Its new and well located in Auckland City. The 38th floor rooftop bar is brilliant. Two complimentary bottles of sparkling NZ water

Housekeeping needs to be more thorough. The shower smelled a bit sour and the bed was poorly made ie looked slept in. There was a single wine glass provided in the luxe fridge and sideboard Also no milk in the fridge and guests are expected to drink the comp water out of the bottle. Front desk check in was very perfunctory. Hardly any sort of greeting. Rather ‘your c/c and id!’

The hotel is brand new and the facilities (such as the room and gym) felt quite luxe. Stayed for five days and enjoyed it. The bed and pillows were great. I stayed on the 35th floor and the views were, of course, fantastic. The room itself was very spacious, comfortable and had very good finishings (full length mirror, soft lighting, reading / study nook, Google chrome cast), along with the usual kettle, tea and coffee packets. They provide two large bottles of sparkling water in the room and there’s refilling stations on the floor. Daily room cleaning was also provided and the room was spotless. Very impressed. Breakfast was also great. You can choose one hot meal (such as eggs benedict) and one side (such as a tray of delicious pastries), with unlimited coffee, tea / juice, cereal and toast. Room service was prompt and delicious. Staffs were lovely and friendly. Had a bit of an issue with my booking but Sunny (the manager) sorted it out immediately. Overall, would stay again. Service and quality is definitely up there with five star hotels. Tip: toiletry amenities not provided in the room (except shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion), but they do provide it so just ask during check-in if you require it.

minor hick up with the booking.com reservations. I had prepaid and so had the other person checking in next to me but the hotel had no record and wanted to take the funds again. had to show the funds being taken from my bank account and the confirmation of payment email from booking.com was not the best start of the experience but I wouldn’t put this solely on the hotel as it was through booking.com. just a word of advice for others, have your payment confirmation email handy at check in if this happens.

The hotel is located in the city centre. The hotel is very modern and has a nice interior architecture. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast was very tasty and made with good quality ingredients. The possibility of having the car parked by the valet service was very good. The hotel offers extremely fast internet (the fastest we have ever experienced in a hotel - over 110mbit download and 80mbit upload). The room in the higher price category was very spacious, clean and had a wonderful view (Sky Tower).

The services offered were matched by the price of the stay, which, euphemistically speaking, was not the lowest (cave Parking extra). Check out by 10:00am is too early for European conditions and the price of the stay, but probably common in New Zealand.

Great location, walk to everything. Gorgeous view of the harbor from our 33rd floor room, very comfortable bed and room. Nice bathroom. Great breakfast with omlette. Loved the rooftop bar, especially the outdoor portion. Staff very efficient and helpful. Got us into our room early. We had 2 rooms, and both were great, other was on the 25th floor with a beautiful view in a different direction. Would highly recommend this hotel. We were totally happy with our 4 day stay.

Dinner options limited and had to order it to room service as restaurant was full due to Valentine's day, and food arrived cold and was very expensive for what it was. Understandable holiday problem though, so it didn't bother us much.

Really nice rooms with comfortable beds. Good view. Nice Sky bar and terrace. Location was good. Some good options in the restaurant.

Housekeeping - our room was serviced on the 1st day but on days 2 and 3 we arrived back to the hotel in the evening and our rooms hadn’t been done. Had to request both times, meaning we had to go and wait (and spend £) in the bar upstairs as there’s no lounge. On checkout day housekeeping came at 9am to ask when we were leaving, I told them 12 (checkout time). They came back again at 11 to ask if we were leaving yet. Between that and the valet service it felt like we were being rushed out of the door

To start, this hotel has a pretty good location within the CBD area. Everything is well-located from restaurants, grocery stores, and main tourist attractions within the city. If you want everything to be in walking distance, I would highly recommend this hotel. Moreover, the staff and faculties were quite nice. Staff were very accommodating to make my stay quite reasonable. Though I did not use the faculties much (i.e. gym mainly), it was nice to have them available.

The main thing I really did not like too much was how late check-in was and how early check-out policies were. If you arrive early, rooms cannot be checked into 3 PM or later, this was at least for me. Though it was a minor setback in my opinion. Lastly, the bar on the top floor had really good service and products, but be aware of the prices of the items. The menu on the items were well catered, though I really do not think they are worth as listed. The cocktails I got were delicious, but not worth USD$15+ in my opinion.

The location is great, in center of city, walking distance to weta, sky tower & All Black Experience. The room is modern and good size for our family of 4. The breakfast has choices, specially there are options of ordering hot plates. Specifically, It's nice to see the restaurant manager's smile as soon as we enter the restaurant every morning. 38Floor Bar is a must-try. A good wine, overlooking the city, sea view and sunset… Overall, VOCO set a high standard for our New Zealand trip.

Next time, would like to have a sea-view side room.
