Hotel Continental Barcelona

This would be my 'go-to' Hotel if I visit Barcelona again. A perfect location right on the Rambla and a very easy walk to the Gothic Quarter, Plaza Catalunya, bars, restaurants, hop-on hop-off bus and even a Primark next door!! Great for a short stay. This is a friendly hotel and we had a lovely room overlooking the Rambla with small balcony and big bed - very clean. Worth the extra money. We also liked the breakfast terrace and the character of the place. The air conditioning was welcome too. The running snack buffet and free drinks were a bonus which makes this Hotel good value for money in an excellent location. Couldn't fault it.

There are no negatives

Breakfast was very good although variety was limited. The access to the buffet was a fantastic bonus. The location was excellent. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and room was decorated tastefully.

Very good localisation!! Very nice and qualified stuff. Nice room. Everywhere is so close, in the midle of centre.

very barren food, everyday the same greasy sausage, very little vegetables, several types of bread, a hard-boiled egg, a piece of tomato and several types of jams and... that is unfortunately all..

The location is superb. Everything at your doorstep. Nice and quiet still at nighttime. We loved to sit on our balcony with a drink and watch the world pass by. The 24 hr food service area was such a great idea. It even included alcohol. The staff greet you with a smile every time and are so helpful. The staff, the locality and the all day buffet

Well what can I say from start to finish the Hotel Continental was magnificent to the front desk namely a very pro active and helpful receptionist Vivien who was always very helpful, to helping us find the best restaurants, the food very good value for money which was available 24/7 to housekeeping exceptional. If you have not been there do try it it is the best, but always for a balcony as the view is amazing.

The noise in between rooms you can hear everything.

24hr food availability was unusual but convenient. Quality of food was good. I appreciated the gluten free bread. Various dining rooms was nice. Staff were always very helpful.

Street entry and stairs needs to be better maintained. Some noises -may have been construction in nearby rooms.

Very convenient location, and the 24 hour availability of snacks and beverages was a bonus.

The room was tiny. Even the desk clerk admitted it was the smallest room. The pictures showed walk in showers, but we had a tub that was difficult for we seniors to get in and out of safely, not to mention slipping while showering. We had to put a towel in the tub when using it.

Everyone was so friendly and the location was amazing. We were able to walk everywhere, we loved the food being out when we needed a snack an I would stay there again.

Someplace aside from the 1 small chair to sit while we were in the room

Everything. Staff very helpful, very close to everything.felt safe and loved the food provided.

A hot water jug in the room would have been good.
