Nova Hotel

we would like to thank the hotel staff and especially the clerk Louise who welcomed us on the first day and kindly answered every question and guidance we asked to know Louise is lovely We also loved the coffee machine downstairs

The room service was not regular many times we had to ask for towels

The location is perfect, walking distance from center and just about 70m from tram station. Walking distance from main places to visit, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was very good, several options, free coffee during the day and night.

We booked a double room, which was good, except that there were not A/C, in the description when I booked it, it didn´t mention this, so we had to open windows at night but there was a lot of noise outside from the streets, so this is the only down side of our stay. I feel accommodation cost is high here in Amsterdam, more than I expected to be.

The location is near all the shopping streets. The staff are friendly and gave us a map to show is where are the attractions. You can practically walk everywhere or take the tram. It is convenient!

The room has abit of smell, and the housekeeping did not replenish our towel after we put it on the floor to be change. and after our 1st night the next day the house keeping did not make our room! After we inform the front desk the next day was ok. May be because we did not put "please make my room" at the door. But they cams in to take away the towel on the floor and left without cleaning the room and replenishing my towel they took away....

The location, slightly out of the hustle and bustle; nice hot strong shower; large triple room, free tea coffee and the comfy bed

We had a triple room, on the 1st floor looking out to the street. Unfortunately there was a seating bench which was under our window. In the evening/night time in bed, we could hear people talking, cars closed doors at the entrance, smoking (even though there was a no smoking sign) and dragging of bags on the pavement. If we weren’t directly near the ground floor, our stay would have been perfect.

I really liked how close the hotel was to everything! We did not need any transport options as any place we wanted to go to was within walking distance. Apart from this, bed’s were very comfortable and staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to visit Amsterdam.

Some parts of the room were a little dusty although toiletries, towels and linen were super clean and can’t say any other faults towards the hotel as i stated before the hotel was perfect.

the owner asked us to drop off the keys when we leave the hotel and get them back when we come back, like in a hostel. i understand the idea though i think it’s not really a suitable concept for hotels ( i did not mind the steep stairs, but one might not like that, older/overweight people

The room was big and beautiful. The bath room was clean and renovated. The carpets/rag in the hotel contained many stains. That made the hotel look unclean. The sheet in bad had a coffee stain. 2 of 3 receptionists were friendly and patient 1 was rood and made me feel I am bothering her

As always it has been a blast! we keep coming back (and we will be) for a reason. the staff is so kind, breakfast was sooo good and im a very picky eater, location is AMAZING it was super rainy when we were there and it was so nice to keep coming back to the hotel to put our bags of shopping or just get cozy for a bit then go back outside to continue our agenda.

As usual, there was a group of drunk Brits who thought they needed to play loud music at 1am and scream from their rooms at 7am. This is not a reflection on the hotel, just a reminder that Brits are unnecessarily disruptive much too often. And I sadly say this as someone who has lived in the UK for 10 years. The one thing I would have wanted was to be able to call reception when the music was blasting at 1am, but the room phone didn’t seem to have that option

The location is wonderful, right at the heart of city centre, near the Dam Square and royal palace. The tram stop No.2 and 12 in front the hotel would connect us to Amsterdam main attractions and Central station.

The bathroom needs to be fixed (the hotel receptionist has been informed of the issue)
