Hotel Fita

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fita! Everyone on the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about getting around town and making recommendations. Seriously. Incredible team working here. Nice, clean room with comfortable beds. Extremely thankful for the AC because it was very warm and humid during our stay. Breakfast was delicious with many options, including pancakes, eggs, bacon, toast, pastries, coffee, teas, etc. Great location near all the museums on our list, Metro lines, Vondelpark, and there's high end shopping (if that's your thing) a block away. *not a bad thing but worth a mention* there's an elementary school next door so you will hear children laughing and playing outside a few times during the day.

It was good place, amazing location, nice design, clean, you can not hear what happens in other rooms (but you can hear the elevator and when someone close the door). When I arrived I find on my bed waffles and postcard, it’s really sweet.

Before that I came, I sent message and asked to double check my room, I really have issues with cleaning. They replied me “ok” and in the end when I cam I find that they didn’t threw the garbage in the bathroom from previous guest. They cleaned it day after (I asked to do it), but it’s was really not comfortable.  In addition my room (48) was near elevator so I heard everything, and when my neighbor closed his door so my room was shaking.

Staff very helpful, looked after our baggage for us prior to check-in and after check-out which was helpful for us to wander around Amsterdam to visit museums, cafes and restaurants on flight arrival and departure days. Hotel located a short walk from the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum and fine for walking along the canals around the rest of Amsterdam centre. Staff also make some good suggestions for local restaurants. Good buffet breakfast. Helpful that the hotel had a small lift as well as a staircase.

Twin room room was good although a little small, making the two beds very close to each other.

The staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and welcome to the hotel and the city. Nespresso machine in the room , as well as the kettle a bonus. The location for the main art galleries and museums was perfect and as a nervous first time solo holiday maker I felt very safe in the area. The information the hotel provided on request about the Amstedam Airport Express bus was useful and a great start to my trip. Buffet and cooked breakfast was delicious and varied with plentiful fresh fruit and tasty bread and yoghurts.Alexsandra ( sorry if spelling wrong) should feel very proud of what she and her team are achieving. I don't feel there was anything that I didn't like. There are a number of steps at front entrance but this didn't present a problem to this Senior Citizen and there may be another entry point

Wonderfully compassionate and caring staff especially Alexandra, Lara and Mathiu who really looked after us. From the welcome to send off it almost felt like staying in the home of a friend. Location perfect for the kids.. 5mins to Vondelpark and 200 meters from high end luxury stores/ baskery/ cafes. Breakfast croissants were delicious and freshly made everyday including lol

Not much.. Perhaps the radiator could have been on a few hrs during the night and early hours of the morning even though it was summer it was quite cold at times for us from the tropics.

Location right next to the Museum Platz was absolutely wonderful. Breakfasts were uniformly exceptional my entire stay. My single room was smaller than I expected BUT I soon grew to quite like that. AND the balcony expanded that space, although the location essentially above the school yard with often screaming children was a bother occasionally.

See above as to the noise from the kids outside of school. But most hotel locations have some sort of negative in the external surrounding area.

The staff members were super nice and helpful and the room was really comfy and had anything you might need. The location was also incredible, in a very calm and familial neighborhood (as a women traveling by herself, I felt really safe). The best museums (the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum) and the best parks (Vondelpark and Museumplein) are also right next door! The 397 bus (to go to and from the airport) has a stop at a one-minute walk from the hotel. Every other attraction is at around a 30 or 40-minute walk away tops, but if you’d rather take public transport, multiple buses and trams stop right next to the hotel. Will definitely come back!!!

Beds were clean and comfortable, bathroom updated, adequate storage. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Tram stop right around the corner, super easy to get anywhere in the city, plus the bus 397 from the airport also stops 2 minutes walking distance.

Amsterdam was having a heat wave when we arrived so we had a hard time sleeping the first night. The staff brought us some powerful stand fans which made a huge difference.

I had an amazing experience at Hotel Fita ! 1. The location of the hotel is splendid. Only 3 minutes away from the Van Gogh Museum and about 30 minutes away from the center of Amsterdam by foot. 2. The rooms are very confortable with a wide bathroom which is always a plus ! 3. The staff is great and always willing to help. They kept our bags safe before the check-in and even after the check-out until we had our train ! We were able to enjoy the city a little longer thanks to them :)

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel was very well situated for museums and the city generally, and in an agreeable neighbourhood,. We had a superior room, which was spacious and had three good chairs. There were lots of good restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance.

The only public space apart from the breakfast room was the small lobby leading from the front door., with no reception desk and accordingly no personal element of farewell on departure. The front door was reached by a short flight of very steep steps, but this is typical of many properties in the area. There was noise from the adjacent school at times, but we did not find this particularly disturbing.
