The Guest House

Breakfasts were well cooked with good choice. Bacon, sausage, etc were served on a separate dish made up of different compartments. Eggs were served up only on main plate. Owner and staff were friendly, and efficient. My room was clean and well equipped. Attention to detail was a definite plus. Only a short walk to Abergavenny town centre and super market. No short comings at all and I would have no hesitation to recommend this accommodation. I will certainly stay here on future visits to this friendly and lovely town. Great walking country for my rambling group.

Nothing comes to mind except the bathroom was a bit small. But this could not be changed.

The breakfast was excellent, the room very comfortable with a very generous tray of refreshments.. Loved the old-fashioned homely touches, comfortable sofas, very friendly cat!

I am a member of the Liverpool Signing Choir and was performing at the Arts Festival. I messaged the host before our trip to state the time of arrival, and on the actual day to explain we would be late because of train delays, but didn't receive a reply or acknowledgement which I have never experienced before when booking on Booking.com. As I am deaf and can't use the phone, this was very unsettling - thankfully I was booked in with another member of the choir who was able to phone the owner to say we had arrived as the door was locked.

We were very impressed with everything. We arrived earlier than expected but this wasn’t a problem. The room was excellently and cleverly furnished. The bed was so comfortable that I had the best night’s sleep. There was everything you could want for breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend it. Thank you for a great stay.

The location was central and easy to get to places I wanted to go. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and there was a lot of variety. TV and Wi-Fi were available in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I don't like climbing stairs if it can be avoided.

The Guest House was clean and comfortable, and the owners were friendly and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. The food was excellent and the choice included everything most people could want.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Very Friendly Guest House in excellent location . Staff extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were super. We actually didn't get to spend much time in the House itself as we were at a Festival a few miles away so literally came home to sleep and have that great nourishing breakfast.

Our room was a little cramped for the three adults although comfortable but it was the last room in the area so we were very grateful for get it. The House was extremely clean, neat and tidy and as mentioned all the staff were so welcoming and friendly.

I had a wonderful stay at the guest house while hiking in Brecon Beacons. the house is a 10 minute walk from the high street and located on a quiet street for uninterrupted sleep. the rooms were very clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the owners were very responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here if you visit Abergavenny.

We had an excellent stay while dating over the weekend, although we was conscious of any noises we made, due to being in close proximity of other guest rooms. Appologies to the other guest up if we kept them up during the early hours in the morning. Needless to say we exited while the coast was clear and unfortunately didn't experience the breakfast, although I'm sure it would of been very nice with the fresh eggs.

Good breakfast selection. Excellent pot of tea. About 10 minutes walk from town center which was fine for me. Plentiful orange juice. Helpful and pleasant owners/staff. Good base for Crickhowell Walking Festival esp for walks that start at Llanthony.

Would have preferred fresh tomatoes and mushrooms instead of tinned.

Kevin was a wonderful person and made me feel welcome from the 1st second. Great location... 15 minutes drive into some of the Beacons best treasures and a short walk into Abergavenny itself, with bars, restaurants and coffee shops close by.
