Loch Lomond Hotel

Very comfortable room with nice bathroom and very clean. Just what we needed after a day on the bike. Staff was extremely helpful. I would definitely come back.

I liked it all and it will be even better now as the cafe/ restaurant will be completed.

This was perfect for our one night stop-over on our way to Skye. Enough beds for us all, spacious and spotless room, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, close to town and the Loch for a lovely evening walk, super friendly and helpful staff, on site parking, we honestly can't fault it! Our 3 teenage boys initially thought it was disappointing not to have a buffet-type breakfast, but it was actually brilliant to choose what we wanted from a menu (which had plenty of choice) and only be charged for what we ordered - no waste on either side and everyone had plenty to eat and drink. The pancakes and porridge got a huge thumbs up from everyone and the coffee was good too.

No negatives!

Loved the family room which allowed 7 of us to all have a bed each and the table allowed us to play some board games and enjoy a few drinks. Really liked having our own front door also and the 2 bathrooms were a godsend. Was very easy to find and got parked no problem in the car park. Our evening meal was lovely, so glad we decided to eat here! Staff at night/check in were lovely, helpful and attentive and made us feel very welcome.

The wheelchair access door was very strange- like we were walking through the kitchen/back of the bar area. A lot of staff belongings left in the corridor while walking the back way to our family room- felt like we were intruding in their space.

Centrally located hotel, parking lot attached, though on weekends it can be a challenge to get a spot. Needs more parking on-site. Generally clean. Front desk staff helpful. Our room had plumbing issues (toilet wouldn't flush anything down and shower didn't drain), but it was fixed quickly and the bathroom clean when we came back. Day manager was very helpful and called us when it was ready. They also honored my request for nontoxic cleaning chemicals.

Doors are thin, so we could hear some noise in the passageway. On the weekend, things quieted down by 11. Breakfast is not included, small menu, items are average but nothing special. However, the coffee shop next door didn't open until 9, so there weren't any other choices near by. Service was friendly but slow. Facility needs a lift - we had to trundle luggage up two flights of stairs - not conducive for seniors.

The staff are wonderful... all of them. The food is really good, with friendly, very professional service. Everything was very well cleaned. Good location. I have to repeat it: really good staff.

What I don't like is personal to me, so don't take this as criticism. We booked a family room (it was either that or a room with disabled access, which we don't need). The only place we could plug in the kettle was on the floor. There are no chairs in a room with beds for 4 people. There are minor problems with maintenance in the bathroom - and I really do mean minor but they look bad to me because they affect the cleaning.

- The room was really spacious. - The shower was great. - Receptionist was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable at check in. - We went for an evening meal, and the staff were so attentive. - The hotel location is spectacular.

- Unfortunately the bathroom floor was soaked after the shower - I dont think the screen held the water back very well. - Breakfast staff not very attentive, we waited to be seated for quite a long time. Staff did see us, but stayed behind the counter. - There was no one available to check out, after ringing the bell at reception 3 times one of the ladies from the restaurant came out and told me I didn't need to get anyone - I just had to leave my key on the front desk. We felt like we had wasted her time walking to the restaurant door, just to tell us that.

We traveled as a group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. We arrived earlier than expected and the front of house staff was very friendly and welcoming and even managed to check us in early . The room was immaculate, clean, modern, spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There is plenty to do around we went out for food , danced and listen to live music all within walking distance of the hotel. The next morning we walked 5mins along the way to the shores and did a cold water dip before heading back to the hotel for a.warm shower and brilliant Scottish breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

Brand new hotel but still not finished... so the room was fresh, comfortable and stylish (could do with bigger bedside shelves/cabinets and a socket next to the kettle) with a super comfy bed and a great bathroom and shower. Parking was right next to the building and fine although when fully booked I suspect there won't be enough spaces....

But the front of the hotel was still a building site. The restaurant is still 2 weeks from completion (we were told) so no breakfast or evening meals. No pictures up in the room... they were all on the floor in the corridor and we were checked in by a friendly guy, who judging by his dirty hands was also a builder! Also the photo on booking.com appeared to be of a completely different hotel!

great hotel to stay at. we had previously booked the hotel across the road without reading reviews. on reading their reviews we panicked with having a 5 month old baby. we booked the family room that sleeps 7 at the Loch Lomond hotel, 2 double beds & 3 singles. couldn’t have been anymore ideal! absolutely spotless. shower wasn’t great pressure but other than that we have no complaints at all!

Very clean and beautiful little hotel with great staff and delicious breakfast. The parking was easy, on-site, and free. The location is within walking distance of restaurants. The bed was very comfortable.

It was extremely hot in the room with no way to cool it down even with the windows open. Also, our room looked down at the receiving area for the restaurant and there was a lot of noise with deliveries and trash pickups. No elevator so you have to pull your bags upstairs.
