Sercotel Amister Art Hotel Barcelona

Our stay at the Amister was exactly what we wanted, it was clean in all parts of the hotel, the bed was huge and very comfortable, as were the pillows. There was a great choice of good quality food at the buffet breakfast, including fresh fruit, pastries, eggs and bacon and coffee. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The location of the hotel is ideal for seeing the sights. If you like walking, like we do, you can walk to many of the sights, if not then the metro is ten minutes away. It is also ten minutes walk from the Sants train station which goes directly to the airport. It also has a nice little roof terrace bar to chill out in at the end of a day's sightseeing. Also, if you are looking for somewhere to eat out, please please go to the Bodega Biarritz in the Gothic quarter, it was probably the highlight of our trip.

The hotel was a good value hotel for our 4 days in Barcelona, the rooftop terrace was nice and while the pool was small for an adult my daughter really enjoyed going up there. Free drink on the terrace the first night, although I was told I would get two and only received a free coke for my daughter? The location was alright, about 10 mins to multiple metro stations that got you into the centre very quickly and cheaply, because of that I wouldn't come here for a drinking holiday with friends as its a bit far away from the centre for that, but for a family trip it was fine. The weather was also amazing while I was there and the aircon in the room was very good at keeping the room cool in 32 degrees+ temperatures, a few times during the night I had to turn it off as I was cold!

The breakfast wasn't amazing, just a simple European one with various meats, breads, pastries etc, there is cereal and fruit too but my daughter didn't like the milk as it was just left out and not in a fridge or anything. I think I would just get a pastry and coffee from one of the many places nearby instead, pass lots on the walk to the metro stations. British people will not be big fans of the breakfast but other travellers may think its fine!

Perfectly located and modern and close enough to all of Barcelonas hotspots. It helped having breakfast included in the rate - this set us up for the day! The staff were extremely friendly. We got the booking.com free upgrade to the room so it was nice to have the extra space to lounge when we were back in the room!

There was two small things I had to mention on checkout, there was a funky smell in the room and the air conditioner was quite loud when it was on during the night. In saying this these relatively small issues didn’t effect our stay.

The property looks very good and taken care of. The room was spacious. The location is perfect. Close to railway stations (good if you plan to go outside of the city), centre, sea, and the places people usually go to. Room was cleaned every day. And after the cleaning it smelled very fresh and good. The staff is very welcoming and open to help. A lot of good restaurants around.

We decided to take breakfast once (it was not included for us), and we did not really like it. Since there are many good cafes and restaurants around, I would recommend going there - for the same (and even less) money, you can get food that was just made for you upon your choice. And of course restaurants bring the variety of choice. So breakfast is not really in the balance value for money.

Hotel at great location; lovely room and nice staff. The rooftop bar is nice to chill and work from.

Only disappointment was the breakfast as the selection of hot food was not very good and eggs not cooked well any of the mornings. Needs reviewed. Rooftop bar needs also better selection of snack meals.

At first it seemed really quiet, the lobby was under construction. But after an hour or two plus the rooftop drink was very nice. Pool is great to cool off but don't plan on training for the olympics in it, haha. Bartender was cool, front desk staff was extremely helpful. Hotel staff, cleaning, was spot on. A great value and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Very safe with a lot to do with in walking distance or a quick cab ride.

Next time we will probably position ourselves more in the heart of the city, get a little crazy but that's nothing to do with the hotel, again, they were great. don't come here if you are expecting wild night life outside the front door but it is just a short cab ride away.

Our room was very quiet and had a nice bath tub, which we used after a long day of walking. The bed was comfortable. The rooftop was awesome to hang out on after a long day of sightseeing. I like that there was a small gym any yoga mat so I could do yoga each morning. The other equipment was not so great but it's OK.

The shower was very splashy and hard to access. It just wasn't designed very well. Our refrigerator didn't work and we had to request a new one (which the staff brought fairly quickly). The air conditioning and temperature of the room was really unsteady and it was hard to keep the room a comfortable temperature for sleeping.

We booked the hotel to stay in the city during our destination wedding and it went perfect. The hotel is well located, clean the bed was comfortable and overall great experience.

Perhaps one thing I would improve is having a real room service for lunch / dinner. The hotel partners with some restaurant/delivery service but after 15 minutes we didn’t manage to place an order through the website and ordered with Uber Eats. Not a big deal, but would make our experience even better.

We had very nice stay in Amister Art hotel. The room was exactly the same as presented on the images and the bed was very comfortable. It is located in a nice & decent neighborhood which has bakery, supermarket and several restaurants. It is 20 min walk from La Rambla and max 20-25 min drive from Barcelona Airport. We took hop on/off bus to visit all POI in Barcelona. The hotels sells 24h and 48 h tickets for hop on/off buses which was very convenient, The hop on/off stations are about 15 min walk from the hotel. Barcelona is flabbergastingly beautiful Mediterranean city and we look forward to visit it again in near future.

Poor soundproof isolation between the hotel rooms.

Friendly stuff. Good location nearby center and big railway station. Dog friendly (there was a bowl and huge doggo bed, our dog was exited). Good big bathroom with all facilities). Everything clean and seems to be new. Thank you)

View from the room was to big construction building, not very beautiful. Not pet friendly restaurant, it’s not very logical that you can pay for breakfast, but you can’t to go there with your little dog, in many hotels where we were there was a area (near bar or in terrace, if it’s good weather) where you can enjoy your breakfast with your little furry friend, think about it please.
