President Hotel Auckland

President Hotel is definitely value for money. The hotel's location is super central and has easy access to everything that you need being directly next to Countdown. The breakfast included is basic but still good, boasting hashbrowns, eggs, sausages, bacon and juices. I would definitely recommend staying here based on value for your money.

While President Hotel was overall excellent for what you're paying, please keep in mind that there are a few wacky things about the hotel. The elevators are very problematic at times, they often won't work when you need them and will detour to other floors without prompting. There is a maximum of 15 minutes of hot water in the showers so just be mindful of that, the windows in our room didn't open so it often got very hot easily. Overall these were just smaller details that I think could be improved upon but a still an overall nice stay.

Good location. Clean good sized room but a little dated and shabby. I note renovations seem to be undertaken on another floor. Room overlooked a large Wilson car park and construction work in the street below. Breakfast included was good. It could have been improved with the inclusion of fresh fruit and prunes. Met the lovely Pamela from the kitchen. She has a beautiful welcoming smile and a few nice words each morning. A credit to your business.

As stated a few additions to breakfast menu. Updating the room. Some fresh milk in the room fridge for the tea drinkers.

The room was really big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We had a perfect view to the sky tower. The staff was friendly. You could do everything in walking distance.

There were a lot of noises in the room which made us wake up a few times, like the fridge running all night and the air conditioning were making noises one night although it was turned off. We would have liked having some more spreads or bread toppings for breakfast, there was only one kind of jam. Some cheese or fresh fruit would have been nice to have, especially for vegetarians or people who don’t like sausage and mushrooms etc. for breakfast. Also the music in the breakfast room was very loud and not suitable for people having breakfast.

Staff were quick about checking in. My room was close to the elevator. There was a microwave in room.

I did find a long black hair on my bed. Wasnt mine as i had blue hair then. Would have been great to be notified about the road in front of building being closed off. And access would be much harder than usual.

The hotel is well located for a stay in Auckland, with easy access to the harbour and other methods of public transport, as well as the retail and eating establishments of the cbd area. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the breakfast is a good value meal to start the day.

The developments that are on-going and will be for the rest of 2023 and into 2024 around the hotel do cause some inconvenience, and the noise from around the area on Friday and Saturday night ( cars, music etc ) was not really appreciated, although it has to be said it was not from within the hotel,

We chose this hotel as it was convenient, coming off a cruise ship in the port, and we could walk to the hotel. And it was close to the main bus station where we caught a tour to Hobbiton Movie Set. Restaurant was next door - good food. Located across from the Sky Tower where we booked the Hop On/Hop Off bus tour. It was great to be able to walk to wherever we planned to go.

Nothing that was the hotel's fault....but lots of construction around the hotel. Glad we weren't driving!

Situated in Auckland CBD next to Sky Tower this hotel is as central as it gets. Transport from/to airport is easy with Uber. I reccon the hotel was built in the eighties and got a charm from that period. By that time this 14 story building must have been one of the highest in the neighborhood. The full English breakfast is well done. The rooms are tidy and well looked after. They leave messages if they cant tidy for instance the bed of some reason. Good!

Check-in was really easy and straight forward, very friendly and helpful staff, clean room with everything we needed at hand and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was included and was really good value for money. We were also very impressed with the efficient way the breakfast was run. We also loved how we could leave or car a bit longer in the car park while we had to run some errands.

Our stay was for only 1 night and there was nothing we could fault. For us, everything was fine, clean and comfortable.

We were 3 families, ourselves and our two daughters. The room of one daughter was small and air conditioner not working properly. They moved them to another room which was much larger and everything working well. Ideal location close to all attractions especially the Sky Tower. Parking below with direct lift to lobby and rooms was great.

Decor little bit dated but comfort, location and staff made up for it. Great breakfast which was included another feature.

It was pretty much as I expected. Excellent location, comfortable with all the amenities I would expect.

At check in I had no photo ID so we had to change the booking into my husbands name. So far, so understandable. However when it came to payment I had intended to pay but the clerk would only take payment from my husbands card. I have not encountered this situation before. I wouldn’t have thought it would make much difference who actually paid.
