The Riverside Hotel

Plenty of room for a quiet read during inclement weather, it was Wales after all !!! Breakfast was outstanding, except the cook was not able to understan the meaning of SMALL !!! Very friendly staff, nothing seemed too much trouble for them., including the cleaning Ladys.

A larger wardrobe -in room 7 - would be useful, was a bit cramped for two people. I have tried hard to think of what we didnt like but .... no use.

Very friendly check in man. Despite him dealing with a prang in car park and a wedding reception in full flow. Big airy room with plenty of space. Handy due to motorcycle gear that needed space. Shower was cool with no hot water but to be honest OK as it was a really hot day. Room was warm overnight although blind was drawn down as soon as we arrived to stop sun shining in and warming the room. Maybe worthwhile for cleaning crew to pull down blind on sunny days. Breakfast was very filling. Indeed, couldnt eat all the toast. Plenty there though if you're hungry. Parking was no problem.

Couldnt leave windows open overnight to cool room as we were above beer garden and the wedding reception was still in full swing. For autumn / winter customers maybe worth checking there is hot water for showers available on arrival.

Ideal for town shops , pleasant views of the river , breakfast really good , parking spaces no trouble,Ideal for base to travel beyond , the staff are really nice people nothing is any trouble, they changed our room without any questions

Noisy , mattresses need changing they are very uncomfortable, areas slightly grubby, need attention ,the walls are like paper, can hear everything , especially when there's a band on

for the price it’s perfect! thank you for catering for our need for breakfast without fuss or problem - it’s so appreciated and it was so yummy. the staff are so nice. our 2nd stay and we will be back. the rooms are basic but just what we need.

nit picking here - the carpet in our room had some pet hair on the carpet and just looked like it needed a another hoover. the rest of the room felt/looked clean.

The location was perfect - a short walk into the town centre, and an equally short walk to the local parkrun, which was the reason we were here. The room was a good size and comfortable. Our welcome when we arrived was friendly, and there was plenty of parking on site. It fully met our expectations for a handy place to stay for one night.

The bar downstairs was too much of a local bloke's bar for me to feel comfortable in, but that's my problem, not theirs.

Good location just a short stroll into the town - 5 mins. Plenty of easy and free parking in the enclosed car park at the rear of the hotel. Room was basic but perfectly adequate. Great (and large) breakfast served very promptly. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Considering the price everything was as expected. Place was possibly a little on the "tired" side but that's being a bit picky.

Rooms are a bit dated. But but perfectly ok for my needs. Staff were excellent. Helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was very good and very quickly served. Great parking for our motorbikes. Even let us park them under the gazeebo when it rained.

My room was above the bar and one of the front doors. So a tad noisey for a nanny nap in the afternoon. But nothing to complain about.

After reading the reviews on trip advisor we was really apprehensive about our stay but upon arrival we was greeted instantly and was able to check in straight away , the rooms was very well presented very clean , sheets was changed just after one night which was very impressive , staff was very friendly and accommodating, breakfast the next morning was fantastic value for money , such a lovely hotel and would highly recommend to stay here and will be returning in July for my birthday . thank you to all the staff for making our weekend away relaxing 😌

nothing to fault

i had a double room which was much larger than expected with a view to the front, but also with easy access at the rear to the car park. the hotel has a large car park with plenty of spaces. drinks at the bar were much cheaper than my local in Devon, and the breakfast was exceptional, great value for money

nothing. this hotel exceeded my expectations all around
