Holiday Inn Lisbon-Continental, an IHG Hotel

The location of the hotel is really good. There is access to public transportation. The metro, trains & buses is less than 10 minutes walk away. There are taxis outside the hotel. Attractions, restaurants, supermarkets and other amenities are near the hotel. The breakfast was good and sufficient. There is a mini gym in the hotel which is adequate for workouts. The staff were polite and helpful especially when we had issues with our key fob. The rooms were cleaned everyday. We had more than enough towels and the bathroom was always clean.

The breakfast was repeative. It would have been nice to have some variety after a few days. The hotel doesn’t have a pool but I guess the ideal location makes up for that. More water in the rooms.

Room: the room decor felt old, I was on the 5th floor and the vibe/color was not it, it was also not very spacious. The bathroom showerhead wouldn't stay in place and it was unnecessarily comlicated to turn it on. these are, however, easy to overlook, I give it a 6.9999/10 (boomer/gen x approved) The lobby: The lobby was modern, spacious and neat, felt fancy??, I really liked it, thery should do the same for the rooms. (10/10) (millenial approved) The breakfast room and food: Reminded me of Paris hotels, I liked the feeling. Just a note to say that if you booked with Booking.com and payed for breakfast, make sure to ask them to verify if it is included in your records, i payed for it but when i went to eat i was told I didn't have the BF included. The food variety was great, the fruit looked and tasted fresh and they had way more than eggs and cerial, i ate so much salmon. and the way staff was talking with the older guests was very sweet. (10/10) (paris liker approved) The staff: Excellent, very, very, nice to the guests and they have people in different age groups working there (10/10) (Good human being approved). Last comment: I'm a bit younger than the average crowd and was not there on bussiness so I felt a bit out of place. Older folks would definitelly love it and for the young ones, the metro is near enough (unless you are going in the summer, then good luck with the heat) and linha amarela is full with local university students, get your spotify on and enjoy the view of Lx locals day to day.

The breakfast had a lot of choices and the staff was very polite. I left a bunch of postcards to be posted and they were all sent. Very happy with that.

Few things you expect to see in every hotel room were missing, like the single use flip-flops or the thingy you put on the door if you don't want the room to be cleaned. We asked for flip flops twice in two days and just got it the second time while despite informing the staff that we don't have the dont clean my room marker and asking them and the cleaners not to clean our room it was still cleaned.

The hotel was nice. it’s situated close to Campo Pequeno. The area is great. Lots of good restaurants and cafes nearby. We never have an issue with food! Every restaurant we tried for dinner was great. Back to the hotel, the installations were adequate. We received impeccable service from the front desk. . The lady that checked us in, (Elia) was phenomenal. The beds were comfortable, shower was great too. Good water pressure a lots of hot water.

waiting for the elevators! there was always a line and it seemed that not all of them were working at the same time. it was nothing too serious.

The room was spacious and nice. Housekeeping team did an excellent job of working around my schedule of being in and out of my room quite a lot throughout the day. The reception / front desk team were amazing and very helpful throughout my stay.

Unfortunately, the mini refrigerator was stocked with items for "sale" that I didn't want. I wanted the mini fridge to store items I purchased and I had to cram them in with the hotel's provisions. The hotel restaurant had limited food options, in my opinion. And, the 18.50 Euro buffet dinner on Fridays and Saturdays wasn't very budget-friendly.

Bruno at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. He gave us great information about neighborhood food options. I think we were upgraded to an executive suite. It was very very nice and not your typical two bed one room hotel room. The hotel was actually lovely and clean. We especially enjoyed the mosiacs in the lobby and artwork throughout the areas we saw, including in the suite.

I wouldn not have changed anything.

Very friendly staff. Extremely comfortable bed. Convenient location for everything. Very smooth metro ride to other areas.

Breakfast was very nice indeed (as everything else during our stay) but the breakfast room was rather crowded. Could perhaps the room be extended or the self-service section be rearranged?

Location and the fact we could have a smoking room everything was clean super comfortable bed and pillows room had everything you needed even had an iron and ironing board as well as a trouser press

It was a bit dated not a big dislike there was a broken button in one of the lifts so if you were on the 12th floor you would need to get another one there are alot of stairs to the dining room you can ask for someone to take you down in the service lift but you may have to wait a while as the reception is always very busy also breakfast room very crowded

The reception staff were super nice. I made a mistake with my room booking but they moved me to accommodate my request. Everyone was super friendly and helpful which I really did appreciate. I would stay here again.

It was not a dislike but something that could improve. The lifts could be quicker, I see a new lift is being fixed/installed which should help.

We checked in during Saint John celebrations, hotel was fully booked. The staff was very helpful, we were provided bigger room with extra bed, no additional charges. Continental breakfast offered with verity of items. Hotel location is 05 min walk from Train station/Metro Station, many restaurant are available closed to the location. City center is 15 min walk away. Strongly recommended to stay in Holiday Inn Lisbon-Continental.

Nothing to highlight except missing swimming pool facility.
