First of all, the staff was great, especially a woman called Lea whom helped us getting to know the city and recommended many things throughout the stay. 2nd of all, the location was great. Not in the middle of the busy streets of the Dam district but not so far away so we could travel by foot whenever felt like it. The tram system is super comfortable to use with 2 lines passing by at the street next to the hotel (station 3 minutes walk from the room) leading to all the popular places. Everything felt close! During our stay we got treated really well by all staff whom addresses our anniversary in a cute note and some lovely heart shaped balloons that waited for us in the first night. Only small downside to the whole experience was the shower that had a little weak stream (always hot water though). 10/10 hotel in total, highly recommnded

The hotel is in converted town houses very near to Museumplein and was therefore ideally situated for our visits to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. It is also very close to a tram stop and therefore in an ideal location. We were in our hotel room less than 30minutes after getting off the Eurostar at Amsterdam Centraal. The hotel is modern inside, warm and welcoming and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was at the back (looking out on the Gucci store storeroom) and so was very quiet. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower room perfectly adequate, although a little cramped, with the sink actually in the bedroom rather than the shower room. Decent sized bath towels are provided. A kettle and coffee maker were also provided although the coffee maker took a little while to work out. There are lots of power sockets in the room, although none of them have USB sockets so you do need to bring a USB plug. Breakfast was excellent with a good mix of continental style foods including yoghurt, fresh fruit salad and granola, cold meats and cheese and various sorts of eggs, bread and rolls and Dutch style pancakes. There is a self service bar in the hotel providing soft and alcoholic drinks and snacks. These are paid for at reception as you go; the aim is that checking out is very quick as there is nothing left to pay for. The hotel does not have an evening restaurant but we found a large variety of types of restaurant from burger joints to a la carte expensive within a 10 minute walk. All the expensive brand name shops are just one street over and just beyond those is a very nice park. Overall we had a lovely stay.

Nothing. Obviously the hotel does not have a gym, pool or spa or restaurant (other than for breakfast) but we were fully aware of that before we stayed.

We loved this hotel - the staff were fun, kind, helpful. The location was brilliant, it felt like you were in a private area of Amsterdam, but one street away on either side you were in the middle of the museums or glamorous shopping. The old town was minutes away. Absolutely brilliant location to conveniently see the best of Amsterdam. If you're travelling with kids, just round the corner is a climbing frame outside a restaurant, so we could sit outside having breakfast while they did happy impressions of monkeys. The hotel is lovely - the rooms are lovely, the shared space is really nice. We didn't eat at the hotel, but loved the snack/drinks/coffee bar facilities. If I can afford to come back, this is where I would love to stay. The price is great for the location and facilities - which if split out between people is completely reasonable considering the quality of the hotel, but a bit too expensive for me to pay for all four of us every time. If you can afford it - then do stay here.

I have nothing bad to say. My only downside is that I don't know if I can always afford to stay here. I was delighted by the hotel and location.

Location was great, very near museums and places to eat and shop. The neighborhood was quiet and upscale. All staff were superior, very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Pleasing lobby ambience with coffee, tea, and other beverages and snacks available for purchase. Room did have a mini frig and plenty of storage.

Room and bathroom were small, and the bathroom floor flooded with each shower. Shower door was not a practical design, although the jetted tub and shower were very modern. Bring your own wash cloth. The heat was difficult to maintain in the room.

Everything was great, picked it for the location due to visiting Amsterdam a lot, and we love the parks! Would've definitely taken advantage of the honesty bar, great idea! Can be hard as a visiting tourist so that's a nice touch. Rooms were great. Loved that the bathroom was separate from the sink and such, really helpful, although our sink never drained the whole time so that was weird. We tried to fix it! But with only 1 day we didn't bother with it much. The beds were SO much more comfy than literally most places we travel to, thank you! Friendly staff!! We had a great window view

Nice and spacious room in a well connected, central spot of Amsterdam where you can walk to most things within 30 minutes. Or if you don't fancy walking, the tram is only a short walk away to connect you to the rest of the city. The staff were super friendly and always on hand to help. In particular, they were flexible with helping to keep my luggage even after I checked out, which was super helpful to ensure I can explore the city easily before my flight is due

The room is still a bit pricey, but I can't complain too much when similar properties cost more for the day...

Had the best stay in Hotel JL No76 for my partners birthday, location is fantastic as right beside all museums and tramline but just slightly off the main road so was very quiet and relaxing when in the rooms, which were very clean and super comfortable. The staff were incredible, when checking in we were asked what we were visiting for and I mentioned off hand it was my partners birthday - on the day of his birthday we came back to the room and they had left balloons, chocolates and a little note offering two free drinks of their own accord which was incredibly kind. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we're back again and will recommend others to stay here too!

No toilets on main floor, have to go to basement floor using either lift or very steep, tight stairs but not a problem if you already have your room as then you have access to your own facilities - only an issue when checking in/out.

Fantastic location, next to museums and walkable to all other areas of city. Comfortable and stylish hotel, helpful and friendly staff. Nice quiet road, our room had a nice view onto the road. Comfortable bed, good storage, nice lounge area and good breakfast.

Bathroom very dark so not very inviting. Drinks facilities in room could be better, would have liked more tea, milk and sugar, a couple of biscuits and complimentary water. All provided by previous hotels I’ve stayed in.

Location is great. Walking distance to all tourist attractions and museums. Super convenient to bus and tram stops (2-3 minutes walk). Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and very quiet for the first 3 nights. The last two nights we had very noisy neighbor with a couple of kids, lots of loud talking, banging and running till mid night. We did not partake the breakfast.

The nespresso machine water container was not quite cleaned.

The breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed the possibility of having omelets with different toppings. The staff was service-minded and kind. The hotel lies in a quiet street but is still close to both museums and public transport.

We could have used more hangers and places to hang coats and towels. Guests have to be aware to ask the reception to have the room cleaned and towels changed at a specific time, as the cleaning runs until 5 pm.
