Hotel Roemer Amsterdam

Very good location. Walking distance to the main attractions. The staff was friendly, helpful and funny. You have the possibility to leave the luggage there in case you arrive earlier than the check-in time and do the check in later in the day. The room (3rd floor) was big and the bed very confortable. The pillow was too stiff for me and the stuff was very kind and provided orthers very confortable, next morning.

They are not cleaning the room daily and do not change the towels. We stayed only for 2 nights, but expected to have the towels changed at least. The coffee provided was only for one day - no refill was made.

Very clean and the location is very good as it is close to the city center, some supermarkets and the Vondelpark.

We arrived in the middle of the night and everything was closed. and they didn't let us stay in the lobby for a few hours until check-in. we could only leave our bags. it was uncomfortable because we had nothing open in the city for 4-5 hours and the weather was chilly. and a mini fridge is missing could be great to have one to cool water and food

The hotel is an accessible part of Amsterdam. It's close to the road but tucked into a nice neighborhood, where you couldn't hear the hustle & bustle of the street. You could walk to most tourist attractions, and public transportation is easily accessible. Hotel staff were pleasant, and my room was spacious. Wifi connection was great.

My room was not properly cleaned prior checking in. The carpet looked dirty and there were stains in the bathroom and dust in wardrobe. Even the coffee maker and tea cups were dirty.

We (couple) stayed in the executive double room (top floors). Room - Room was spacious for Amsterdam. - Extra large bed, very comfortable - Good AC - All facilities in room (fridge, coffee machine, kettle, cupboard with hangers, coffee, tea, milk, sugar/sweeteners refilled everyday, hairdryer) - Big bathroom. Has shower (extra good water pressure), and separate bathtub (jacuzzi) although we didn't use it. (All bathroom is black marble/stone, so discoloration stains from water) - Possible to work comfortably with laptop (there is a big desk-like console and chairs) - TV with various NL channels and others. We asked for a room with a balcony at booking. We were allocated an executive room with windows, but not real balcony. (All the above applies to it as well). The staff were helpful to allocate a room with a balcony the next day. The balcony itself is smallish, but with table and 2 chairs. View to internal garden, full of different birds (from parakeets, to jackdaws etc.) Staff - All very professional and helpful - Housecleaning attentive, cleaned/restocked every day Location - Excellent. Right next to Vondelpark - 2 mins by foot from Museumplein - Grocery (Albert Heijn), at least 2 nearby by foot, as well as Jumbo, and clothes/out-door gear stores (Bever) - 5-15 mins walking distance from anything (city centre, de pijp (excellent for food), old-west amsterdam excellent for various asian food - Roemer street itself is an interesting street (keep your eyes out for who Roemer was and for houses in different styles with different country names written on them!) - Calm and tranquil (you will get good night's sleep) after busy days To sum up: - Don't know about the other room types. Executive double room is great for couples, and for work as well. - Value for money - expensive compared to similar EU large and capital cities. If you're you're staying for several days and value space & comfort > money, recommended.

We enjoyed our stay! - On the expensive side. - Black marble/stone in bathroom could use more attention/products (for water stains). - Italian (flat) shower, so flooding in the bathroom after shower. We used bathroom floor towels (changed every day) We didn't breakfast, so can't comment. Nothing else to add.

The room was large and clean with a great view. Bathroom was exceptional, jacuzzi bath, separate shower. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Coffee machine, kettle, hairdryer, toiletries, robes, slippers. Comfortable beds, quality bedding, nice pillows. Great location, quiet street and tucked away but still close to everything you'd want. Free upgrade for my friend's birthday (late checkout) and a lovely thoughtful hand written note left at our door. Amazing value for money, will definitely 100% be back.

Really scraping the barrel to find anything! Bathroom sink was slightly small, awkward to fill the kettle.

We absolutely loved this hotel! Fabulous location and staff. We booked the quad annex for a family of four, and it was perfect. Midway thru our stay, we awoke early to a very loud sidewalk construction immediately outside our room. But the staff took care of moving us to another hotel for the remainder of our stay. Highly recommend!

Be sure to ask about construction. Otherwise, this is a perfect spot.

Great location near many of Amsterdam's attractions. The room was a good size making our stay more comfortable. We especially liked the jacuzzi tub.

The bed mattress cover did not fit and was always moving. The windows seemed to not close well so there was a draft. Our sink had a leak causing anything on the counter to be soaked. The hotel fixed it but did not let us know prior to having service done in the room. This was not considerate and we should have been notified prior to the repair. The key never worked to enter the main door to the hotel.

Excellent Location in a quiet area. Easy access to Museums, the Concertgebouw, parks, the shops and centre with good restaurants close by. We chose to pay for breakfast in the hotel the night before and got a discount of 2 euros. The breakfast was very good with hot and cold food on offer. Only a short walk to the bus stop for the bus back to the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel seemed very popular as there were a lot of people arriving or leaving during our stay which was over a Bank Holiday weekend. There is a locked storage room for cases and you will be given a ticket and a label will be put on your case or cases which we thought was well done.There is an annexe across the road which is another building like the Hotel. We had a smaller room which was perfectly adequate. Would stay here again.

The bathroom has black fixtures which unfortunatley shows marks from toiletries even though the bathroom had been throughly cleaned so it wasn't dirty just marked.

Great Room , friendly staff and good location

Quiet room, comfortable bed and pillow, coffee machine and small fridge in the room. Bathroom had both bath and shower. Good airconditioner. Breakfast was also adequate for this small hotel - scambled eggs, sausages, some vegetables, yogurt, bread, pastry, juice, tea/coffee. The receptionists were friendly, they put us in our room before check-in, the let us store our suitase the day of the departure and helped with the taxi to the airport.

We liked it all. The front of the building had scaffolding and some works were being carried out, but we only heard some very quiet noise from a worker outside the day we were leaving.
