The staff at the hotel were all amazing and very friendly. They helped with any query we had. The beds were wonderful.

The showers were a little lack luster and the scent pumped through the hotel was overwhelming at times.

Location, on a canal, room with a view, close to sights, restaurants, good breakfast, comfortable bed, staff friendly and helpful.

Room slightly small, only about 400mm around two sides of bed, Little space to store two large suitcases (we were there for a week), small area for storage of clothes.

We felt like we were on the edge of 3-4 different Amsterdam themed areas, all brimming with life and colour and excitement. The staff at this small hotel were skilfully hand-picked and each of them were amazingly knowledgeable about the area, and the events and venues nearby.

The room was tiny but we were only there to sleep in the comfy beds, and shower in the pristine bathroom.

Wow what a gem this hotel is. Easy access to everywhere either walking or by public transport with the advantage of taxis being available to book at reception should you need one. The room was clean with everything you needed.. and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. What can I say about breakfast? Quality foods with lots of choice with the most amazing coffee machine which puts both Starbucks and Costa coffee to shame lol. This gem of a hotel may only have three stars but the quality, the service and the staff are all five star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 plus. We will definitely be visiting again and have decided this is our first choice for whenever we do visit Amsterdam. Thanks to all the staff at Hotel Nes for making our stay so much more wonderful

There was nothing not to like about this little gem with it's most hospitable staff

Perfect location- close to the centre but not too close so that you could hear lots of noise. 10-15 min walk to popular tourist spots, 25-30 mins to the ferry bridge where we walked to get on the ferry to cross the river so that we could experience the Amsterdam Look Out (a must!). Staff- Absolute pleasure to meet, especially Eelco who went above and beyond for us. I booked the trip for my partners surprise 30th birthday present. Upon arrival I spoke to Eelco who I had been communicating with via booking.com, straight away he remembered the reason for our stay and wished my partner a happy birthday before giving him a little gift on behalf of the hotel. All staff were very knowledgable of the city and recommended several places to eat, drink and have fun. Room- we had room 304, a room with a beautiful view. I was skeptical about the bathroom as some reviews weren’t great, however we were very pleased with the bathroom, it looked brand new, was large for what it was and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The room had a kettle with coffee/tea ect. There was a TV and a small section to hang your clothes too. All in all really happy with the room, it wasn’t huge it was a standard room with a place to sleep and a bathroom, but this was perfect for our stay and everything you need if you’re going to spend most of your time out and about exploring the city. Reception area- warm and welcoming. Happy staff. Snacks and drinks available to buy 24/7 at reception. Price- affordable and worth every penny. Would a million percent recommend anyone to stay here, and would definitely stop again on our next visit.

Only thing I’d suggest is that the TV in room 304 was very hard to watch with it being in the place it was. If it could be moved elsewhere or could be extended at an angle then it would make chilling in the room at the hotel even better. I would also suggest a bigger area to store clothing, as it was very small and could not hang much at all. We had our things dotted about everywhere. But I suppose that’s being really picky and other than that, I can’t fault it!

Even though Hotel Nes is by far the smallest hotel(with a very tiny room) I’ve ever stayed(for 7 days), yet I did enjoy my stay there. I love the hotel for quite a few good reasons: 1)Good location in the heart of the city, close to everywhere you WANT to go just within walking distance. 2)Nice staff! The staff is very nice, warm friendly and helpful, and I can remember their names: Rick, Eelco, Hélmei, Susan. 3) Even though the hotel room is small, yet as it goes in Chinese saying:”The sparrow is small, yet fully-equipped with all the vital organs. “ The hotel provides all the facilities a good hotel should have. 4)The hotel is very cozy and homey, with very nice breakfast to start your day off. I might still book the hotel if I shall come to Amsterdam for a visit again in the near future.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area The location was central and very easily commutable to all the main tourist attractions. Very close to bars and cafes and markets and shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean and the staff were attentive and very friendly. The experience of Amsterdam was made so much better by the staff's knowledge of the area. I can't recommend this hotel enough

The price was a bit steep but you are in the centre of Amsterdam. So can't complain. With all of the pluses the price is acceptable.

The rooms were very clean but a bit small but you know it’s Europe. Bed was very comfortable, study/work table was provided. Breakfast area was very nice and meal was superb. In the heart of Amsterdam so you can walk to anywhere you want without a cab/bus. Very beautiful canal right in-front of the hotel where you can relax. Hotel staff were very cool. Hotel NES is a must for any traveler to Amsterdam.

The WiFi at the 4th floor seem to be a bit slow or off sometimes so I think the management should check that out. There were no AC in the room but a lil fan was provided which was fine. Everything else was good.

The location of Hotel Nes is really amazing, right in the heart of Amsterdam, putting everything at walking distance! The canals around the hotel and leading to the Red district or the museums are beautiful. We were staying in the Annex, so there are a few flights of steep stairs, be prepared :D The room was cosy, with good heating, and very clean. Bathroom had all the amenities. There was also a kettle in the room. Check in is open 24/7. Both people we met at the reception desk were super nice and helpful. We were able to leave our bags during the day to explore after check out.

Nothing, it was all good (apart from the stairs but we knew about it!)

Simply the best hotel I have frequented in 40 years of travel to Amsterdam. Spotlessly clean, well stocked and everything worked as it should. Powerful shower pressure with plenty of hot water at all times. Fantastic view of the canal, an elevator and the location is second to none. Excellent breakfast with a great selection presented well. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Rick at reception who was very knowledgeable and informative about Amsterdam and indeed the Netherlands as a whole. And a special mention for the lovely breakfast girl whose name I did not get who was really nice. Thank you to all at Hotel Nes and well done. In future I will stay nowhere else in Amsterdam
