Citadines Ramblas Barcelona

The location is ideal, onto the Ramblas, near a metro and 5 min walk to gothic quarter. the place has a modern feel. Very clean. No cleaning during the stay but this was an option offered on reception. Free tea and coffee from downstairs. Roof deck was nice. Modern big rooms with aircon. Friendly staff. Security on door.

A pool on the rooftop would be nice. A shower room for guests that have already checked out and collecting luggage would be useful

the location was great it was easy to reach and also we found our way pretty easy around the city. We were renting bikes which were reachable at walking distance also metro and bus stations. We enjoyed a lot that we can just walk to the Mercado Boqueria and enjoy breakfast lunch, etc. All the people that helped us at the reception were super nice and helpful, MUCHAS GRACIAS

One of the couple of things that we didn't like it's that we had cockroaches walking around the kitchen (we stayed in a studio) we felt pretty disgusted about it so we decided to not cook there. As I mentioned before the receptionists were super nice except that multiple times we could hear a lady in the back office being super loud with rude tone of voice which did not give us a good feeling it doesn't sound welcoming at all. She should be aware that even tho she's working in her back office we could hear nice and clear what she was talking about. Lastly we found the laundry tokens very pricy.

Great location, clean facilities

You will start hearing bells from church from 8am - hard to sleep in.

The location of this hotel was excellent. Right in the heart of the action. Supermarket across the road and plenty of choices to eat. Easy walking distance to many things. And metros all close by and easy to use. Always felt safe in this area contrary to things I’ve heard or read. The room was large and clean. Plenty of storage space for luggage. Air con working great as did the wifi. This hotel also has a laundrette which was great to use to wash our clothes during our trip. 9euro to wash and dry a load of washing. I’m the lobby they have free water and coffee or tea 24/7. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to family and friends.

Not very soundproof. Could hear noise from outside, in the hallway and the room next door and above. The lifts are very small but didn’t have any issues going up or down at any time of our stay.

The location is unbeatable! Super close to Placa Cataluña (and therefore also buses, subway, and taxis). You can get to anything you want to see (and there is SO much to see in Barcelona). La Boqueria is also only steps away. Lots of places to eat and shop right outside your door. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our studio was quite comfortable, AC worked great, shower was good. Elevators are small (but that’s the norm here) and reliable.

Because you are right on Las Ramblas, it can be noisy late into the night. Not the property’s fault. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Very good location, situated on Ramblas, 3 minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya. The apartment was clean , modern and simple furniture .The breakfast was acceptable, good value for money . The coffee machine in the Lobby which can be used all over the day is a very positive thing. Same the soda and filtered water machine.Air conditioning very good .

One ( of two) of the lifts was in reparation for 4 days and we had to wait too long to get a ride .I think that the Management should shorten this . On breakfast there were no vegetables ( no cucumbers nor bell peppers), but sometimes 1 or 2 tomatoes not so attractive. Although we were at the 9th floor . the bells of the nearby Cathedral, announcing the hour every 15 min was noisy.

Citadines Ramblas was the perfect location for my first stay in Barcelona. The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Las Ramblas where we could walk out from our hotel and venture to many restaurants, activities and main attractions in the city. We were also a short taxi ride from the beaches (approximately 15 mins commute). We also loved venturing around the Gothic area, which was also a short walk from the hotel. Our hotel room was spacious for two people and included a kitchenette and a large bathroom. The staff at the Citadines were wonderful and very helpful. And I appreciated the security outside the main entrance of the hotel. Thank you!

Nothing significant. We did have issues with the vending machine; however, that wasn't a big deal for us.

Room extremely clean and when serviced mid-week it was again left in first class condition. The Reception, eating and meeting areas were similarly spotlessly clean and tidy. Location is central for exploring Barcelona although being on Ramblas can mean background noise at night, especially if you want to have the window open, you get used to it. Good feeling of security. Brilliant view south to the sea from the top floor Terrace and our top floor bedroom. The availability of the Sun Terrace was a big bonus. Reception staff courteous and helpful, offering good advice on travel in and around city.

The view from the window was to the back but still nice. The location of the hotel very central. A supermarket across the street. The view from the Solarium is amazing. They let us save the rented bikes at the garage for one night.

Some homeless in the area of the hotel. On the entrance and on the back. You can hear some noises from the other floors but it was ok. Expensive breakfast we did not took it.

When booking this property the website says only 4 people per room. We had 2 adults and 3 children. You can request an additional fold up bed (it was comfortable) for 30 euros a night. We called ahead to confirm but this is something easy to setup at the front desk. The property was located right off of the main street (Ramblas). It was a little noisy in the evening with so much activity going on but you really couldn't hear it in the room. The view was great and this location had prime access to a lot of amenities and activities. Across the street there is a supermarket that is well priced and gives you access to anything you might need. The room we selected had a good sized living room, dining area, a small kitchen (Range, Dishwasher, plates, cups, silverware) and a good sized bathroom. There is also laundry machines in the building in the basement. We did a full load of laundry for the family. It costs 9 Euros to wash and dry a load. Washers were a little small. Detergent and fabric softener was provided in machine. It was easy to get access to Taxis from this location. Use the FreeNow application to get taxis to pick up at front of hotel with central access to major tourist locations. It is also a short taxi trip to the cruise terminals.

The Ramblas is a party location and high traffic area. It could get a little noisy at night/early morning with people coming back from bars and evening activities.
