Villa Pescadores Tulum

The hotel has everything to be a little paradise. The rooms are very cute, the staff is friendly and the food is pretty good! (only had breakfast) They have this lovely service of bringing coffee in the morning (even though other people seemed to receive food as well). You can rent bikes and by car it is not too far to the pueblo or the zona hotellera if you would want something to eat or drink at night. The beach is clean and the bar is lovely. You get good value for money.

The first day we arrived we were a bit dissapointed since we were looking for a few days of quietly relaxing in the sun. But right next to our cabin they were constructing some more cabins and there was a lot of nuisance (noise and people). Also in the beach club you hear a constant contruction-noise. After a day in Tulum we realized this is the reality of the town. There is not a single place that is not under construction. Actually, after coming back from the zona hotellera we were suddenly very happy with our hotel because it is in a "relatively" quiet zone. If you are looking for peace and quiet, just don't go to Tulum. If you want to go to Tulum anyway, this hotel is a very good option.

It’s a slice of Heaven. Gorgeous place on a white sand beach. Swim in the ocean while you look at the Mayan Ruins on the cliff. Take a boat 10 minutes out in the water and you can snorkel with fish, sting rays, turtles and a breathtaking coral reef. Jamie the Manager was awesome. Housekeeping was fantastic. Hammocks, rooms, birds, trees, the whole place is magical.

The restaurant is very expensive but I understand why. You have to pay to eat in front of the most beautiful ocean view! A discount for hotel guests would be really nice, or a breakfast included. I’m glad I don’t drink, you could spend a fortune drinking there!

We had a great stay at Villa Pescadores. The staff was exceptional - reception, restaurant staff, security, everyone was very friendly and always willing to help with a smile. The reception was very easy to reach via WhatsApp and were responsive in a very timely manner. The huts they have a very cute and really capture the essence of staying in the jungle on the beach.

The location on the beach was great, however, it was definitely too far to walk to the city which is unfortunate. Taxi fares are astronomical and will tack on a lot of extra money that we didn’t expect. I would highly recommend renting a car or motorcycle to get around town to save yourself some money on getting a taxi. We also lost power a couple of times while we were there. The first time, it was only off for maybe around ten minutes. The second time, it was off for two hours. It was at least 90 degrees when it went out at night and it was far too hot to stay inside while it was out. That was quite inconvenient and seemed strange that the surrounding hotels did not lose power.

Villa Pescadores is situated right on the beach, with the row of bungalows facing inward. It's such a quiet, peaceful little tucked away oasis with simple and beautiful amenities. The beach bar has a robust snack and drink menu, decent food at the restaurant, and in-room massages can be added to the stay. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, and accommodating to all needs and is just a quick WhatsApp message away. We were easily able to rent bikes and scooters via the concierge whenever we needed them. On our last day we had to be evacuated due to a hurricane in the forecast and they had already made all evacuation plans well in advance and set us up in a great hotel further inland with such a seamless transition.

It is a bit further from town and we went during a very hot and humid time of year. It's not far to bike/ride a scooter but it was too hot to want to until closer to sunset.

beautiful, minimal but nicely furnished. wonderful staff. I have significant mobility issues but staff appeared to help every time I needed to go up the two steps to the restaurant. They also walked us back to our room at night with a flashlight. Room was very nice. some inconveniences of being in a fairly remote place—e.g., water pressure and temperature was somewhat variable, they request you put toilet paper in trash bins because toilets are composting. Some food was quite good but other dishes were fairly mediocre. Grilled shrimp and big beautiful fruit plate in the morning were highlights. Beach is beautiful and lots of chairs and sun beds. There was a lot of seaweed they were preparing to have trucked off property. this is apparently a cyclical problem with months where there is a lot and months where there isn’t.

Beautifully set on the sand steps away from bar and loungers. Spacious bungalows well styled and polite helpful staff. A great position on the beach

The owners allowed construction work during what is the peak and most expensively priced season. The noise currently isn’t huge but I was told it’s set to get worse so be warned

This place is amazing! The villa is super cute and has a really nice tropical vibe. The rooms are small but good for a group of friends. When we arrived, we were greeted with an alcoholic drink that was delicious. The beach club is super nice and chill, definitely the best in the area, and I enjoyed the live music. This hotel is located in the northern part of the beach strip, which is more of a quiet, laidback, family-friendly area. If you want to go to the party area, you have to take a taxi (which the hotel staff will order for you) to the southern areas of the beach and there is always traffic. Our stay was super relaxing because of the location. The food and drinks at the beach club were amazing! My friends and I drank piña coladas back to back because they were so delicious. The nachos were the best I've ever had. Theres a lot of selection on the menu. You have to order a certain amount of food/drinks to sit on their beach chairs but we always easily exceeded that requirement. The hotel staff were great! We had an excursion on the day that we had to check out, and the staff let us store our luggage in their office for the day. Additionally, my friend arrived on our checkout day earlier than expected, and the staff let her store her luggage and chill at the beach club even though she wasn't a customer! We really appreciated that so much! This place was really great and I would love to stay there again.

The water stopped running on our last day, so we couldn't take a shower or flush the toilet. I'm not sure how long it took to fix, since that was the day that we checked out.

Amazing Location, quite, perfect for a holiday with your partner. Perfect place to experience the Beauty of the tropics. Near to the ruins. Very friendly staff. Extraordinary support at the reception for all your needs, thanks to Alejandra and Alejandro (reception managers), who welcomed us with a big smile and organized perfectly well every little request. The owner is always there and control that all the guests are fine, he is very friendly. The apartments are kind of a dream in paradise. We highly recommend Villa Pescadores, Tulum.

The staff - from the guy who cleaned the leaves each morning to the waiters and management - were lovely and so sweet with our son. The highlight for our toddler was definitely having his own giant shaded sandbox in our casita’s front yard. We ate each day next door at the restaurant, which was quite good. We liked the rustic nature of the place and really appreciated that the management turned on our AC in the middle of the day so our son could nap comfortably. We appreciated the coffee and cookies that were delivered to our porch each morning.

The beach was filled with seaweed, but of course this was no fault of the hotel’s; just a Tulum issue. We didn’t love the beach club music with the heavy bass and would have preferred something a bit more chill.

The staff, location and facilities were wonderful. Additionally the food was fresh and well prepared. This is a calm beach hotel with great facilities providing a wonderful stay. We loved the individual cabanas/rooms.

The only problem is that the beaches and ocean have an extreme seaweed problem make swimming impossible unless you rent a boat. From what I read the seaweed quantity has been caused by global warming and is not the fault of the hotel.
