Hyatt Centric Cambridge

No breakfast, parking too expensive, No plug for the hairdrier in the bathroom. If you plug in at the mirror, the plug socket is on the floor, the wire of the hairdrier ist only 50cm long, so If you want to blow dry your hair, you have to sit on the floor. This ist completly stupid, who planed this?

Loved the location, style of the room and the whole vibe of the property. The rooms were really big and didn’t feel over crowded with things. I would definitely stay again if I needed to be near Cambridge again but only if the price was a little cheaper. Remember to prebook your parking space

Only issue is at around 9:30am we heard some very faint knocking. We were asleep so we weren’t sure what this was and where it was coming from. Then a man just enters the room and asks us if we are checking out today… check out is 11am so we had plenty of time to check out. Thought this was totally unacceptable! I have emailed to complain but no reply so far.

It was a comfortable hotel and we were pleased that it was pet friendly. Price-standard ration not so impressive as breakfast was not included and after paying £18 per head we ended up with absolutely awful grub of powder mix of eggs, greasy sausages and poor quality coffee. It was most disappoiting, indeed.

Breakfast was not included in the already substantial price and after we had to pay £18 extra per head we were presented with the most awful quality of food. We requested a refund as we did not finish the food, but were refused.

This is a stylish hotel with very cool decor and lovely large rooms. There's a nice roof terrace. The journey into Cambridge town is just 15 mins with the U-bus that goes from a stop virtually just outside the hotel. The hotel is in a very modern and sustainable new quarter of Cambridge. Very much enjoyed my stay and I will be back.

The hotel doesn't seem to have its own restaurant for breakfast, there seems to be an independent coffee company in reception. It is quite a new hotel so I guess that they are working on having their own restaurant.

Stylish, modern hotel with spacious comfortable rooms and en suite shower room. Room looked like the one advertised /booked and was fresh, clean had everything we needed (other than a toothbrush! :)) Great coffee and brunch at Brew (in the hotel reception area) Sainsbury’s supermarket nearby was a bonus Quiet area Excellent service from front desk wrt to help with nearby parking in light of recently broken ankle.

Parking costs and needs to be booked in advance. We were very happy with our stay but we stayed overnight to visit local friends outside city centre. Those who want to visit central Cambridge might find the area too quiet/ almost sterile; and it is 10 mins drive or 35-40minutes walk from the central Cambridge.

Really lovely modern hotel. About 7 min taxi drive from centre of Cambridge which costs £13 to get to Kings College. Room was huge, never known a hotel room like it. Massive hallway, large shower and bed like a cloud. Staff nice and there’s a cute coffee shop in the lobby for morning coffees to take to your room. There is also a cocktail bar called Dutch which we went to and does happy hour 4-5pm (2 cocktails for £12)

Although we prior booked parking, it is a downstairs underground car park and had a nightmare trying to get the car down there as there was literally no spaces. Managed to sling it in a disabled space but it seems people are just parking down there without booking it.

Feels like a bit of luxury but without hurting the pocket. Center of a real community feel. Our dog was made as welcome as we were. No enquiry was one too many. Really loved being so close to the protected natural area. Everyone was friendly!

It's a little out of town, walkable if you are up to walking, Hyatt would benefit from making suggestions of things to do and how so you didn't feel like you were bothering reception for info. While we had access to a car, perhaps bus info would help others? A toilet brush in the bathrooms might offer guests a little dignity....

The hotel is still very new and hence in a very good state (2023). The rooms were comfortable and well proportioned, very appreciated that there is some room in the fridge for some own stuff. Staff is very kind and helpful. Especially with a car, the location is very good Also in close proximity to supermarket and coffee places

Hotel parking is very expensive, but there are cheaper parking spots on the street (check the signs though). But beware (note, this was booking.com's fault, not the hotel's) - I accepted a "free upgrade" on the room which then appeared as a second room booking for 800 €! It took me 3 days to find out how to get that cancelled. Booking.com very unhelpful, Hyatt hotel very helpful and cancelled without charge. Will not be tricked into clicking that option again!

Every member of staff were super helpful and friendly when we had a small issue with the air con and managed to sort it for us. Check in and check out was very simple. The hotel is located in a very quiet area with little to no traffic due to its location so was never awoken by cars or passing vehicles. The bed was extremely comfy, the tv was very easy to set up Chromecast, varied walking routes into Cambridge City Centre and within touching distance of a supermarket for any bits you may need which was brilliant due to the fridge discreetly located as we are coffee drinkers and milk was needed. The bathroom/shower was lovely and spacious and towels were replenished every day should you wish. Everything was exactly what we needed for a brilliant price. We will definitely back here next time we visit family and will certainly use other Hyatt locations in the future

Only personal preference, the pillows were slightly soft for me but aside from that, absolutely nothing
