the location was really good, hotel was clean

the asian man in the reception was very intimidating and rude. Even though I have paid the room online before the stay, He asked my credit card and didn’t let us in when we refused. When I asked him why he said “I don’t know weather or not you will eat breakfast”despite the fact that we stated we won’t because it was expensive. Even if we did, he could have charge us at the checkout. Forcefully and rudely taking someone’s private data should not be acceptable. The microwave was available for everyone to use so we use that to heat up the breakfast we purchased from the supermarket, he was checking us out the whole time looking if we were eating the breakfast served there… Such annoying experience…

The location is super great if the trip agena is mainly to visit the musuems and very accessible by tram from the central stataion. Services from the staff were very nice, friendly, and even provided a helpful tips to guide me throught to my destination.

Not many options for the breakfast compared with the price. All staff are friendly and willing to help with questions, except for the manager, who was "cold" (w/polite) to reply the questions.

The beds were really comfortable. We had a ground floor room so no real view but we took it as the lift was out of order.

The carpets were worn but the rest of the cleaning was good

Check in was quick and easy. Room was modern and well equipped for the price range The location is excellent and about 150 metres from the tram stop The bathroom was very modern and clean.

As a mid-priced accommodation in Amsterdam we could not find anything to complain about

Comfy beds, super friendly staff, shower was great - the perfect location for a weekend trip :)

Room had a bit of a funky smell when we first arrived but we opened the windows and it was fine

Location was excellent, a couple minutes from the Van Gogh museum and Museumplein tram stops. Room was large and light and airy with comfortable beds. Coffee machine with pods in the room. Bathroom was fabulous with a very large shower Van Gogh murals on the walls and in the rooms were a nice touch.

Reception staff weren’t very friendly apart from one young man with nail polish who was very helpful. The lift was out of order but was being repaired. Breakfast was chaotic and very busy, with only one staff member to do everything so items were not replenished, no bowls, cutlery, not enough places to sit. Would recommend going down early!

Location is excellent for museums and canal cruises...minutes walk away Large grocery store nearby #2 tram from Centraal train station drops you off a 15 second walk to hotel Buffet breakfast looked great...but pricey at 15 euro Away from central core but easily walked to Dam square in 20 min Amsterdams version of Rodeo Drive is 15 second walk away...if you can afford it...haha

Some of the front desk staff were snooty / condescending / indifferent which made them unapproachable. That was 2 of the 5 people we met.

Great location, adjacent to Museumplein tram and bus stop making it within easy reach of the city center and onward transport: Trams 2 & 12 for Central Station and Bus 397 for Schiphol Airport stop a few meters away. In a quiet side street directly across from the main museums such as the Van Gogh. Reception staff were friendly and gave helpful advice. My single room on the top (4th) floor was small but the bed was very comfy. The walk-in shower was great. Coffee and tea were available using a pod coffee machine, with extra pods available from Reception on request. The self-service breakfast had good choices and the staff were efficient and friendly. Seemed to attract a mix of people: families with children, couples, and singles of all ages. I would stay here again.

Although my room at the rear of the 4th floor was quiet enough as far as street noise was concerned i.e. none, it was next to the lift and the constant machine noise was intrusive. There was just one small toaster in the breakfast room which was really inadequate to cater for demand, leading to queues and/or trips back and forth to see if it was free.

The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Our shower was massive and we had a ground floor room with a little enclosed garden. I thought we would hear a lot of noise as we were right next to the stairs, the lift and the late night entrance but it was really quiet considering. Location was absolutely perfect too!!

The room above us had creaky floor boards so we heard them walking around but it wasn’t a big problem, we were only in the hotel at night so didn’t disturb us too much. The bed, whilst comfy, wasn’t the best for my back and I woke up a little achy, but that’s personal preference. My daughter slept soundly. The only reason I didn’t give it full marks is that we didn’t make use of the breakfast so couldn’t mark that but otherwise, absolutely joy and will certainly be back.

hotel was great! our room was spacious for triple occupancy, full length windows with plenty of light, staff were very friendly and helpful location was great - exactly as we imagined in the museum quarter so quiet enough at night, easy to access trams or pleasant to walk to any of our destinations, breakfast in hotel was straightforward but lots of lovely options for breakfast just around the corner e.g. 'Blushings' or 'Small Talk' beds were very comfortable, rooms were very clean and great to get fresh towels and the room serviced every day

could have better level lighting in bathroom - this is just a personal thing - all good otherwise.
