SkyCity Hotel Auckland

Always fresh crisp clean sheets. Place is clean and tidy. Was a good price for 3 adults!

A little disappointing this time. Hope this isn't the standard due to 'Covid' which is becoming the norm reason for business these days. We have always enjoyed our passed multiple stays at skycity hotel. A bad smell of stale janola/ cleaning product that filled our room. Not sure if it was coming from the air conditioning or the drain plugs in the bathroom. Could be abit more generous with their milk for our coffees. Given only enough for one coffee for your stay. The room was quite cool at the further end of the room when lounging on the couch or sitting at the desk. The fan wasn't working to turn this off on the air con.

For first two days the housekeeping didn't clean my room properly . But when u raised the issue to the level of feeling bad about it and I told the staff that I will check out if the room not cleaned as per the standard then management acted and got my room cleaned properly and kept it clean for next 8 days also. But it was unexpected for me that I had to really request for cleaning as it should be done automatically. I hope it doesn't happen again in future. But it was handled well when escalated and I had shown my desperation .

The location is great, easy to access. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Valet car parking was a great option. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean. Room service was great as well. All the food we ordered was delicious and the menu had a decent variety of food to choose from. Staff who delivered very friendly and warm too, even apologising if it took too long (which we didn't notice). Quite handy having direct access to the casino, and it also being walking distance to Queen St and around the city. And driving access fairly quick and easy to get out of the city too.

I was just a bit disappointed that there were no bathrobes and slippers or mini bar items. Especially the slippers as I always wear them in hotels rooms when im travelling I didn't realise prior to staying that they didn't have a pool on site either, it's located at the Skycity Grand I was told.

Facilities where good, however carpets could do with a vacuum.

The Service at Sky City was exceptional particularly the staff and its customer service. The location was brilliant, right in downtown Auckland and in walking distance to the Harbour which was great as we jumped on the Ferry to Waiheke Island. The Front of house staff both on Reception and the Concierge Desk provided friendly and very quick service, they are to be commended. Room Service was brilliant the "kitchen' was able to make me a meal that met my dietary requirements. The Valet service was also brilliant from drop off to pick up. All in All, a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious.

I guess if there is one thing to complain about that is not fault of the Hotel is the smell of Cigarettes wafting through the Corridors of the hotel, particularly on H2 & H1. Being a non-smoker, I found it was like secondary smoking, but otherwise no other complaints.

The housemaid workers were delightfully friendly, helpful and happy. Also the sheets on the beds were of wonderful quality. The hotel was immaculately clean.

Thought a pen or notepad advertising the hotel would have been appropriate for a hotel of this calibre. Also an in room folder of information regarding the hotel and its facilities would have been appreciated. The short downhill walk to the Main Street was challenging for an aging pensioner, and then back uphill.

King size was large and comfy Pillows were adequate Room is clean and tidy Nice large TV adequate for the room

Toilets were dated and shower was a bit small. Water pressure was average Soundproofing not very good as can hear cars from the street Needs more charging ports around the room Need some small plates or bowls Temperature controls were hard to use There was a small leak in the toilet causing some water on the floor (water was clean though)

I always enjoy staying at SkyCity - it's in a convenient location, the staff are amazing, and the rooms are always immaculate. I particularly like SkyCity because there is a bus that goes directly from the airport to SkyCity ("SkyDrive"). This most recent stay I got an unexpected free upgrade, which made my stay all the more enjoyable.

If I had to say what I don't like, it's that the foyer is always busy, meaning I can't discretely run down and pick up my uber eats order in my pajamas; but that's barely something to complain about.

The hotel is, as its name indicates, at the location of Sky Tower, which offers great views over the whole city and harbour. The room was large and clean, with good amenities, and it was quiet despite being in a busy area.

Having now been to Auckland, I would choose a hotel closer to the harbour and Queen street, which is a more pleasant area than sky tower. The hotel also harbours a large casino, which makes for a peculiar atmosphere. But I can’t fault them on the quality of the rooms and service.

The Venue it's self was very clean and well cared for even though it is a huge tourist attraction - the room was huge the bed felt like it was even bigger. so many well working amenities included in the room, made to feel right at home, i just didn't want to leave the room.

If I have to get nitpicky. The bed was so big for little me. when i had to wake up it felt like I really struggled to get out of bed, it was just pulling me back in the whole time. oh no what a horrible thing how dare they. * sarcasm* (there was nothing wrong)
