment always caused some discussion, additional payments and service fee… it’s not what I expect for and included service.

The property was well managed and clean. The rooms were well equipped with all daily needs throughout. The front office staff/security was courteous and receptive to our needs. The grounds/pool areas were excellent and relaxing. It’s a block away from 5th ave if that’s your thing.

The property is near a busy street so depending were your room is, you might be woken up by people talking or traffic noise/sirens. They do share a Beach club with Tao Condos, which is nice, however there are fishing boats anchored directly in front of the beach club and with the excessive seaweed, we had to go to another beach/beach club to enjoy the ocean.

The 2 bedroom condo is very spacious, well equipped, well decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools and hot-tubs are great, so is the the free access to the fully equipped gym. The breakfast is delicious at the beach club. One block from the beach (and beach club) and one block from 5th avenue but nice and quite nonetheless.

Our room/condo was on the ground floor, just above the gym so be prepared for loud music when collective classes start at 8am. The insulation is not great so we could hear the people in the adjacent unit and unit above us. Our ground floor unit tended to be quite humid (surrounded by vegetation), at least at the time of year we were there, which is generally hot and humid.

We enjoyed both breakfast locations, they both had great food and excellent service. The one location we visited most because it was closer and overlooking the beach. The both had many options only the one that was the furthest had waffles which I loved. My entire family was pleased with both places.

There was nothing that we didn’t like, maybe a little more lighting outside at night. This place was Beautiful and grounds were kept in excellent shape! We felt safe even walking the grounds at night because staff was always at the entrance even when we left at 5am.

Location is good for the seemingly popular town of Playa del Carmen. We were close to all the hustle and bustle of the town and also pretty close to a beach (a short 5 min walk). The room that we had was very spacious for two people with a substantial kitchen area and a big bathroom that had its own sauna. The staff were very helpful and courteous and it was lovely to have a gym right next door that we could use. The pool was also very welcome as it was very hot during our stay, so lovely to have a chance to cool off in the heat of the day,

The room was a little noisy. We could hear some of the bumps and noises of other rooms above and next door to us.

The complex was in a great location and we loved the jungle themed planting that gave privacy and created such a wonder atmosphere in what is a very busy location. It was a refuge from the liveliness of Playa del Carmen. We had a 2 bed penthouse condominium which included a large roof terrace with sunbeds, hot tub, bbq and areas of shade to sit. We used this terrace extensively through out stay.

It would have been better had we had direct access to our roof terrace rather than up a shared staircase. A higher gate between terraces would also have given complete privacy between us and our neighbouring condominium. Sadly the huge influx of sargassum seaweed which has arrived early this year meant the beaches were not pleasant to visit. This is clearly a big issue for all the resort beaches. We were pleased to have the use of our complex pool as the sea was unpleasant at best. We were affected by the sulphur smell of the seaweed on several occasions.

We had a two bedroom apt fully equiped. Very comfy and spacious. Kitchen is great. Beds were confortable. 5th avenue and restaurants were walking distance.

Its not a new apt. and maybe it need to be refurbished. you dont have sea view and the beach nearby is not the best to swim, No breakfast possible at the property. They offer to a hotel nearby but we didn't like it (the bakey in front was much better) Pool is not big, but nice.

Very nice, quiet and central place to stay. Actually it is too big if you travel alone unless you feel that you need to have an 80m² apartment ;) But the condo would be perfect for a couple or a family of up to 4 persons. It had a bedroom with a nice, comfortable kingsize bed and an other room with 2 single beds, two bathrooms and a joined kitchen/livingrrom. The kitchen was well equiped which means that you could also cook at home if you like. What I also liked about it was that there was also a good bluetooth speaker in the livingroom so that you could play music from your own cellphone. That worked really well. Since it is directly in the center you have plenty of restaurants or shops around and the beach is close.

The floor of my livingroom was not totally clean when I entered. But beside that everything seemed very clean. Also the pool was under maintainance when I was there and so I couldn't use it.

The property was amazing- fitted out to a luxurious standard. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the organic toiletries lovely. The view of the trees in the courtyard from the pool was lovely and the jacuzzi was very relaxing. The location was great and the staff really helpful.
