Lochway Hotel

The inn is run by a very friendly family and being dog-friendly its ideal for us and our two spaniels when travelling between the Isle of Skye and Yorkshire. Our room in the Farmhouse was convenient, warm and cosy.

Having stayed twice before and had amazing cooked breakfasts, we were disappointed to find the breakfast menu had changed. The choices were more limited and the food itself was not as good as on our previous visits.

The room had everything we needed, very comfy king size bed, great shower and very clean. It looks a bit tired and is up for sale, but really happy with it as it was a last-minute booking. Breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly, so we were very pleased with it.

It's on a busy dual carriageway so it's easy to miss the turning in for the car park, but plenty of room for parking.

Just been taken over by a lovely family who are busy renovating the rooms etc They could not be more hospitable and the breakfast was amazing Brilliant value for money

Friendly welcome. Comfortable beds. We stayed upstairs in the farmhouse and it has been well planned to fit in with the original old house. Good to have the bar next door for evening drinks and ppl can eat takeaways there if they wish.

We would have liked a better choice of breakfast e g there was no muesli or granola and no bread rolls or croissants. There was a choice of cooked breakfast for those who wanted it.

The staff member who checked me in was really friendly and helpful, even sorted us out with a taxi and quick lager while we waited and just made me feel welcome. Breakfast was a good home cooked style Scottish breakfast, albeit a little early (finishes at 9am) for a Sunday morning.

The mattress was a little uncomfortable and would’ve been fab to have plugs at the bedside for charger.

Near main road but good double glazing. New owners still carrying out update to premises so some parts tired, but clean

Booked a 3 night stay at the Milton inn on a weeks trip to Scotland. The room was clean and well equipped. The lady who cleaned our room was very friendly and brought everything we needed and the gentleman serving breakfast was very efficient and polite he even provided a couple of sausages daily for our little dog. Excellent choice of breakfast accommodating for everybody’s appetite. The hotel is positioned on a very busy road but we had excellent access out the back and spacious car park. Would recommend to anyone looking for a dog friendly stopover.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. See my comment below about the lack of evening meal. What began as a negative was very easily turned into a positive.

It was a bit disappointing that evening meals aren't available. That said, they were happy for us to order a take-away (which was very good) that we could eat either in the bar or in our room and they provided cutlery etc. Consequently they were able to turn what was a negative in my view into a clear positive.

The staff that we came across were all very nice, polite and helpful. This goes a long way to enjoy the stay.

I think the price was a little high, but luckily I shared a room so halfed the price between us. Bits of rust on top of shower towel holder but rooms are good apart from that. No evening meals, but we were pointed to a local Indian restaurant. The staff that we came across were fantastic, so helpful and polite. Breakfast in the morning also nice. If I was to stay alone and pay seventy odd pounds for 1 night, then I would of been a little more disappointed. Can't fault the staff though so keep up the good work.
