Hotel ML

Great location right in the center of downtown Haarlem. Right across the street from a beautiful church. Can walk to restaurants and bars within seconds. Parking is in a paid (33 euros a day roughly) underground garage that is very close to the hotel. Breakfast is worth the money because you get a pre-set selection of various hot and cold items. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The beds were pretty firm and not super comfortable. The air con is a portable unit that only works when the hose is out the window, meaning if you want air con you have to hear all the loud street noise. Even with the window closed, the street noise is audible way into the night. The church side is a little quieter than rooms on the other side that face the bars. We had to change our original room due to the noise. The shower is rather small.

Everything was perfect !

Central location, lovely view of St Bavo. Spacious room, tasteful decoration and good facilities. comfortable bed, separate bathroom and toilet. Original features, well lit and airy. Breakfast room nicely decorated. Professional, courteous staff - exceptionally helpful and obliging. Assisted with luggage and sorted out a problem with the room safe. Kettle and coffee maker in room, with good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. The breakfast was fantastic - lots of variety and catered for gluten-free diet brilliantly. Very clean

The location is perfect. So close to most attractions. The hotel and rooms are lovely. I loved our room. The toiletries were very nice and smelled great. My only complaint are sounds of furniture being moved late at night. We really couldn't figure out where it was coming from. The breakfast is very good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

As mentioned above, at around 11pm, there were sounds above us that sounded as if furniture was being moved constantly.

The staff was accommodating and so very friendly! They let us store our baggage and delivered it to our room when it was ready while we were out. There is an elevator! Location was wonderful. Would absolutely stay again. Haarlem is an exceptionally friendly place with lots to see and do. Stay here if you want to be near Amsterdam, a short train ride away, but away from the crowds and hotel prices of Amsterdam.

Not a thing!

If you're a foodie, you must try the tasting menu which is far better value than you'd pay in a capital city like Amsterdam or London. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Breakfast was plentiful with additional options like fresh smoothie and fresh OJ. The staff can also provide local beers. Location, views, access to local bars/restaurants - but the ML's own were great anyway,

The spacious room was a little cold, but bed was warm. Room was a little plain but had great views over Haarlem,

My room got changed very easily and uncomplicated after I complained that it was very noisy as the windows were in direction of the square. The new room was very pretty, big bath room and quiet. The hotel is well located in the middle of the city center with many restaurants close by. Nice and helpful employees

The rooms are a bit rough around the edges. You need to open a window in order to use the A/C. Not very ego friendly.

Really nice quirky hotel, our room (superior suite) was HUGE and nicely decorated, and the bonus was the access to the roof and view on the church. Beds are super comfy and have the softest sheets! Breakfast is neither a buffet or à la carte, it's the same for everyone: egg cooked to your taste, bread and croissant, some fruits, yogurts and meats/salmon/cheese. I wish we hadnt accepted everything as we didnt touch the meat plate and it felt wasted! Only minor inconvenience was the buzzing noise in the wall right behind the bed.

This is a centuries old building, but everything is fresh, clean, and bright. The accommodations we had are spacious, including a separate sitting room with Nescafé coffee maker, sofa, table and chairs, and windows overlooking the Grote Kerk. The modern bathroom included a bathtub and a separate shower. The toilet was in its own room. The bedroom had a comfortable bed, and an armoire to hold your things. we felt like we were in a small apartment.This corner of Haarlem has almost no vehicle traffic. We enjoyed the sounds of the ringing church bells and the soft buzz of activity from the many shops and restaurants in the streets below.

This hotel is very central being on the main market square facing the Grote Kerk. The town itself is old with beautiful buildings. The whole decor and atmosphere of the hotel speaks of high quality and it is more distinctive than a large corporate hotel. Our room was one of the newer ones, of a generous size and very comfortable with air conditioning which was appreciated on a very hot day. The staff were very helpful. Because we tended to wander about we didn’t eat in the hotel though the bistro and Michelin-starred restaurant looked good.
