Everything - but in particular the excellent central location within minutes walk of the main attractions (Blue Mosque, Agia Sofia, Topkapi), very nice large room with comfy seating and bed, very reasonable price but most of all, the amazingly friendly staff who, when we didn’t want to go out to a local restaurant for dinner due to the torrential rain, ordered in food for us and provided plates etc for us to eat it on in their breakfast room (the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant for dinner). Also worth mentioning they gave us an extra free breakfast because we arrived early on the day we were checking in before the room was ready. I’m sorry we were only in Istanbul one night but would definitely stay here again if we come back. Highly recommended.

The Hotel Ibrahim Pasha was our home for 9 nights during our stay in Istanbul and we couldn't hope for a better place to find some peace in this stunning but sometimes overwhelming city. The interior is charmingly stylish and was furnished with great love for detail. The staff was always super friendly and courteous. Thank you so much for your help and your recommendations! We just loved the breakfast, the variety of food is absolutely sufficient and the quality is outstanding, fresh juice, seasonal fruit and warm simits really made our start in the day perfect. I'd recommend every friend to stay in this wonderful place and I myself am hoping to come back very soon!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole staff of Ibrahim Pasha hotel for the amazing experience we had in Istanbul that has been more than amazing. I chose their terrace rooftop a spot for my fiancé’s proposal, not only the beautiful skyline of Istanbul made this occasion special, but the people, the cleanliness, the room, the vibe, the aesthetic have made the best of this trip. Thank you for your kindness and the hospitality. You all have been nothing but an amazing memory to both of us . This trip was an essential step in our lives and this intimate occasion would have never been done as perfect without all the assistance you offered. We look forward to coming back to ibrahim pasha hotel soon, and whom ever comes across us and asks us for recommendations, we will only be sending people your way. Greetings and best wishes to all of you, A&T

Reception is smart and attractive. The reception staff are helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast room is small and cosy with eight marble tables with two Wicker chairs apiece. Buffet breakfast, but, with staff to hand to make tea/coffee. The breakfast ingredients are plentiful and good quality. Most of everything. The lounge is wonderful. A variety of excellent eclectic seating and brilliant decor. Beautifully lit. Books to peruse. A big solid table and varied seating in the room adjoined to read, write, play games. When I said to a member of staff ‘This lounge is better than my home’ he said, ‘You are home’. Small lift or stairs (there’s only four flights!) to the rooms. Each floor is beautifully tiled around an open stairwell; with railings! My room is compact and bijou and, again, beautifully decorated with some lovely touches. It’s like a posh cabin on a ship. The bed is big and wonderfully comfortable. Nice clean bedding and plenty of lights. Small head height window with amazing views (if you tall enough) of the Blue Mosque to the right. Wardrobe, beside tables and lights and a mini fridge. Two comfortable chairs and table with complimentary pears and apples. Smart tele you can pair with your phone it says. The toilet/shower room is small with a compact shower with curtain. Two headed shower works well with plenty of hot water. Very nice fittings and good toiletries and big soft fluffy towels. Clean and comfortable. Hairdryer etc. Wonderful roof terrace with a view of the Blue Mosque and the Bosporus and surrounding buildings to die for. Listen to the calls to prayer. Plenty of tables and chairs. Beautifully tiled. There’s a telephone for ‘room service’ to the terrace. Throughout there’s plenty to look at and admire. Plus good staff. Not cheap, but.

The WIFI will throw you off if you look away too long! The industrial strength plastic shower curtain is funky but difficult to keep the floor from getting wet; but, it’s not my floor. They need a parasol (or two) on the roof terrace; it gets very hot. But, it gets very windy too, so.

This is one of those rare hotels that you are lucky enough to stumble across in your travels that show a true understanding of hospitality. From before our arrival by email, to the welcome (Turkish coffee, free afternoon tea) with very well designed tourist maps and personal recommendations for restaurants, including a tiny, unassuming traditional kebab place which we would never have found otherwise, this team know how to host. The log fires and bookshelves filled with their own books, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, the worn-in leather sofa in the window alcove in the room, the hot shower with great water pressure, the attentive service, the roof terrace for the sunset, the constant supply of hot drinks and high quality snacks, the perfect location next to the Blue Mosque all made this a perfect place to stay.

Nothing!

This hotel is a hidden gem. Every morning at breakfast both the atmosphere of the room and the selected customers made me feel like in an old Conrad's book, where distinguished gentlemen and gentlewomen were having a stop before going into some new adventure in South East Asia. The hotel is extremely cozy. All rooms are different whcih reflect the soul of the building, probably obtained from a very old previous structure. Our room was a little bit small but I guess this is what you get for being so central. Probably the only authentic experience in Sulthanamet( which is extremely touristic). But the hotel was incredibly well connected and the staff was polite and absolutely helpful. And for last...the terrace on the top....it is breathtaking and probably one of the main reason why you should go to this place...5 stars..Well deserved...and if you have a revolute card close by there are Halkbank atm which will not charge you any withdrawal fees if you have converted your money in the local currency.

As I already said the room was a little bit small compared to what I was expecting from the picture, but everything else was fine...

A wonderful boutique hotel. All the staff were fantastic - helpful and friendly, going out of their way to ensure a great experience. The terrace is magnificent with its great view of the Blue Mosque. Breakfast was good and the communal areas were very comfortable and included a library and a computer for residents to use. The rooms were beautifully decorated, the beds were comfortable and touches like free coffee and water were appreciated. But it was the staff that made this hotel special.

The most economical rooms were tiny, although considerable thought had been given to making the best use of the space available. For a stay longer than a few days it was rather cramped.

We had 3 nights at this gorgeous hotel last month. The location is amazing, close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. All the staff were extremely helpful (sorry can't remember peoples individual names 🤔) with any questions we had, especially Meri that we spoke to most days who was always happy to assist us in a very courteous and friendly manner. The view from the rooftop area is fabulous and delicious breakfasts provided. Thank you all!

Room and bathroom were on the small side but all the positives more than made up for that....we would definitely recommend this lovely hotel!!

The location was excellent for our needs - centrally located to Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome, and other major attractions. We arrived early off of a cruise and the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check in. All staff were extremely friendly and professional - the front desk in particular. The gentleman who checked us in provided us with a very thorough overview of Istanbul essentials that easily helped us navigate our visit. Our room was very quiet and clean, the bed was cozy and comfortable, and the bathrooms were nicely updated and had all the essential amenities. There was an extensive breakfast selection, and tea/coffee were available 24 hours a day. The staff also helped us arrange a cab to Istanbul airport which was approximately 45 minutes away. Best feature by far was the rooftop terrace and bar which provided a spectacular view of the city, especially at night. We felt very fortunate to find this hotel - would definitely stay there again and recommend to others!

The only negative, if you can even call it that, was that the room was a bit small to move around in - I guess that should be expected with any boutique hotel. But it really wasn't a problem since we were out sightseeing all day.

The location is fantastic as it's close to the centre but just far enough to be quiet and restful. The breakfast was amazing, so much selection and the staff were so obliging and friendly, they even opened early for us as we had to leave at 7.30am to catch our flight. The roof top bar is wonderful and we enjoyed sitting there with sundowners in the afternoon with the amazing views of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Although small, the room was adequate for one night and the little dressing room was a bonus to be able to open our suitcases. The receptionists were extremely helpful, telling us where to go and advising us of the city highlights. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to beautiful Istanbul!

Nothing! It was fabulous!
