The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was nice as well. The location was perfect if you are looking for a nice place to relax and unwind. If you are looking for a party and to surround yourself with their culture, you might want to stay somewhere closer to town. It is hard to get transportation that will take you out here and pick you up. I would say the town is about 20 minutes away without traffic, with traffic about 45 minutes-but depends.

There are just some amenities that I wish were available like, I wish they had transportation from the airport to the hotel. Also, I was charged extra on my stay, so please do the conversion from pesos to dollars (or what your currency is) before you come or while checking in. The food was delicious, I just wish they had more options on their menu. There was a roach in our room, but it's Mexico and we are in the middle of the jungle, so it was to be expected.

The hotel is recently remodelled, so everything is new, which is very nice. We stayed at the cabin with sea view which was amazing, we could see the sunrise from our bed. We came with our 11 month old baby and we felt very comfortable with her, it is definitely a child friendly hotel. Had other restaurants and cafes in walking distance from the hotel.

We stayed at the cabin with the sea view which is great besides the fact that between the room and the sea is the restaurant which doesn't bother the view because the restaurant has huge windows and they were open most of the time but from about 10 am till 11 pm there was music playing. We would have preferred to listen to the sound of the sea, but maybe for some one else it's a bonus. For the price of the hotel, the breakfast could have been included in the price. The hotel restaurant does have a baby chair but it is horrible, made out of wood, very high and uncomfortable.

Very nice bungalow beach front, with an ocean view. very calm and relaxing. The coral reef is just in front of the hotel and snorkeling there was super fun…turtles, stingrays…

The location was very good for us, but if you’re looking for walking distance restaurants and bars, the hotel zone would be a better choice

the property is absolutely stunning, especially if you go with a group, right in front of the beach, cleaned of bugs, very private.

that they nickel and dime you for everything… I rented a car and the employees there kept trying to charge me for parking when it was included….also they charge you for stains in the towel even if it is minuscule.

Large private ocean view deck to lounge on. Bathroom showers with outdoor/indoor feel. Service at restaurant and on beach. Location was excellent, quieter side, but bike ride away to everything.

Small Boutique hotel. If you want noise ( we did not) Do not stay here.

Very nice room just two steps away from the beach.

The food at the restaurant was not good at all, especially if you compare it to the other restaurants which are close by. So we decided to spend our time and money elsewhere. Also, the design of the restaurant is not very cosy and the deckchairs they have at the beach club are really uncomfortable. They are loosing money every day because of this and it's amazing that they have not realised it yet. All the decent beach clubs in the area are full, all the good restaurants close by are full and their's is always empty because even their own customers prefer to go somewhere else to spend their time.

Clean and well designed bungalows. Very private and calm, most of the days we had the beautiful pool to ourselves. The staff is really taking care of the property and service is good even though they seemed a bit tense and nervous (probably aware of the risk of getting bad reviews)The proximity to the ruins is a big plus - a ten minute walk, make sure to go there before 10 am, get your own guide (blue shirts), and you will have a wonderful experience. Beach was great with the softest sand, unfortunately tons of sargassum during our stay, but that is the tragic effects of global warming and not the hotel’s fault.

Too expensive. You pay for location and accommodation, nothing more. Breakfast should be included! Restaurant and beach club was not bad and not too expensive, but probably due to lack of customers they didn’t have everything on the menu.

Lovely facilities. The cabins are really comfortable, and they provide beautiful, eco-sensitive bath products & bug spray (which we didn’t need this past Dec/Jan). The staff are above & beyond!

The beachfront restaurant had floor speakers that thump thump thumped (subwoofers) from late morning well into the evening. This beautiful spot in the archaeological zone does not need constant party music to attract beach customers. they could’ve played some Mexican or other Latin American music to make people feel like they were on a lovely beach vacation, not in a disco. The thumping reverberated throughout the front of the resort. We found it unpleasant. Also, on New Year’s Day, after a busy NYE, they basically ran out of a lot of food. understandable, for a mid-level hotel or resort, but extremely disappointing for an extremely expensive resort not to have the things we wanted that were on the menu.

Everything was perfect. You are literally on the beach. The whole property is on sand. There are 16 Bungalows and 5 rooms. we thought we booked a bungalow but it was one of the rooms. I thought that was going to annoy me but the room (downstairs) gave the same vibe. The staff was extremely nice. Since it is a small property is very easy to get to know everyone. You can communicate with the front desk through what’s app from ordering food to getting a cab. The food was amazing. The grilled lobster $100 used but worth it and they literally catch right out the ocean so they don’t have them everyday, was so delicious. and the black shrimp ceviche and fish tenders were my go tos I went with my boyfriend but I would definitely go solo. You’re not on the main strip, it’s further down on the National Park side. Just a 10 min walk from the Mayan Ruins. if you do go to the ruins pack water and wear comfortable shoes. if there is a line look for the people in blue. they’ll let you skip the line and provide a guided tour for $10 use instead of the original $3.50. I would suggest to do the guided tour you get a lot of information and when it’s over you can tour the property on your own. Kai does provide bikes. The streets were too busy and congested for me to ride a bike as I’m not the best rider. So we either walked or caught cabs. The cabs cost us $50-70 usd a day going back and forth to the main strip. Next time we’ll get a car rental. The beach is perfect. Yes there is seaweed but it’s a beach and it’s not anything that should bother you. They ask you to not flush toilet paper down the toilet. This didn’t bother me because Greece is the same way. My boyfriend had a hard time adjusting. Trust that you can take a number 2, wipe and throw it in the trash bin and it will never be stink. I just wrap a tissue over the tissue I use to wipe. It’s a very boho, green, natural property so you just have to respect it. I would recommend this and stay her again.
