StayBridge Suites Cardiff

I booked a King Suite for a solo trip and it was immaculately clean, comfortable and so quiet. The location is very convenient; a short walk to the city centre and the rest of the bay including Mermaid Quay in the other direction. The staff are lovely, attentive and caring. The gym is just right for a simple work out and the laundry facilities are great too. I didn’t drive so can’t comment on parking. The bar at the neighbouring Holiday Inn can be accessed through the Staybridge so very convenient. Breakfast was adequate for a coeliac with lactose intolerance, but one or two more cooked GF options would be wonderful too. Overall, my stay was peaceful and relaxing and I can’t wait to return.

The only downside was the view from my room- it overlooked the car park.

Breakfast was great. Quite informal but everything you would need for a good buffet breakfast - hot and cold. Also liked that you could help yourself to drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc) from the drinks machine whenever you wanted. The room was also very nice and comfortable. Didn't need to use the kitchenette that the suites have but would be useful for a longer stay. Location was nice and convenient for the Millennium Centre, city centre etc.

Parking was a bit expensive (£10 overnight) but at least there was parking and I have stayed in hotels where it is even more expensive.

Everything. The hotel was brand new, there were hangers for the towels and clothes, the room is well lit, the staff provided a second luggage rack, which was so nice. The bathroom was brand new, with a glorius walk in shower, plenty of water, very comfy bed, we had a lovely night and waking up. Breakfast was fine.

The lift was out of order when we arrived, but it was fixed right away. The only thing: it was saturday night and we could barely park the car, as it was almost completely full, we’ve got the last parking spot. The parking is limited in parking spaces.

The overall location was rather nice and aesthetically pleasing; looking out the window that overlooked the waterside was an additional bonus. The rooms are really homey and feels quite nice to be there, the bathroom clean, modern; in fact... everything about the hotel felt modern. The breakfast was desirable and really enjoyable. Selection was a little lacking comparatively to what I've stayed at before but this wasn't an issue. The breakfast was well cooked and tasted amazing, the hot drinks was to die for as well. The location is quite nice for night time walks and has a few stores near by and a variety of shops to boot too. My favourite part of the hotel was how homey it felt and how modern everything looked and given the price I'd say this was very well worth the stay; I'd more than likely stay here again in the future so I'd absolutely recommend this place.

I honestly can't think of too much I didn't like, if I was to be picky for the sake of being picky... then I'd say the room that overlooked the water wasn't quite what I was expecting or wanting to some degree, I was hoping/expecting a balcony so that I'd be able to sit out there with a nice cuppa in the morning or in the evening but truly didn't impact my stay at all; and was still very much enjoyable. From what I could tell it's not possible to open the window? so you're a little restricted to how low the temperature can go in there (19 degrees).

The location was great , 7 mins walk to the Cardiff Bay Millennium Theatre where we were watching s show , and Stay suites hotel apartments have a lovely position right by the waterside. The facilities are fantastic , we booked the king bed suite apartment which was bigger than expected with a separate lounge kitchenette area, mini hall way , large ensuite and big bedroom. Impressed with the kitchen as it had lots utensils and dishwasher, oven etc. Bed was soo comfy. Onsite their is a gym and an area where you can purchase wine , basic foods if you need stuff on arrival. Around the corner from the building 3 mins walk is a one stop supermarket as well. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a help your self buffet in the open dining area downstairs , lovely croisants , cakes, a pancake machine , fresh fruit , english breakfast ( lots of choice) , and great coffee tea and juice. Their Car parking onsite is £10 per day and is secure. We will be back to stay , highly recommend this place as the hotel apartments are fantastic and hotel staff so helpful.

There was not a lot to dislike about this property. It was spotlessly clean, rooms were spacious and we had everything we needed. The air con worked really well, water pressure and temperature excellent. The staff were all fabulous, Joanne was really particularly helpful and really looked after us. On a Monday and Wednesday the hotel puts on a snacks and drinks social which was a fantastic surprise for us. The dining and leisure areas were great. Thanks to Staybridge for a great four night stay!

There were a few tables outside but they have no shelter from sun or rain. A decent outside area would add value to an otherwise excellent location.

Helen at the front desk was amazing, very helpful pleasant and informative. Helen was always available to answer questions. Joanna in the breakfast room deserves a big raise, she works constantly, is extremely pleasant and so willing to answer questions and help with recommendations

The rooms were nice and clean, the housekeepers were exceptional. The common area and breakfast room are dirty. All of the furniture has stains on it, in desperate need of cleaning. Joanna works hard to keep it clean and tidy. however the furniture is disgusting this needs cleaned or replaced

The location is super as it is halfway between the town centre and the bay. Brend new, very clean and comfy. Reasonable priced parking. And really dog friendly which for was important

When checking in we were not told that we can use the coffee machine and help ourselves with available drinks in the kitchen on the ground floor. This would explain why the room does not have nesspresso machine but just instant coffee and tea. The bedroom does not have windows which is a really stupid architectural solution as it has the outside wall. And as the bathroom is from the bedroom none of this spaces have any natural ventilation. The air com works well, but why producing carbon footprint when you can simply open the window.

Beautiful modern room with everything in it. The kitchen area was amazing even with a dishwasher. The bed was very comfortable and numerous pillows. It was very quiet and peaceful in the room. Downstairs the communal areas were unexpected but very nice spaces to meet other people, socialise and have breakfast. The staff were all very attentive and helpful.

It is a fair walk to the Centre and most things in the area seem to close at 21:30 so if you arrive late do not expect to find anything nearby to eat. I walked for over 90 minutes to eventually find a Dominos I could have ordered in anyway.

Good quiet location, ample car park

Flimsy toilet seat giving up on life and bending+almost slipping away from the toilets when one sat on it. Weighting a very average 75kg, I don't expect that to happen in a hotel wanting to be seen as fancy. Not much kitchen utensils and white goods. Simple kettle, no coffee machine, barely 2-3 courtesy instant coffee doses, yada yada. I could get pampered in a sweet Airbnb for the same price. Maybe mastodonts hotels should raise the bar a bit and make an attempt to be actually welcoming, past the forced smiles at the front desk...
