Hotel Vossius Vondelpark

The location, staff, general space, and peacefulness were all fantastic. Easy access from airport via train and quick transfer to tram, right next to park and SW central - after looking at many hotels around AMS I'm glad we were more on this outer band than closer to restaurants and clubs because it was really quiet and peaceful.

I realize it is one of the more budget friendly options, and all of the "important" things like bed, towels, bathroom, etc were very clean, but there were a lot of stains on the carpet, lots of dust buildup on vents, and in general all these small things made it seem less nice than it needed to.

The location of this hotel was fantastic. We were lucky enough for the beautiful weather so we had a walk in the huge Vondelpark which is adjacent to the entrance. We were a five minute walk away from the tram stop that takes you to pretty much anywhere in the city. Very close to Moco Museum which was one of the main reasons for our visit. The shower was powerful and very hot which was great after a day of exploring. The staff were amazing, very helpful in helping locate our main points of interest for the trip. I also left my Fitbit watch in the room when we left and the hotel posted it back to the UK for me. Very lovely stay.

The room was a little cold in the evening, maybe due to the size of the room.

This is a fairly no frills but functional hotel with wonderful staff. It was expensive for what it was but in line with others in central Amsterdam. The location odd fantastic - 5 mins from the museums and Leidseplein - a transport hub. The bud from the airport stopped practically outside. The toiletries and hairdryer were a good touch.

The room was small but comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a small garden with tables that you can use if you want to have a quick lunch. We arrived very early in the morning and they allowed us to leave our luggage there before check-in. We also had to check-out outside reception hours, but the staff was super helpful and helped us to arrange everything. Location is also super good, bus 397/N97 stops 200-250 meters away from the hotel. Walking distance from the city center.

To be honest there was nothing that would disappoint me. The room was small but the bed was comfortable and the shower was ok as well.

I loved this hotel! There's a very cheery woman on front desk, who's always got a laugh and a smile. Rest of staff were also great. Rooms are serviced every day without fuss. Short walk to Leidseplein and heaps of restaurants cafes etc.

Only two things: while a kettle, tea and coffee making facilities are provided, there's no fridge in room. A small fridge tucked away in a cupboard would make all the difference. There's no breakfast offered.

The room was not as small as expected and there was enough room to put our luggages. The staff was friendly and check-in and check-out was smooth and easy. Transportation was convenient as it is close to tram stations and the airport bus station. There were lots of food options nearby, and museums were 6 minutes away from the hotel.

The bathroom was a bit small and it got wet easily without a shower screen - had to adjust to a certain angle to avoid splashing.

Excellent location right on the edge of the Amsterdam hustle and bustle, very friendly and accommodating staff that were happy to hold luggage between stays as we had a weekend festival to attend between 2 bookings at this hotel.

Booked late so the price to quantity of facilities felt a little unfavourable but that's partly on me and party to be expected in Amsterdam. Wouldn't hesitate to book again earlier to secure better pricing.

Great location, easy to get from the airport, and right between the museum and the main square with bars and restaurants. Only tram 2 to get to the center of the city. Staff were available for late check-in, or at least it could be organised. Great confort, nice heated rooms.

There was no way to use the shower without getting wet all the bathroom

The hotel was very close to the Museums that we were going to visit. The No. 12 tram from Central Station brought us very close to the hotel, just a short 4 minute walk from the tram stop to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful with restaurants and how to get around the city.

The hotel was well located on a quiet street and was very clean, the wifi was terrific, and the employees were very nice.

The bathroom was built for style instead of practical use. There’s no way to use the shower without getting the whole room wet. It’s also a little unfortunate that the single beds didn’t tie together somehow. I kept rolling into the crack in the middle.
