MASA Hotel & Spa Campo Grande Collection

The room was like a mini suite with large balcony and the breakfast buffet incredible. The hotel serves no alcohol and this was the first time I have come across a dry hotel with a bar serving mocktails and juices. While I had wanted a glass of wine with my lunch, it was not a problem, and I'm putting the fact the hotel is dry as a positive because there were plenty of bars in the area and lots of people don't want to be around alcohol. Also with a 24h restaurant a bar serving alcohol could have meant drunkenness and anti-social behaviour.

Apart from a free 20 minutes per stay, you have to pay for the pool, gym and spa area, minimum €15 for 2 hours. I arrived from the airport around 10 am and as I had planned, spent four hours (cost €20) in the pool and spa area (which was lovely) before I was able to check in at 3 pm. One of the reasons for choosing the hotel was the pool so it was a little disappointing not to have free access.

Friendly staff that went out of their way to assist. Breakfasts were superb with an extensive offering. Absolutely loved my stay. Extremely well located, clean, modern and fresh. Amazing Spa and extra bonus of being able to use the facilities for 20 min. (Jacuzzi included). I would most definitely recommend this hotel as value for money, in every way imaginable. From the staff, to the food, to the modern, clean and fresh bedrooms. Fortunately Masa Hotel is a 6 minute walk to the Metro with very easy and quick access to Marques De Pombal, the central location for the Hop on and Hop off Busses to all the sights seeing your heart will delight in. I would advice the Red Bus Line by Grayline Company. Reasonable ticket prices and luxurious bus.

The staff manning the breakfast buffet area were not so friendly ( no smiling no communication) . Cleaner in this room polishing floor at breakfast ??

From the moment I arrived, their warmth and hospitality made me feel truly welcomed. I cannot say enough about the incredible staff at this hotel. Every member of the team was simply amazing, making my stay truly exceptional. The room was both spacious and impeccably clean. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet had a great variety of foods of good quality, making my mornings there truly enjoyable. Despite being located beneath an busy airplane route to the airport, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel’s rooms noise-canceling features.

There was not a single aspect of this hotel that I did not enjoy.

The room was nice.The first time we came we were welcomed with a glass of water which it was good because very hot, in the room we had the teeth kit, shaving kit sleepers etc.. our second stay was totally different, nothing of all this stuffs we had on the first stay, even the glass of water, the room wasn't serviced on the third day. Good point the breakfast buffet was great. Bad news, cocktails or a glass of wine are not available on the evening, the hotel does not serve any alcohol due to their conviction. We respect that even it's a bit frustrating.

The cost of the car park, too high, and the staff wasn't friendly and didn't smile, expected 2 girls at the front desk(the blonde with the glasses and the brune with the blue eyes)

It's very close to the subway and market/restaurants. The food is good and they serve an all day brunch. The room is very spacious and the area is quiet, so very good for resting.

The pool and gym are restricted to certain types of room, so if you want to use it, you have to pay extra (20 euros per 2 hours). The majority of the staff isn't friendly. They are not disrespectful, but it seems they don't like their jobs, which for a customer experience business and a 4 star hotel, makes a lot of difference.

Modern new hotel with a large spacious bedroom and bathroom. Beautifully decorated! Conveniently located very close to the airport and within walking distance to two metro stations which takes you to the historic center in mere minutes. An excellent buffet breakfast.

This is not a budget hotel and so it is pricier than most and that is to be expected for this type of hotel. That said, there is an indoor pool (part of the spa) which is an additional cost to use. Also, excluding mini bar, tea, coffee and water supplied in the room is all charged. This seems a little unfair concerning what you pay for the room.

The Hotel exceeded our expectations, when we walked in the first thing you see is the beautiful modern lobby. The staff is helpful and kind. when we got to our rooms it was beautiful and spacious, there was enough light and it was clean and cosy. The shower had a rainfall attachment which was lovely and made the whole experience luxurious. the bed was soo soft and cosy. the room was soo nice that it was hard for us to leave during the day to do other activities. the highlight was the breakfast with a variety of items to suit any palate. we had the most amazing breakfast here. will definitely recommend others to stay here!

Everything and everyone is superb. The jugs of cold water, flavored with fruit, lemon or herbs, at the reception, that was offered to us on arrival should be a universal standard of hospitality. Great reception team, breakfast staff, doormen. Wonderfully large, clean, comfortable rooms. Fabulous view over Campo Grande. The massage service in the basement was excellent. Great idea to have a games room.

The pool room was too hot,especially since it was summer. Also, I don't think there should be a charge to use it.
