Ramada Suites Victoria Street West

The big surprise was having 2 induction hobs, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer in the room. That was so convenient as we could buy pasta to cook and do our washing whenever we needed to and we have come home with little dirty washing. The bed was really comfortable and the TV had a wide range of channels.

There is nothing the hotel can do about this sadly but there is. I way to ventilate to outdoors because it has big glass windows that don't open. That means that it can get smelly and stuffy in the room. There are Aircon and extractor fans which do the job eventually.

Great central location, Room was clean and comfortable for our short stay.

We found the door didn't close easily and needed to really be pulled closed behind you. Unfortunately we came back to our room on two separate occasions and the room was open as housekeeping hadn't closed the door properly. Staff were receptive of feedback and apologetic but it left our belongings at risk.

The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from Queen Street. Supermarkets, harbour, Sky Tower and everything important can be reached quickly. Quiet location in Auckland, yet close to the centre. The staff were all friendly. Checking in at night also worked well despite the reception not being manned. We were satisfied with everything so far. Perfect for a few days of acclimatisation after a 25-hour flight to get to know Auckland and the surrounding area. We had not booked breakfast. There was coffee/tea in the room and a kitchenette for self-catering.

In room amenities: Washer & Dryer, AC, refrigerator, microwave, small stove, dishwasher, cooking appliances/dishes. Great hot water for shower. Room size was good. The instruction sheet for using all amenities was awesome. Location: within 500m of skytower. Which is also a tour pickup site.

Lack of pillow variety. Needed for spouse due to medical facial issues. When we asked the front desk, they did not think they had any. But they could check the next morning with housekeeping. So apparently not something they can resolve in the evening. We were leaving the next day.

Best value for money. It had all requirements like a fully furnished Studio Flat. The furnitures were as required and more than adequate. The location was excellent, the staff were fantastic. Having exclusive washer and dryer in the room, well arranged was very good. Will come again. Happy to recommend. All the best guys. Keep up the good work. God bless

More of a requirement than anything negative. Maybe a night duty staff at the front office. The bedside tables to have draws and a locker in the room for valuables and passport/docs.

A great room that was clean, stylish and comfortable. The staff were very kind answering any questions I had and kindly gave me anything I asked for (razor, hot chocolate mix, creamers, laundry powder). They even brought my receipt to my room as I was a bit slow going down to the lobby. Great people!

It's not a bad location, but it seems that the parking nearby is very strict so if you are being picked up or dropped off, you may be asked to go somewhere else or be ready to hop on as the vehicle slows down for you. The light switch for the lights above the bed were a bit of a reach from the bed.

Location was perfect! walking distance to downtown / lots of places to eat and shop / close to harbor front and right across the street from Hertz where we got our rental car the next morning. Reception staff were amazing. Raj was very helpful. We were able to leave our luggage in a secure room until check in time. (our flight arrived at 6 am) we dropped off our luggage, were able to change our clothes and could walk around for awhile. Check in was 2pm I think, and Raj advised to pop back in around noon to see if the room was available and it was! We were able to get our room and head back down to the harbour to catch the ferry over the Waikeke island. (gorgeous island with a caribbean feel and 20 wineries. We did the hop on hop off bus tour for the afternoon- it was awesome) Back to our room it was very clean/ the shower was large . Bed was comfy (our only complaint would be lack of electrical outlets,but we ran into this for the next 3 weeks everywhere we stayed) We should have brought a multi-plug unit.

I loved the convenience of everything being provided for a self sufficient stay but with the services of a hotel (housekeeping etc).

Nothing about the hotel itself at all, other than it would be good to have 24hr reception/security staff. On my last night there were guests shouting in the corridors of my floor from 00.30 to 4.40am and I had to be up for my flight at 6am. I didn't feel safe going to confront a large group of drunken people alone without security and it ruined my last evening (and 2-day journey home).

Great central location, staff very easy to deal with . Room is a good size. Nice in room tea and coffee options, fridge and good shower.

There needs to be a small lamp by the bed rather than the ceiling lights. Not so great for working as no desk. Rooms facing Vic st even on third floor are very loud from street noise. I’ve stayed on graham st facing rooms which are way quieter. As a corner room the heat pump air con just blows on hallway wall meaning room is very warm and for new ac it is very loud. Very little ability to set fan level.

I liked all the appliances etc that made it good for a longer stay (21 nights). It made it a comfortable and practical place to stay. We could wash our clothes, cook, make coffee, watch netflix on the tv, and there was plenty of room (living room/kitchen separated from bedroom). Everything was refilled too (like soap for the dishwasher). It was centrally located, just a few minutes from Queen’s St, so it was easy to walk everywhere.

They don’t clean every day (just take out the trash and tidy the bed), I think it’s once every three days or so. I don’t mind this, but sometimes because of circumstance, we would miss out on the big cleaning days. It wouldn’t be good that we’d miss out on those cleaning days for a couple times in a row.
