The Redwell Inn0

The staff we spoke to were friendly and welcoming, being the young lady (possible owner) who checked us in and Stephanie who needs a pay rise as she's a wonderful house front staff member making everyone at ease and nothing is to much bother for her. The room was clean and comfortable, entry if storage space, brew facilities and a hair dryer. Even the traffic didn't overly bother us, room number 6 is on a busy road but wasn't a problem , we slept fine. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice and lots of it. Free parking is always a bonus. Would definitely recommend and stay here again

Not a complaint , more of a suggestion, would be nice to have had a container with body wash/soap in the bathroom shower area . Also most TVs nowadays have channels readily available but the one here you have to log in with emails etc, to much faffing so did not access the TV

Staff were very friendly and we got some free wine in our room seeing it was our anniversary - never had that anywhere else before. The cooked breakfast was the best I've had for a long,long time and it was served between seven and eleven so you could have a nice lie in. We had a lovely view from our bedroom window, a tv with plenty of channels and netflix,etc and the plug worked for real in the bathroom sink. The Rump Steak in the evening was also lovely and juicy. The staff also took their time to explain how to use the two remotes for the tv instead of just disappearing and leaving you to it.

Just on thing we had no chain on the plug in our bath so it was okay until you wanted to empty it but we managed to lever it out.

Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast portions great. Room was very clean, as was the bedding.

Bed was definitely smaller than a double. Shower was not greatly accessible for people over 5 foot tall due to sloping roof in bathroom. Breakfast, mushrooms were overcooked and inedible, and beans cold (could've asked for the beans to be heated, but everything should be hot at time of serving especially when you have to wait for it).

Location excellent for our plans for the weekend. Breakfast very good and plentiful. Staff inviting and friendly.

Room 4 has a very small double bed, although there is enough room for a larger bed if the additional chair is removed from the corner. It is on a couple of levels in order to access en-suite so if you have walking difficulties, it could be a bit of an inconvenience. Needs a good clean behind bed and bathroom skirting, but all other areas very clean. Referred to as ‘Guys’ at breakfast, and could be a little irritating to ladies, who are not ‘Guys’

Good location, some 15 minutes walk from town centre with excellent parking facilities . The hotel room was of a good size with plenty of storage space. Bed was very comfortable. The food was very good at both breakfast and evening mealtimes. Good portions and very well cooked and presented. The staff (Tiegen and Steph in particular) were excellent and were both friendly and helpful throughout. A thoroughly enjoyable stay thank you!

Very little to criticise here other than a lack of real ales in the bar! However, plenty of lagers and Guinness on tap so no real problem! Very pleasant and comfortable bar area and once again lovely staff.

Breakfast eggs and bacon were superbly cited and presented. Everything was super clean. Although on the small side, the bed was very comfortable.

Bathroom arrangement could be better. Not able to stand in the shower and no screen or curtain meant crouching and a wet floor. Fittings such as missing door lock, broken clothing hook and toilet roll holder were a little disappointing. Bed was small but it isn't a big room.

The rooms were basic, generally clean but a little tired. The breakfasts were fantastic. We normally manage a full English and fill up on toast but to be honest we had to have the mini English on the second morning as there was too much on the full!

This is a functioning pub so there is some noise from the bar till closing time, but this didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the stay

The property was clean warm and comfortable. Food was excellent and very quick from ordering to receiving food. I cannot commend the staff of the Redwell Inn enough, they were very pleasant, helpfull and couldn’t do enough for me…. I will definitely use the Redwell Inn again.

It was a lovely quaint property, very clean and tidy outside and in.

Booked the hotel as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Runa Farm. The hotel was a good location, only a 5 minute taxi ride from Runa Farm. The food in the pub was lovely and the breakfast was nice too

Room quite basic but as we weren’t spending much time in the room this was okay. Some parts of the hotel need redecorated and some gloss was coming off the banister

Loved the deluxe room with balcony. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and comfortable. Good, basic food. Clear instructions about fire drill, television and wifi. 11am leaving time! Much more relaxing than having to be gone by 10pm, although we did leave at 10am!

Shower drain blocked with hairy gunk, which I discovered when my shower water nearly flooded the floor. I cleared it up. Otherwise everything was spotlessly clean so obviously just an oversight. Liquid soap only provided.
