Cielo Maya Beach Tulum

the location is wonderful but you need to know it is not in the busy hotel zone nor is the beach one where you can run and dive in. We stayed down the road at a different place last year but came here for lunch and massages. We had the best massages of our lives and that brought us back to celebrate a special birthday. Luckily, Itzel was still there and we were in total bliss again. We had a special dinner out on their private pier and the entire experience was phenomenal.

Beautiful spot - quite and peaceful. The staff was amazing! Attentive and friendly - went above and beyond to make our vacation awesome. Our room was beautiful and clean, the food was fabulous. The seaweed was annoying, but that is no fault of the resort, and the staff did everything they could to keep it at a minimum.

It's not the best location for swimming, but we knew that going in. And while we were there, the beach shoes were all out. We ended up just using our own tennis shoes, which was fine. The resort is also pretty secluded, so I would recommend renting a car to go to the Hotel Zone or to Tulum Center since cabs can be expensive (and to visit ruins, Cenotes, etc.). But all in all, I have no complaints about the resort itself.

Hi Travelers ! From the minute we checked in the Cielo Maya Beach Tulum villas to when we checked out , we found this hotel to be the best travel experience we had in the Yucatan Peninsula . Our room unit was very nice , right on the beach , on the bottom floor with a beautiful view of the entire bay. All of the hotel staff were friendly , wonderful and very helpful ! They also have free use of kayaks , bicycles . The hotel is right on the beach and you are only any a few feet away from Manatee Dive Shop, the Casa Cenote a small store and other restaurants in the hotels next door . The breakfast is also included for free, any there is a wide variety of items you can order for breakfast . They also have free parking and the main road area access is controlled and secure . The main courtyard to the beach and pool also very well designed and welcoming . This location is also quiet and not crowded - nothing like the hotel zone in Tulum. So , you will probably want a rental car if you will be wanting to run around the local areas ...but , you don't need to , the lobby folks can order you a taxi when needed.

Staff was very helpful

Great breakfasts, lovely rooms and enjoyed the beach, pier and pool very much. We also did some canoeing which was a great bonus!

Would be good to have warning that we need more cash (not card) for the local area, as we would have brought more

The staff was really great, breakfast that is included was amazing, the room and hotel is amazingly clean and comfortable.

I was unaware of the seaweed problem so we were not able to swim at the beach, and the hotel is 30 min from Tulum so our taxis were really expensive.

Right on the beach, little bay protected from waves, sunset every morning, good value compare for the region. Food and drinks are fairly priced and nice.

If there is a group that is noisy, this does resonate badly and makes lots of noise in the room. Luckily this happened once only during our stay

The Cielo Maya is truly a perfect place for some quite romantic time, away from noise and parties. Everything was perfect - the room, beds, service, beach and the food was delicious! We really enjoyed the restaurant and room service (you have to try the coconut shrimp!). The room was beautiful and very spacious, even better than the photos. The hotel is right on the beach, you can watch the magnificent pelicans hunt fish from the balcony. The tub was huge and lovely and had complimentary bath salts. The service was wonderful, such nice people! They helped us with every need and we even got a beautiful drink on check-in. It's really a special and beautiful place that will forever stay in our hearts. Thanks for making our vacation special! We hope to visit again some day!!

Nothing! Well, we did have a hot water problem, but it was resolved very fast and it's a very common thing to expect when visiting this area in Mexico.

The hotel is in an environmentally protected area, so a beautiful location. Very nice rooms, very friendly and helpful staff who were always a pleasure to talk to. Located within a couple of metres of the beach. Fantastic evenings having family meals at a table next to the beach, watching the sun go down.

As the hotel is in a remote area, electricity outages happened for a few hours and some specific food and drink menu items ran out for a few days, but there were no major inconvenience and we just rolled with it!

Gorgeous location, far away from everything, perfect as an escape away from the city and the amount of people at the property and in the neighbouring properties was quite small when we were there, so it feels quite exclusive and special. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the facilities were great, we had a room with the ocean view on the first floor and we absolutely loved it. To top it all off, the jacuzzi bath in the room added an extra relaxation opportunity. The bed was very comfy too!

The location is remote, so make sure you rent a car if you stay there for a long time, wanting to explore Tulum. We had one rented, so for us it all worked out perfectly.
