Relaxed atmosphere, we felt that we could take it easy and go with the flow. We just let the hosts know around what time we would like to eat, and they would leave a set table ready for us. Welcoming hosts, every morning they would check on us and make sure we have everything we need. Very good wi-fi.

There is no ceiling light in the room. There are two bedside lamps, one tall floor lamp and one sconce on the wall. The room was too dark during the evening hours for our personal liking. However, we got used to it. I can see how someone else might prefer an ambient atmosphere, and current lighting would be a plus.

Enjoyed a fabulous stay at The Old Rectory - the hosts were very polite, amiable, helpful and welcoming - the perfect hosts even. The bedroom was large and comfortable, and I loved the view of the garden and countryside backdrop through the wide window. Little touches such as a cosy rug, complimentary toiletries and a different variety of pillows were icing on the cake. Breakfast was taken in lovely surroundings of a diner kitchen - loved the filter coffee and the choice of jams, marmalade, hams, cheeses, cereals and the freshly-baked bread for morning toast. The bathroom facilities were also spot on - really couldn't fault anything whatsoever.

Lovely large, comfortable and welll presented room with a nice view of the garden and hill behind. Paddy and Lisa were exceptionally welcoming and the fresh continental breakfast including meat and cheeses, yoghurt, choice of cereals, orange juice and home made bread was welcome. I would definitely stay again!

I really cannot fault this B and B or the hospitality on offer. Just a practical note though that although the room is on the ground floor, the bathroom which was private was separate and up some stairs - not an issue for me at all but may be for the less able

Very large room, warm welcome, dressing gowns, continental breakfast, views, quiet location. Paddy and Lisa very friendly and accommodating.

Whilst we had a wonderful spread for our continental breakfast with fresh baked bread, we didn't realise that until arrival, it was not a cooked breakfast option. Lovely large kitchen & family room, but didn't realise we'd be having breakfast in the family kitchen rather than the usual b&b set up of a separate guest breakfast area. Would've been nice to open a window for fresh air at night - I didn't want to leave bi-fold doors open all night.

Breakfast was a continental style, with freshly baked bread. (There are times when a bacon butty or Full Welsh is what the body craves, but it's not a big issue.) Room was wonderfully large, and kind size bed was comfy.

Slightly awkward having having the private bathroom as a separate room on another floor - Didn't feel right for a midnight naked trip to the loo (So, I didn't). The down-side of converting a wonderful older building.... I can live with the inconvenience.

Super simple breakfast home made bread , solicitous hosts, friendly , kind, helpful. My only slight reservation was that the bathroom was upstairs. I had booked in a hurry and didn’t notice, but everything else way exceeded my expectations, this is a delightful family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying and would recommend 100%. I thought the area was very interesting (copper mine, history of Amlwch) and there’s an amazing Indian restaurant just down the road. Superb, totally 5 stars!

Only to have bathroom on the same floor.

The location was peaceful we managed to get a good night's sleep every night we were there. I honestly cannot fault anything about The Old Rectory because our experience was better than you could ever expect. We are already looking to book our next visit. Thanks guys 😁

I had a lovely few days here, peace and quiet and beautiful scenery which was just what I needed. When you stay here you feel more like a house guest than staying in a B&B. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The room was big and the bed very comfy, the bathroom (which was upstairs as stated on the website) was clean and the shower was very good! The continental style breakfast (as stated on the website) which is cereal, freshly baked bread, jams, cheese, ham etc was really nice. If you want somewhere quiet to spend a few days whilst you explore Anglesey or just to sit in the garden this is the place to be.

Large room with great views. Good storage. We particularly liked the warmth and welcome of the hosts who were very friendly without being overbearing. Breakfast was excellent and presented a generous choice. Location was good for exploring the area.

The only slight negative was the fact the toilet/shower room was not ensuite. This was known at time of booking so cannot be a source of complaint.

The location was unbelievable. Open to a view worth every penny we spent, looking across houseless fields towards the mountains of Snowdonia. Paddy and Jill were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Paddy even went to the trouble to organise transport into the town, saying he would take us if there was a problem.

Our satnav let us down and I feel if we had clear instructions of how to get to the Old rectory it would have saved us a lot of time. Again the satnav took us on a tour of Anglesey. I would have preferred a cooked breakfast instead of a continental breakfast.
