Our first great impression was being welcomed by ‘Liv’. She was so very lovely. We’d had a 5 hr drive to Birmingham to see our son and were tired. Liv couldn’t have made our welcome better. Then… the room. The room was brilliant, the decor was fitting with a listed building and some very lovely cosy and decorative extras and then some. I had read the reviews previously and also the townhouse recommendations of ‘it’s not sound proof because of the age of the property and having a bar next door’ which are correct, if you are wanting to be asleep by 9pm on a Friday night. It was perfect for us. Thank you and we will be back soon.

20 minutes walk from new street station and easy to find. quick easy check in, based on another review asked if I could have breakfast sent up to my room which they did and was greatly appreciated rather than coming down and going int the bar next door. Everything was clean, liked the decor and little finishing touches- better than staying in a hotel chain.

The bed - although the mattress was really thick it was very soft and you sank into it, and it was a single bed. May just be my preference as I sleep on an orthopaedic mattress. The single room was very small but it was a single room so do be expected.

Great location and lovely staff. I travelled alone and found the hotel perfect for independent solo travellers, staff greeted me for check in, explained how the keys worked, then left me to my own devices, which I prefer. I still knew how and where to contact them if I needed. Complimentary breakfast provided midweek, it consisted of yogurt/OJ/instant Porridge/fruit you could help yourself to provided from a fridge in reception. I like the trust the staff have in guests. Room was immaculate and beautiful, bed was comfortable, lovely high ceilings and lots of lighting options- 2 bedside lamps, 1 overhead and 1 desk lamp. A big TV and 2 fans provided too. Bathroom was clean and had a rainfall shower- big plus! Check out time was 11pm- not too early which I always appreciate.

I stayed in room 9. The toilet seat was loose and shifted when used, plus did not remain open. Upon checkout I didn't encounter a staff member to pass this information on, in case it wasn't flagged yet. Absolutely did not take away from my stay at all though.

Good location, in the centre of the Jewellery Quarter. I booked this property for a visiting relative (I live nearby) so it was ideal. The Button Factory bar/restaurant is next door and has a nice roof terrace. The room was large with high ceilings. The en suite bathroom had a nice rain shower. There are plenty of bars, cafes and a convenience store nearby. Jewellery Quarter also has a train station on Vyse Street which is a 5 minute walk down the road. The city centre is a 15 minute walk and a pleasant walk via St Pauls Square.

Everything seemed ok. Not sure if there is a lift to the 1st and 2nd floors. I’d check with the property beforehand if stairs present a difficulty.

The quality of the room facilities was great, different coffee, tea biscuits, toiletries to other hotels. Very clean and refurbed to a high standard. It was different to other chain hotels which added charm. Was not there at the weekend so not sure how this would change the dynamics of the are.

Wasn't sure at first about the lack of reception cover but when realised there were a limited number of rooms it was fine. Couldn't open the window to get fresh air. Maybe hot in the summer

The location was ideal for our trip to the Jewellery quarter lively bustling city break close to Center of Birmingham Frederick street in particular is an interesting part of the quarter lots to discover . The room was beautifully appointed as was the bathroom modern stylish with a wonderful outlook onto the street and the button factory just next door served amazing food and drinks to sum up perfect for our trip and we would definitely return to this super friendly boutique hotel

what was not to love although if you prefer very quiet it’s not for you as there is a bar next door so the front bedrooms do have some minimal noise seepage during the day and evening

Beautiful big room (stayed in number 15). Lovely decor. Comfy bed. Great shower. Good location.

Were told breakfast was 8am - 10am on Sunday morning. We had to leave at 08:45am, so went down at 08:05, and it wasn't ready. The coffee machine wasn't even on yet 😅 not ideal... But the barman was apologetic. Didn't really like the cleaners cleaning around us either. Veryyyy basic, but enough for a (luckily quick) light breakfast. The tops of things (bed frame, mirror etc) need a bit more attention when cleaning.

Lovely large room, decorated well, with great facilities (including a fridge, radio/alarm, bath and shower, full length mirror and a desk). Heating was on full blast which was nice. Fantastic location for the Utilita arena, it was only about a 10 minute walk. Really friendly staff. Great vibes in the Button Factory bar/restaurant next door. Great stay and fantastic value for money, especially for a Saturday night.

You can hear music until the bar next door closes, it wasn’t too bad from our room in our opinion (room 10) but if you want a silent stay maybe request a room furthest away from the bar.

the cool and quirky but homely style and the size of room 16 at the top of the house were great. Fresh milk provided and complimentary continental breakfast was a nice surprise. Also 20% off the meal next door at the Button Factory. Staff were chatty and helpful. As it was very wet outside we weren't disturbed by the terrace outside. Good area for exploring Birmingham. 20 mins from station. Lots to see around the Jewellery quarter.

Room for a second comfy chair or a small bistro table and 2 chairs for breakfast.

Warm informative welcome from Lauren at reception. Didn’t eat at property. Location was ideal for onward travel via tram and train. Definitely would book again.

My only 2 points were that there wasn’t a lift and many stairs to climb to the top floor. My daughter has Rhumatoid Arthritis and had I known more about the stairs , I’d have asked for. Lower level room. No issues regarding noise at all. My other point is that there were no coasters to put coffee cups on and I felt I had stained the wooden surface, however it dried without staining the unit top 🙏.
