Castle house was lovely with little special touches like a welcome drink. A personal one to one welcome etc. The breakfast was of very high standards, cooked fresh and presented lovely. The house was very quirky with uneven floors, in keeping with the age of the property. It was nice to see the property being loved for its age. Some nice antique furniture. I would rebook if returning to the area 😍

To be picky I would have to say. More care is needed in the bathroom. The shower head needs to be removed and soaked as it was very calcified and around the shower cubicle door on the outside needed a clean. Overall though the bathroom was well equipped with lovely toiletries and clean in every other aspect

Great location next to Richmond's castle. It was a nice treat to be greeted with wine/beer upon our arrival. Amazing breakfast. Enjoyed the bathtub. The bed was firm and comfortable. The room was quiet.

We hadn't realized when we booked our room that check in was between 4-6pm. Although we made it there early hoping to drop off our bags we couldn't gain access until the innkeeper arrived around 4:15pm. By then there were two other rooms hoping to check in as well. The bathroom is carpeted, which seemed unclean to me. Otherwise the room was spotless.

Amazing location , right next to the market square and a few minutes walk to the castle , lots of shops and places to eat just outside your door ! Breakfast was a delicious cooked one but there was yoghurt , berries and cereal as well. Able to park out the front .

The bed was hard and uncomfortable, you could hear the springs grinding every time you moved . The tv reception in the evening was fairly bad , almost unwatchable at times . The tv is not in a good position, room is dominated by a huge timber wardrobe that really doesn’t need to be there, I’d put the tv there instead.

Very quaint property with loads of character. great location right in the middle of the town with the castle literally out the back. Breakfast was lovely, quality food and lovely staff.

Theres not much to not like really. If I was being picky, I'd say they could put some usb electrical sockets around the room to accommodate guests with smart devices etc. The parking in Richmond is based on discs and 2 hour maximum parking so you've got to factor that in. Thankfully the hotel gave us a disc so we just had to juggle the car around a few times, but after 1800 hours the restrictions don't apply.

On arrival we were greeted by a lady called Karen who was extremely welcoming and helpful. Our room The Redmire was clean with good facilities. We slept very well in the very comfortable bed. Breakfast was pre order and again we were welcomed by Karen in the morning. Again although being very busy gave great customer service and the breakfast was really very good. The location was ideal and I would definitely stay again if I was visiting Richmond.

No parking at the property but a disc was provided for parking on the market square and timed a certain way would ensure you stayed for free.

The house was warm and cosy and looked very festive. We were warmly welcomed and personally shown to our rooms. The food quality was excellent. The bacon was delicious and the poached eggs perfectly cooked. The service was efficient. Nothing was too much trouble.

The breakfast room and the table were too small. The table was not big enough to accommodate all the elements of the breakfast and required frequent rearranging as the elements arrived. The size of the butter portions was insufficient to spread on the toast provided in the rack so required an extra journey to provide more.

Nice friendly welcome when we got there, everything explained really well, lovely glass of wine. Room was nicely decorated and tea/coffee provision was really good. All the little extras in the room made it feel great. Breakfast was very good, really enjoyed it. Would definitely stay again.

Room needs it's proper window replacing, you've done well with the temporary solution but it's unsightly, appreciate fully that it's a costly job to do. Bathroom needs some minor work, light bulb out in the mirror, tidy up behind the sink, underneath where the pipes come through the wall. No one to give the key to when we left, we weren't sure where to leave it. Parking right outside is a problem but we could see it is totally beyond your control.

Greeted with the offer of a drink on arrival which is a nice touch. We were ready for a cup of tea although wine and beer were also on offer. Breakfast was very good with lovely fresh fruit on offer as well as cereal and cooked breakfast.

Our ensuite had a free standing roll top bath with a shower attachment - no shower curtain so you needed to sit in the bath to use it which was difficult for me. Something I need to check on when I'm booking in the future.

Excellent location, lovely quirky hotel full of character, including lots of wonky floors and walls! I loved the fresh crisp bedlinen, the fluffywhite towels and L'Occitane toiletries. Staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating and the full English breakfast is probably the best I've had. The welcome drink on arrival was a very nice touch.

Nothing I didn't really like, the room felt a little cramped but a minor detail and wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

Fantastic location in the heart of Richmond. Super friendly team of staff. Delicious breakfast made with quality ingredients.

The most awkward thing is the parking in Richmond (and certainly not something to be put off by). It is such a nice place that it can be busy. Free parking is disc controlled so only 2 hours at a time. Just requires a bit of planning ahead really. Nigel was very helpful and gave us a leaflet and some advice.
