VIP Executive Zurique Hotel

Great value for money. Room was clean and staff were really nice and helpful. Excellent location, close to the city centre and at walking distance of everything. Lovely pool, towels available from reception at a small cost. Reimbursable deposit, when you give towels back. Will definitely stay here again.

One of the elevators wasn't working, and the waiting time was really long. At times there were long queues of guests waiting. Also I needed an iron for a few items of clothes and there wasn't one available for the guests to use. Instead you had to fill in a form for the laundry service to do this on your behalf at a cost per item, which I thought was quite expensive.

The location was good as it was right next to a main train station Entre Campos which takes you all over Lisbon, Sintra, Porto, Cascais etc. There were many bars and restaurants in the area too. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Had good night's sleep as no noise was heard from other rooms, very silent. The room was cleaned, fresh towels left and bed made every day which was great. They even changed our bedding mid week! Perfect. Loved the pool on the hot days and we had a room with a pool view on the 2nd floor so it wasn't too far a walk to get there. There was also a small bar serving fizzy drinks and Super Bock along with pizzas. Our flight was very early and we had to leave at 4am. The porter on duty called a taxi and it arrived within 5 minutes, there was no need to pre book. Had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend.

The air con in the room wasn't very strong and if the window was left open to get air in, you could hear the planes and traffic noise, so make sure you bring your own portable fan during hot months, which is what we will do next time we stay.

Good sized and well refurbished room. Very comfortable beds and a very good amount of storage space. Windows are double insulated meaning there is no noise from the traffic or nearby airport. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. Although we did not use the pool due the weather, it looked clean and well maintained with plenty of sun loungers. While the location is not so central (but less than 30 minutes by public transport) the amenities in the area are great with supermarkets, train station and metro close by within a 5 minute walk. The proximity to the airport is also great (less than 15 minutes by taxi or 30 minutes by metro). A good tip is that the hotel's paid car park on the left of the entrance when exiting is a great shortcut to the main street rather than walking around the entire building. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

The bathroom could do with updating, especially the toilet which appears to be from at least the 80s and was continuously leaking water in the toilet bowl. Also in the bathroom, the ceiling panels move when opening the door, or seemingly when large planes fly overhead. I have also stayed in one of the sister hotels VIP Inn Berna which is next door, which serves as a model of what the Zurique could be with more refurbishment (and is also cheaper). We would have appreciated more electric sockets, at least one on each side of the beds, however this wasn't a problem in itself, just a suggestion. Also to note, the VIP chain used the Executive brand for its 4 star hotels, however the Zurique has only achieved a 3 star rating.

We loved getting off the train and crossing the street to our hotel! Getting to Sintra was a breeze! The pool was clean and not too crowded! The staff was so helpful and friendly! The hotel laundry was too expensive(Lisbon was our 1/2 point laundry) but they helped us find a nice, clean affordable laundra mat 600 meters away:). Easy to get Ubers from the hotel and the breakfast was excellent!!! The airconditioning in our room was week but with the roof top pool we didn't really care so much! Loved it!

Just the weak airconditioning but to be fair we were there during a heat wave.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness and tidiness of my room. The space in the room was ample and allowed me to move around and make myself at home. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout my stay, always going above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They even helped us enquire about the reservations at some famous restaurants in Lisbon. The location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to all the best sights and attractions in the area. I could explore the city without worrying about transportation or long walks, as the metro and train station were conveniently located nearby.

The room lightening could have been better. A few more electric sockets would also help.

Whilst the hotel isnt in the main part of the city, this can actually be a benefit as the prices in the nearby restaurants and cafes are a little more reasonable. Plus it's only a few minutes walk from the hotel to the metro and you are straight in to town then anyway. Alternatively, I walked in a couple of times, and also hired an electric scooter and whizzed in. The Hotel isn't fancy, but there's a bar and a bed and that's all I needed.

The only slight complaint was that there was only one barman on duty and whilst 5-6 of us where queueing for drinks he was marked toasted sandwiches for a food order.

Comfortable room for business traveller, very good breakfast and service. Located near Gulbenkian Museum and area with interesting restaurants not only for tourists ( e.g. Ararate, Moroccan-Indian). Good communication to center by Bus 727 (after finding out)

If you want to sleep with open windows (as we did, I also cannot sleep with aircon noise) than you will hear all the airtraffic from/to airport. We survived this...the effective 4layer windows would take out all Neiße.

Stayed here in August for 5 days. Staff were easy to deal with and were friendly. Really convenient location close to train station, shops and other amenities. Easy to get in and out of Lisbon and other tourist areas with the hotels great location and not too far away from the airport. Room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. The pool was a great bonus with a great view of the planes flying over.

Everything was great. The room very comfortable, great pool and great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good and varied. Enjoyed it all except the very dodgy questionnaire I was submitted and that I explain below.

I was approached by a man in the reception of the hotel in front of the hotel staff. This man said he was from the Tourism department and started asking very intrusive questions about my stay - with lots of sensitive and confidential data. He didn't have any ID, not even a proper questionnaire. He was writing my answers on a folded A4 sheet. It was very dodgy. I started to answer, felt very uncomfortable and eventually left but it was very oppressive. I am sure there are ethics approval procedures that need to be done in advance of these questions and I really don't think the hotel should be hosting this very irregular procedures. It was borderline harassment.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional professionalism of your hotel staff. Additionally, the breakfast provided was absolutely delightful and greatly enhanced my stay. I must also commend your hotel for its excellent location, which made my stay even more convenient and enjoyable.

I have nothing but positive feedback to share about my experience at your hotel. It was truly a perfect choice, and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you!
