Hotel V Nesplein

Overall the hotel was very good. Maybe a bit pricy, but we had a large room and the facilities are very good. Also the hotel is in an excellent central location. Our room was quiet (we were not overlooking the steeet, but even when people in neighbouring rooms came back in the early hours you could only hear very muffled sounds from the corridor and it wouldn't have woken me up if I hadn't already been awake). The beds were very big and comfortable. There was free bottled water and a coffee machine in the room. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of water. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The bed was comfortable but I have marked it as uncomfortable because of the pillows. The pillows were square (rather than the normal rectangular ones) and this meant that both I and my partner found that we kept rolling off of them which became uncomfortable and woke me up at least twice. Also the windows didn't open and I couldn't find any way to adjust the AC/temperature - it was not excessively hot or cold, but I would have liked fresh air and more control over the temperature. Finally, the door on the shower had been fitted so that it hit the shower head and could not fully open. This was okay for me, but I have larger friends who would not have been able to comfortably get through the opening.

the location is superb.

We were in two rooms for four days and our rooms were not cleaned because we were long stay clients - never heard of such a thing before. The hotel told us that they prioritise new rooms. So because we stayed for four days we were deprioritised - this makes no sense !!!! and impacted on the comfort of our stay. Also, the laundry carts were stacked out side our rooms all day but there we no one to clean!

Perfect stay in the middle of the center of beautiful Amsterdam

Nothing, all was very nice and perfect, up to my expectations

I booked one suite and one regular room and there were no significant differences between them.

Great location, comfortable room, great vibe and a wonderful hotel restaurant and bar.

I really enjoyed it but this is more a warning for pickier guests. Housekeeping only comes by in the late afternoon, and if you’re an early bird like me and enjoy wandering around in the first half of the day and return for a late afternoon rest, your room won’t be made by then. I was there for 4 nights and never got my room cleaned. I keep it clean myself so it wasn’t a huge deal but i know some guests would be annoyed. Also, don’t underestimate the noise at night especially during the weekend. You’re surrounded by bars and it gets LOUD, people shouting up until 5am, easily. Earplugs are provided in the room for that reason.

The Room was beautiful and the bathroom was super clean and nicely detailed and spaciously organized. The location was in the perfect spot for stepping outside and going for a walk passed the shops and some museums. It was a bit of a walk to the more southern part of Amsterdam where the Van Gogh museum was and all the other beautiful places were but overall the hotel was in a good spot. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed due to renovation so we didn't get to enjoy the food but im sure it would have been amazing!

The Location was amazing very central to everything. Room was spotless and was also cleaned every day. Also the room had everything we needed. Would 100% choose this hotel again for my next stay. Excellent hotel.

Room service was unavailable when I tried to order, also a charge is added for using the service when stated otherwise in the welcome pack.

The room was very nice, well decorated, comfortable, quiet and dark. Breakfast was nice in the restaurant and the staff were friendly.

The 3 or 4 mice we encountered running around reception and into the kitchen when we came back late one night.

This was a trip of a lifetime for me to celebrate my 70th birthday with my 2 sons and we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay! The staff were warm and welcoming and accommodating in every way possible including providing a wheelchair for my use and extending the checkout time when it was needed. Both of our rooms were beautifully furnished with just the right combination of comfort and luxury! The central location was perfect as well. I would highly recommend this hotel!
