Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam City Center

My wife and I were celebrating our 65th Wedding Anniversary and on the actual day the hotel could not have done more for us.

We asked for the two rooms to be close together. They were in fact in separate buildings

couldn’t be in a better location. Central to everything in the old city, but out of the noise. the level of service was extraordinary! From the front desk, to the housekeeping staff, they made us feel cared for, and about. The breakfast service is nothing short of amazing with fresh pastries, and a world class coffee machine- one of the best “in hotel” breakfast experiences I have ever had. Would not hesitate to strongly recommend, and plan on staying there the next time we are in town!

it’s really hard to fault them, I guess if I had to come up with something, the rooms are on the small side, but you are in the center of an ancient city! Every thing is on the small side.

noisy rooms sometimes you can hear the walking steps from the room next to you , expensive but I can understand because of the location.

Beautiful hotel. It felt very clean. I liked the design. Location was very nice. We had tried breakfast and dinner one day, and it was excellent.

I didn't like that I couldn't book one room for family of four (2 adults, 2 kids). It didn't seem that was an option. I was travelling with my mom, so I added myself to her room. But I ended up staying in same room with my husband and kids and it was spacious. I don't know why it wasn't able to accommodate when booking. The staff was helping to put the two rooms I booked close to each other, it was two different type of rooms so it wasn't able to be next to each other. After checking the map, she selected the room "closest" to our's. It ended up being on same floor level but complete opposite sides of the hotel.

Nearly everything: the room, the location, the breakfast, the sympathy of the staff, the cleanness, the gym, and the safety. The breakfast of this hotel is strongly recommended. Among the staff, Mr. Cristiano was especially very kind.

Although the room had a central air-based heater, the room still remained cold, especially for a person of advanced age. The heater controller allowed us to increase the temperature up to 3 degrees Celsius with respect to some reference temperature (which was not displayed on the controller monitor), but this setting reset automatically after certain amount of time.

Checked in early, caused no problems for front of house staff, who greeted me with an enthusiastic welcome. My room was superb well equipped with a great coffee machine and most importantly, spotlessly clean. I stayed for four nights, each day housekeeping made up the room and provided fresh towels without request. On the third day of my stay, housekeeping knocked on the door and asked for feedback, making sure everything was just so. I liked this, it was a nice touch. Being in the heart of the City the hotel appeared to be quite busy but had a very relaxed feel about it. The bar in reception is reasonably priced for the city, and the staff were very friendly. All in all a superb hotel, communications are first class upon booking and any responses to request are answered very quickly. Would I recommend, most definitely!

We had booked a superior double room but were given a free upgrade to a junior suite on arrival. Our first floor room overlooking the central atrium of the hotel was huge and well laid out with sleeping, sitting and working areas. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of white fluffy towels and an excellent walk-in shower. Everything was pristine and spotless, and well decorated in neutral tones. Our bed was very comfortable and our room was incredibly quiet so we slept very well. Room amenities included complimentary water, an electric kettle and coffee-maker, a small fridge, an iron/ironing board and a safe. The main public areas of the hotel were sited on the ground floor of a light-filled central atrium and included an atmospheric bar, and although we didn't eat breakfast at the hotel the dining area looked very inviting. Staff were friendly and helpful, and self-check in/out was easy, although there were staff on hand to help. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the centre of Amsterdam and an easy stroll to many sites, bars, restaurants, shopping areas, public transport links and the Central Station. There's also a handy convenience store just opposite the hotel.
