Excellent all round. Friendly, helpful staff: Thanks so much to Eddy, Riley, Melanie, and the team for making our stay so special. Fascinating ancient coaching Inn, seamlessly combining the charm of history with modern convenience. Beautiful room, very clean and with all the comforts. Lovely food, both for breakfast and from the restaurant: good choices, very fresh and top quality ingredients. Service impeccable. Cosy bar. Ample parking. Located very well for exploring nearby lengendary Cotswold villages and also larger towns, such as Cirencester and Cheltenham. Thank you!

Nothing to dislike!

Very friendly welcome and tour of the Inn. Room was very large and comfortable and had everything we needed. Dinner was very nice. The main meal I wanted was not available so I was given a recommendation, which was very nice. Breakfast - pancakes were not available, so had porridge which was nice. Breakfast is held in a nice light conservatory. I would stay again, we really enjoyed our stay.

Single pane window - meant the road noise could be heard in the room and felt like the window was open. Also the curtains were very light - so let the light in. Did manage to have a good nights sleep but it would help if the window was upgraded to be double glazed and blackout curtains or blinds are needed.

All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I stayed with my cocker spaniel who is super energetic and the staff was very welcoming and helpful when discussing walks I could take him on. I ate breakfast and dinner each day at the hotel and each meal was delicious. The breakfast staff also gave my dog a sausage each morning which he loved. Had a bit of an issue with the door lock on my room. However the maintenance guy was able to resolve it within 20 minutes which i was impressed with. Would definitely recommend staying here with a dog, also very close to the zoo where you can also take dogs.

Hotel is on a main road, so there isnt much of a walk you can take a dog on when it gets dark apart from round the car park and the little outside area. Although this isnt something the hotel can fix

Inn for All Seasons, Burford 2/1/24 to 3/1/24 I had arranged with The Inn for All Seasons that I could check in after midday, for a small additional fee, so I arrived at about 1pm, and checked in to a very pleasant room in The Coach House, I could get the car close to the door so that I could offload luggage. The room, not enormous, but well designed and with a very good radiator which helped on a cold day. Good wardrobe, desk etc, everything that is needed. A very good bathroom, with a properly working walk-in shower. I would have this room again. (Room 10?) I had booked dinner at night and did not stint myself. I was pleased, and a little surprised by the excellence of the service, the food and the presentation of the food. I had a very fine Game Terrine with a tasty fig and apple chutney, a superb pan-fried Duck breast with blackberry jus, dauphinoise potatoes and heritage carrots, and finally some Chocolate ice cream to finish off with. Wash these down with some Butty Bach and Butcombe Bitter, and closing with a fine old Armagnac, and one could hardly hope for a better evening. I was lucky enough to see the Chef, who I found out later is named Christophe Arcalis, and complimented him on the food, especially the quality of the ingredients, duck breast particularly, and the cooking and again, the presentation of the final meal. Expect to hear his name somewhere in the future. I happened to be at a function on January 22nd of Bocuse D'Or where the 8 UK chefs who have 3 Michelin stars prepared the meal, and I can tell you that Christophe Arcalis food, that January evening was as good, at least. I look forward to returning to The Inn for all seasons. I am salivating thinking of it.

Could do with better lighting for shaving in the bathroom, but this is a minor point. A very good bathroom.

The food was excellent it tasted fresh, and homemade rather than the usual processed food served in so many other places, had an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious. They were very dog friendly, although you cannot dine in the main restaurant in the evening there was plenty of space in the bar area with the same menu & service. All the staff was helpful and friendly and very accommodating with us bringing a pup along.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable it was a metal framed bed with a poor-quality mattress, every time one of us moved it disturbed the other so unfortunately no sleep was had because of this. The shower was only a handheld type of shower with very little water pressure so washing long hair was a mission with only a trickle of water coming out of it.

Lovely old inn. Restaurant really lovely food and staff amazing. Breakfast good. Location easy to get to where we wanted.

We were shown our room and it had flagstone floor even though booking said carpeted it also smelt of dog and mat was stained. We reported this to reception and they offered us a smaller room which was clean and fresh. I asked would we get a reduction but was told “ not at the price you paid”. Which I think was a bit unfair. Not our fault our own room wasn’t clean. Also reception said well we are dog friendly, but we didn’t have a dog so I didn’t expect to feel like we did have one in our room. I feel that we were offered a poor room as we hadn’t paid much. I would stay again as they did move us and the restaurant meal was great.

Lovely welcome and a spacious 4-poster bedroom (Room 8) with a nice big bathroom. The dining experience was fabulous .. the service was great and the food was sensational. Julia took great care of us at breakfast ... she's a real star .. a real asset to the business for sure.

Our bed was really squeaky .. conducive of the delightful old inn, but it did disturb our sleep every night. The mattress was extremely comfortable - it was actually the four poster that needed oiling!!

Loved the 4 poster bed. The room was very spacious. We stayed in room no.8. Loved that they had a dressing table, made it easier to get ready make-up wise. Loved that we were given keys to the main door when coming back into the hotel past lock up time. Loved the interior of the property. Delicious food. Lovely and friendly staff. Pet friendly bar and hotel. Would definitely stay again.

The toilet took so long to flush and after flushing took ages so you can hear the toilet flushing for ages. There was a lot of wasps in our room, maybe a wasp nest outside. The hotel does not have any air conditioning. Definitely bring your own fan if staying there in hotter months. The hotel is located on the A40, so quite noisy. We had to shut the windows at night to drown out the noise. A curtain/blind in the bathroom by the window would be good as the lights of vehicles really come into your eyes at night when using the bathroom. But no real bad words to say about the hotel itself. Loved every moment of it.

Our room was large, clean and comfortable with everything we needed, Excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself was busy and had a nice atmosphere. The decor was as you would expect for a historic coaching in but with new additional to the rear of the building. Parking was easy and there were sufficient spaces even though it was busy. A private party was in full swing when we arrived so parking spaces would otherwise have been plentiful. Our cooked breakfast was copious and tasty served in the rear conservatory with pleasant views.

Our evening meal was the one partial disappointment. We ordered the Plaice which was extremely bony so we had to make do with what we could extract, however the potatoes and asparagus were fine. The sweet course was very nice. Breakfast options seemed a little limited with no fruit or yogurt and a limited choice of cereal.

Excellent hotel, well maintained traditional decor especially the lounge bar and interesting with such a long history as a former coaching stop. Remarkable displays of paintings by a local artist of birds and animals in many of the rooms and corridors. Staff were very warm and welcoming and helpful and efficient. Considering the hotel was full, breakfast went very smoothly and the service was excellent. Good choice of food in the restaurant and at breakfast. Very pleasant large conservatory at the rear where breakfast was held. The room was clean and comfortable with all the usual facilities and en suite. Plenty of parking.and a garden to the side which would be pleasant to sit in given good weather.

The only small problem was it's proximity to the A40 and there was a bit of traffic noise as you would expect. We were in Room 3 on the first floor on the side of the building and this was actually the only place that I noticed the traffic during the night although not enough to affect my sleeping. The room would certainly benefit from secondary glazing or a completely new double glazed window. It would be worth relaying this to the hotel for them to consider as the rest of the hotel is so good.
