Everything about our stay at The Cholmendley Arms was superb. The room, spotless and comfortable, the owners and staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional and the whole garden area was delightful.

What a beautiful pub and rooms. Food was also beautiful! Super comfy beds and lovely big clean room with bath and beautiful toiletries. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. I really would recommend staying here i will certainly be back its a stunning place. Such thoughtful details in the room! Fresh milk, candles, water and a range of teas and coffees. The breakfast wow! The best i have ever had staying away and i work away a lot! Thank you for such a beautiful stay for work !

What a little gem . There is nothing not to like about the Cholmeley Arms , great location for visits to Belton House etc . Room was large with great facilities and the food was to die for , make sure you book for the evening meal. As for the breakfasts , amazing , I have never seen such a fantastic Full English , I can also recommend the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon . A very enjoyable stay and we will certainly be back .

Taken to our room after checkin. Shown to a spacious bedroom with homely touches and fresh decor. Tea tray had a wide variety of hot and cold drinks, and the fresh milk in fridge was a nice touch. The bathroom was large with a separate walk in shower. A floor standing fan was a bouns in the hot weather. There was a table and chairs outside the room which overlooked a garden area. Breakfast was plentiful with a choice of hot and cold foods.

Spacious room, big comfortable bed, good sized bathroom, awesome shower, lovely setting friendly and helpful staff, plenty of choice of breakfast from fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and of course a full English with quality ingredients (you will need a good appetite to finish it) I would 100% recommend staying here and I would definitely stay again in the future.

TV a little small and too high up on the wall, no signal on the radio,, that's it really, hardly worth mentioning.

The rooms are great, clean and modern with an exceptionally comfy bed and the surroundings are beautiful. I had an evening meal which was delicious. Plenty of selection for all on the menu. I had panned on having a dessert but the portion size was ample and it tasted too good to leave so, dessert had to sadly, be abandoned. I travelled for work and noted in the information guide in the room that packed lunches can be provided, which was great for me as this was one less thing to think about. They were very happy to accommodate this request and I was asked what I wanted. The price was also really reasonable for this. Breakfast couldn't have been better. Plenty of choice, tasted wonderful and once again, I unfortunately couldn't finish it all. Hoping to return soon but next time for leisure.

Everything! The beautiful room had all we needed: large, comfortable bed, lots of towels,posh smellies (sorry but we took them all as we give them to the local food bank) hospitality tray and a fridge with fresh milk and water. So much better than pretend milk! Dinner and breakfast were lovely, with a great choice and Monster portions for both meals - haven’t eaten since! - plus first class service. The staff, without exception, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to return.

Nothing not to like

Room was big and airy. Large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Lovely big bed. Was good to be able to sit out under cover and watch the wildlife Food was delicious with a good choice, large portions. Breakfast is a must.. Very welcoming staff. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Thick quilt on the bed, no separate sheet, so it was too warm. A fan was supplied but too noisy to have on while sleeping.

This was our second stay at the Cholmeley Arms, and it was every bit as good as the first. The rooms are really well appointed, very comfortable and quiet. We really enjoyed our excellent meals - dinner and breakfast - in the pub/restaurant. We didn't take advantage of it but, as an example, the offer of cold meals for late arrivals sums up the care and attention that is given to guests. The Berrys are welcoming hosts and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying again.

THe food was excellent but the restaurant lacked a little atmosphere. The pub and surrounding areas were well presented and the staff pleasant. Good range of drinks in the rooms.

People smoking in the area outside the rooms was annoying especially late ate night when the windows were open. Would be good to be able to lock the window in an open position so it is secure overnight
