Craig and Nicola run an excellent pub and we were made very welcome. There's a wide range of breakfast options, very nicely cooked. They have an excellent dinner menu and the food was always superb, served by friendly and attentive staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. We chose the Bulls Head as a base for visiting Chichester and the South Coast and it was well situated for this. As a bonus the environs are very pretty. There are nice walks alongside the salt marshes of Chichester Harbour from the pub, and even a swan nesting close by.

Nothing really.

Rooms are part of (but in a separate building from) a lovely quaint pub. The pub doesn’t seem like it would be noisy but on a Friday night we didn’t hear any noise at all from the pub. Staff and regulars in the pub were really friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We had dinner (our choice - there was no pressure at all to eat there) which was lovely. Good traditional pub food and reasonably priced. Breakfast was delicious, really good choice, good quality food, perfectly cooked. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable, spacious, everything you could want.

A full length mirror would have been nice but there was a big portable mirror so we were able to improvise. This wasn’t even a niggle and absolutely no other criticism of this lovely pub.

The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal. The staff went 'above and beyond' to ensure that allergies were screened. The evening meal was 'spot on' and quite reasonably priced. it was nice to find a good selection of 'real ales' available at the bar.

The room was next to the carpark (not a lot the pub could do about that though). Not sure why there was a green LED permanently lit in the ceiling - It was quite bright at night!

Breakfast very well organised and good quality, plus excellent cereals and fruit (including blueberries and muesli) available, unlike recent places we’ve stayed. The family team running the place were very solicitous and helpful, eg re dietary needs. Very good evening meal also. Comfortable bed and good room facilities.

Only problem was Booking.com sending confusing automated messages!

Lovely period building and quiet location with free car parking yet only a couple of miles from the centre of Chichester. Superb breakfast with the best poached egg I have had for a long time. Plenty of choice with fresh fruit included. Very clean and comfortable beds and very friendly and helpful people. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

My only criticism is the coffee at breakfast in a flask keeping hot. Would have really appreciated some freshly made coffee, maybe in a cafetière.

The breakfast was excellent, and the food on offer at lunch and in the evening similarly good. The room is well appointed and providing bottles of water and biscuits was a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location gives easy access to Chichester.

The only downside for us was the poor quality of the duvet. A natural fabric duvet, rather than a synthetic one would lift the room to an ‘excellent’ level.

good cooked to order breakfast, and buffet selection. meals in evening delicious , staff very friendly and helpful. The Roman palace a short walk away. On bus route into Chichester, Rooms clean and tidy with toiletries.

Room in converted out building within courtyard for patrons to sit outside, so quite noisy in late evenings. But all in all not too rowdy.

Good selection for breakfast. Poached eggs were cooked and served well, just right. Rooms behind the pub were quiet and comfortable. Staff were very friendly, obliging and helpful.

The green light on the smoke detector was annoying during the night, especially as we are accustomed to total darkness.

Beautiful old traditional pub with accommodation away from the main building. The food was top notch. Breakfast and Evening meal. The staff really friendly and helpful. The owners really made you feel so welcome.

Room was a bit 'tired', but it was clean and comfy, so not a complaint, just an observation.

The staff were really friendly and although we were out at a wedding the pub looked really friendly. The chef was superb, did a really delicious breakfast for us and could not have been more helpful

A extra blanket or duvet in the wardrobe would have been good. I was asked if I needed anything extra and forgot to say so my bad!
