The welcome we received on arrival was really friendly but efficient, and our stay progressed from there. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The restaurant presented individually cooked meals, which were most enjoyable and great value. We asked for an early takeaway breakfast one morning and received home cooked pastries, fruit, and yoghurt - more than enough and very tasty. Special pizza nights, and pie and pint nights in the restaurant are a feature. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Leo and his wife are lovely people and deserve success in this new venture.

There was nothing at all.

This incredible place is under new management, and we stayed for our son's wedding nearby. We were looking for a dog friendly place, and I had sent various communications to new owner Leo-and nothing was too much trouble, from providing free upgrade, accomodating dog-even arranging food for one of our party who was dog sitting. Leo and Deana could not have been more incredible hosts. The food in the pub and a breakfast was stunning. Room lovely, bed super comfy and clean. Leo -you are a star, and if we ever in the area this will be our go to. A jewel in the crown of Rippingale.

Not staying longer!

Visiting the area for family wedding. New owners 3 months ago and could not do enough for us, Leo (Spanish chap and co-owner) very helpful, booked us a local cab before we arrived (to/from wedding) as they are difficult to get as quite remote, who turned up on time both ways, Leo kindly gave us a couple of chocolate bars (from his quiz prize stash) during our stay, at no charge - he even went shopping to get us the last one, as there was no village shop. Clean, tidy, great shower and Wi-Fi that works. Drinks and food in the Bull were low cost, not 'ripping off' guests or locals alike. Locals friendly too with a couple who follow our football team (good fun chatting when miles from home). Lovely Church bells (over the road) ringing out the hour is a joy when you are dozily waking up on a warm, sunny day. Will stay again when visiting relatives.

No local shop so take snack supplies to make your stay perfect.

The owner was so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, very pleasant. And just off the A15, it was hardly out the way off the main road but far enough to not hear traffic. Home cooked breakfast was brilliant. Highly recommended

Nothing, the current owners haven't had it long and are refurbishing, if I was going to be really picky about a little thing it was the curtains could do with being thicker so he morning sun doesn't wake you too early but he already said he was getting all those little things done, so the next person will probably not be affected by it. Was delightful, no complaints.

Contrary to some of the comments we read, the owners are doing their upmost to make sure the customers have a pleasant stay. They are turning the what was once arun down neglected pub into a lovely friendly, welcoming place to enjoy yourself. There is a nice grassed garden area to sit and enjoy your drinks/ food with a children's play area. The room was pleasant and spacious, the shower was hot and the towels nice quality. The breakfast in the morning was ample and well cooked. The best part of the stay was to engage with the owners, who were so very friendly and helpful. We wish them all the very best for the future, and will come back one day to stay.

Many things, the fact that it is not actally in Bourne but juat outside in a small & quiet village is a bonus, nice country pub located on a quiet road directly opposite a church which is your view from the window whilst enjoying an excellent breakfast in the dining area. There is a large area of gravelled safe parking behind the pub which enables you to park directly in front of the accomodation which is located along the edge of the parking area, This is in a long low brick built building separated into individual extremely well appointed units, word is that way back in history they housed pigs, but true or not there is no sign of them now !!!. The one we stayed in could not have been improved, very large double bed with everything you need for a pleasant stay, an excellent bathroom with bath and shower, very friendly staff and you will be well looked after by 'mine host' Colin and Bruce, a very friendly buuldog, who will always be around to ensure you are settling in ok, There is also a large garden with a play area for children.

Only that I couldn't stay any longer. apart from that absolutely nothing

This was a great couple of days for us. We used to live in the area so knew a bit about it. The pub has new management as of 3weeks ago, and they have already made substantial improvements on the place. The pub is well used by the locals which is always a good sign. Previous reviews probably reflect the situation of a month or so ago, certainly now the accomodation is clean and the staff really friendly. I would certainly go back.

I don't think there was anything.

Friendly staff, rooms were at the back of the pub in a separate block, so we could come and go as we pleased. Easy to park outside the rooms. No stairs. There was a wide range of food available at the pub but I did not eat there. Little area with board games in the pub and a pool table. Room no 5 is very big and has an appeal with its wooden beams. Good full english breakfast. The single room was good for one night but the double room would be better if staying for more nights. Good value for money and lots of toiletries in the rooms and tea and coffee. Rural location.

the shower was not working properly in single room. It was stuck on a very hot setting. I found out on morning I was leaving and reported it but can’t say how it was dealt with.

Huge, well carpeted and nicely decorated bedroom with good traditional furniture. Ensuite bathroom (up 2 steps) has a good shower over a large bath. Bedrooms are in a ground floor block at the rear of the pub with parking immediately next to our door. Very quiet village location. Breakfast was fine. Pub does food in the evening.

Only a couple of small things. Care is needed in the bathroom - water was very hot. Some coasters to protect the polished surfaces would be sensible.

I loved everything about The Bull!! The landlord, his wife, the venue, the accommodation….all were fabulous. The friendly locals. I wished I lived in this village it’s so friendly and safe. Tasty homemade and locally sourced food. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them and made my stay with a dog stress free. Lots of lovely walks from the pub. Highly recommend a stay here it’s a wonderful experience. Hope to return in the future.
