The hotel is a small “boutique” style hotel - a one-off property. The hotel itself is located in a converted house on a main road on the outskirts of Haarlem, but still within the town area. The conversion has been professionally done to a high standard. There is one room in the roof space and another 3 or 4 (?) downstairs. Everything is digital, there is no reception. Check in and check out were seamless and very easy. There is ample parking right in front of the hotel. Our room was spotless and well appointed. The bed had a quality topper that was very comfortable and we slept well. Our room, in the roof space, had an open plan bathroom with the glass shower cubicle and the bath in the actual room. I am not a big fan of this concept but in this instance it worked well and did not seem strange. The rainwater shower was excellent. There was a small kitchenette, an iron and board as well as some comfortable chairs.

Overall our stay was faultless. If pushed to find fault I would judge that the attic room was a bit on the dark side despite one full length window overlooking the garden and lake. This really wasn’t an issue but nowhere is perfect, right?

The hotel looked good on the site - and it massively exceeded our expectations. The base was perfect for us - in cycling distance of Haarlem, Heemstede, Zandvoort - and the station at Heemstede for the train to Amsterdam. The patio/terrace outside our room (the Royal suite) was great and we didn't realise that we'd benefit from a great and peaceful garden. Bas, the owner/manager, was really helpful and the service was first class all round. Can't recommend it highly enough - but do note there are no communal hotel facilities like reception or dining room. Wasn't a problem for us - and the excellent continental breakfast was left outside the room each day.

Nothing - we loved it all.

What a glorious hotel stay. The hotel somehow manages to be in a quiet yet central location in Haarlem, and it was a pleasure to walk from it to the downtown area by way of the adjacent park. Despite the fact that we were on the ground floor, it was so quiet and private, especially with the wonderful garden and patio right outside the back door! The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating, and the elaborate breakfast tray that appeared as if by magic at the door in the morning felt heaven-sent! Our room was beautifully decorated, and very well appointed. I was sad to leave!

I would not hesitate to rebook and would encourage anyone considering booking at this facility to look no further! Just for the sake of the proprietors, I will mention that the room needed a paint job; it is a shame to let such easy-to-remedy details let down the luxurious feel of such a wonderful place to stay.

It is just a beautiful place to stay. The staff is super nice and helpful! I would recommend this hotel to anyone that plans to relax. Really close to Haarlem´s city center and the beautiful cathedral. The breakfast was super delicious and really filling (the croissants were the best).

When showering the water ran out of the shower into the bedroom, we had to use all the towels to clean the mess. Apart from this issue, everything was super nice! Would definitely stay there again

The accomodation was absolutely wonderful and a bliss to stay. Bas has made our stay even better. He was so incredibly helpful and kind. Really went the extra mile on making sure we had everything we needed. The way he communicated was amazing and we will for sure recommend it to everyone and will come back!

Nothing.

We really liked the room. Bright room with shower unusually positioned. Off road parking. Very large bed. Regular buses nearby to the centre and the train station. Coffee machine and fridge in the room.

A bit too far, for us, to walk to Haarlem centre, but buses were regular.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this hotel, we wish that we could have stayed for longer. Check in proved to be easy via text message, the room was exceptional, as was breakfast. Our host was the most helpful, courteous and friendly guy possible. We were able to access a garden where we could sit and enjoy the nice weather but also securely keep our bicycles.

Nothing.

this is a lovely boutique hotel. we stayed in the large suite and everything was perfect. we loved the breakfast served to the room and a quiet morning coffee looking at the garden. the staff was very friendly and quick to respond. I would use their bicycles next time versus renting at a shop.

there can be a little street noise but it did not disturb us.

The room is so so beatiful, easy to access, comfortable bed! And the price is super reasonable! We had an amazing stay!

As we stay in the ground floor and heading to the main street, sometimes we could hear cars or scooters passing by, and also the guest from upstairs. But it wasn’t that bad.

Beautiful environment with a surprise garden access. Close to a park and restaurants. Nice host that reacted immediately to our questions.

The check in process was digital, which in itself is fine and should not be left until a few hours before arrival as questions may occur.
