U232 Hotel

Location - safe area even in late evenings, good connections to all locations of Barcelona. Kind and helpful staff. Our room was very quite, balcony was located to internal yard, and it was better, because no smog and sound from the street. Big room, and very big - king size bed.

Maybe richer breakfest menu - no sea products at all.

I really enjoyed the overall monochromatic design of the hotel . It is one of the most unique and elegant hotels I have been to. The room has a nice lay out; practical positioning of furniture to accommodate luggage and other personal items. Staff who checked me in was very friendly and helpful in the whole check in process.

The position of the rainfall shower head is a bit awkward. A longer arm would make it just right. The arm is too short, so you have to get closer to the wall to get under the shower. Not a deal breaker but would make it more comfortable with the right measurement.

my room was having a window looking to the interior of the building and it felt a little like I was disconnected from the rest of the world but that was more on me since I chose that room.

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, with several points of interest within walking distance. Moreover, a metro station is conveniently situated right next to the hotel. Overall I'm delighted with the quality of service.

I found the bed to be a little too soft, but I understand that personal preference plays a role. It would have been convenient if the TV had a smart device such as a Chromecast. The tap water was quite hard, although I acknowledge that this is not necessarily the hotel's responsibility.

well located, near to major attractions of Barcelona and plenty of cafe’s, restaurants and bars close by. The hotel was tidy throughout, the room was a generous size and breakfast was a good buffet, with a good gluten free offering (important to us). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and did a great job.

Bath/shower diverter was not functioning so could only have showers even though there was a bathtub. It didn’t really cause us a problem as we were too busy for baths, but does need to be fixed.

This is my third time staying at U232, the hotel is not only in a very convenient location that is easily accessible via train/uber/taxi to nearly all of the city’s major tourist attractions and staples, but it’s has charming/elegant and chicly styled rooms at an affordable price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When my partner was sick, the hotel arranged for a phone call between and English speaking doctor to help support. The breakfast is also very good. I’m not keen on prepaying for hotel breakfast but it’s worth it in this case.

I wish I’d known about the rooftop room with the balcony but I suppose that’s my fault. Breakfast used to include champagne and there was an hourly toast but I imagine the hotel got rid of these things to cut cost.

Great location, clean, good room, I had a nice view from my balcony (which was about 18 inches wide), and all but one of the front desk workers were great. It was also a good value at under $150 per night in Barcelona in the summer.

One of the front desk workers was unpleasant and did not seem to be very bright. He overcharged me for the tourist tax and then was visibly irritated when I explained his mistake. I gave up and waited for the next day when one of his pleasant and competent coworkers was working in order to resolve the issue. Also, the exercise facility was incredibly hot with no apparent way to activate the AC.

Travelled with family (2 adults and 2 years old child). We used public transport, so it was really great that metro station is located in the next block. Also, in my opinion, hotels location is good - not in the middle of Barcelona center, but also not far away from it. Comte d’Urgell street is full of many restaurants, small grocery stores. Breakfast was great and delicious, every morning nice waiter welcomed us and offered a cup of coffee.

Over all we had a great experience at hotel U232, but there was one misunderstanding. We had an early flight (needed to left hotel 4:45a.m.) so we asked at reception to request a taxi for us (including infant safety seat) and make a wake up call at 4:00a.m. A nice receptionist wrote down our request, but in the morning we did not receive a wake up call and also a taxi was not called for us. Luckily we found a taxi on the street who took us to the airport (without infant safety seat).

staff very friendly, polite and attentive. hotel exceptionally clean with rooms cleaned daily and also communal areas spotless. Breakfast very good with lots of choice. Hotel is not too big and about 30 minute walk to la rambla which we didn’t mind. has lovely roof terrace which we didn’t use but would have if we had stayed longer.

the shower in our bathroom did not have a high attachment so we had to hold it. Apart from that no other issues.

Breakfast was good and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The terrace was also very nice and the location was very central to the attractions we wanted to visit

Our room was facing the main road was was quite noisy with the traffic, people shouting , the bin men, so if you are a light sleeper like me, it was hard to get a good nights sleep. Also the room looked nice on the surface, there were a few areas that needed attention, things a bit damaged
