The Buck is a lovely local pub nice friendly staff and helpful. Breakfast was good our dogs made welcome. Beer garden was a plus as when we stayed exceptionally hot weather and needed outside space. Its situated in a pleasant street just off main street but found parking to be a nightmare not the Bucks fault as it's run by local council you do get a permit from the pub but between 8.00 and 18.00 it's for 2hours only is a car park about 10minutes walk away seems max. time 10hours but apart from that enjoyed our stay . Very reasonable price for b&b room clean were on top floor so few stairs to climb!

Staff were very friendly and informative. It was so nice to visit a hotel that actually has a real key. The hotel is lovely and quirky. Due to it's age the floors are slightly wonky the stairs the same. This all added to the charm of staying in an obviously, very old building. The Location is really central, which is hard for anywhere not to be to be honest. You could walk from one end of the town to the other in less than half an hour. The Market Square, where there is a plethora of eateries and pubs, is about 5 minute stroll away. Fab breakfasts, beer garden etc. just made our stay even more enjoyable.

Paul and Fiona are amazing hosts, very accommodating, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, a short stroll to many restaurants, bakery, town halls, and supermarkets. The breakfast was great. They even had oat milk, which I was extremely grateful for. A pint of their local beer in their beer garden is a must do! This is a wonderful little place run by a wonderful family. As a party of 4, this is our favourite on our Coast to Coast journey to date. Next time, we'll stay a few more nights. Thanks, Fiona and Paul. You guys are truly in the right business. Thanks for being so lovely.

Lovely clean large room excellent check in. We have dogs and when it says dog friendly it means exactly that. The welcome we received was fantastic to say the least. The breakfasts were very good and a great start to the day. The bar food was excellent and of a good size and good value for money. They boast a beer garden and it is no boast it has some beautiful views. Last of all, everyone of the Staff went above and beyond making my, wife and our two dogs feel like we were part of a big family. Great place to stay exceptionally friendly including all of the locals, highly recommend this little Inn for a great stay, we shall be returning to beautiful Richmond.

Location was perfect, only a few minutes walk from the market square on an attractive tree lined road. The only downside is there is no car park and the area around is disc parking (max 2 hours Monday to Saturday) We arrived on a Sunday so were able to park outside and we were given a disc which took us to 10 a.m. on Monday morning when we had to move the car. The rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of tea bags, coffee and biscuits and the cooked vegetarian breakfast was good.

Great over night stay spacious clean warm room Welcoming helpful staff. The front window had a been decorated with a gorgeous Christmas sled display it looked very cosy and traditional We will have to visit in summer to try out the lovely beer garden Wishing we had booked for longer

Although there was biscuits and plenty of tea coffee and sugar, there was only enough milk for one drink and I could have done with some extra milk jiggers or creamer in the room for another drink of tea in the morning but I’m not complaining considering the low price a stay at The Buck is excellent value for money and some places don’t even provide drinks in their rooms

Great breakfast. Delicious meat pie for evening meal, homemade, plus homemade sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Very good atmosphere in pub, and friendly people. It was chess club night, also people playing snooker, a small tv extension for the football fans, and room for us to play rumikub.

We had to use the public car park to park overnight......cheap to use, but could have been a security problem as our car was laden as we were driving tonScotland for a self catering holiday

The Buck Inn was our stop over on a short cycling trip. It was a very pleasant experience to recover in the sunshine and enjoy a pint of Black Sheep in the well tended beer garden. At check in our bikes were securely stored and our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. This is an old (historic) building and some of the decor was a bit tired but there had been some painting recently and for the budget it was absolutely fine and care had been taken with the presentation of the room. The location in the center of town was perfect. Our early cooked breakfast was very good and set us up nicely for our cycle back home.

No complaints at all for the price.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, great location a couple of minutes walk into town centre. Good beer in the bar. Biscuits in the room with the tea and coffee 😁

The room was a little bit "tired" and dated. There's a parking disc system in Richmond so you can only park outside the pub 2 hours during the day, not a problem if you take the car out all day but you need to move it to find somewhere free to park or pay for a car park somewhere.
