The Maple Manor Hotel and guest holiday parking

We stayed in rooms 5 & 6 … the annexes. Rooms very warm, comfortable and well equipped. Location is just to the south of Gatwick so only 10 minutes in a taxi and having secure parking included in the price is wonderful. Only £15 taxi ride to the north terminal (which includes a £5 airport drop off fee imposed by the airport)

Only gripe was there were literally no staff. Only person we saw was the night security guard. Everything was self check-in and no breakfast available as no staff to serve! Having said that security guard was very pleasant & helpful and breakfast we just made do with some shop bought croissants and coffee.

Very spacious and comfortable room and bathroom, and the included breakfast was very acceptable with fruit, cereal, cheese, ham, toast and preserves. Free bottles of water in the room. helpful staff. Parking is good value, we walked to the airport but then found that a certain airport parking bus ran from a location about 300m up the road to the left which was very useful for our return trip.

Nothing -of course the hotel is noisy with air traffic, but that is why you stay there to be near the airport!

We arrived at the hotel very late (10pm) and were let in quickly and quietly. Our room was unexpectedly spacious and there were two extra beds made up for us. We all slept like rocks. The continental breakfast was lovely and we had the breakfast room to ourselves. It was a nice way to wake up and start our very long journey home.

Communcation could be better. On Booking.com it says that check in is from 3 pm until 10 pm. Because it's a boutique hotel, I thought we might not be able to check in, as we hit traffic on our route and our ETA was a little after 10, which caused undue stress. I called and unfortunately no one answered. I also sent the hotel a message, online, but no one responded. I googled the hotel and saw the check in window was from 3 pm until 4 am, which provided some relief, but was still unsure.

Super friendly and helpful staff. In particular, Karolina, went out of her way to help me, e.g., to figure various things out like where to buy what or how to efficiently get around, or even let me use the microwave.

The main drawback is not something that the hotel could cheaply or easily address. The hotel is far from the nearest bus stop, and the road to get there is extremely narrow. Way too dangerous to walk by (no sidewalk/pavement) with luggage. Thus a taxi is mandatory, and they overcharge as soon as you have luggage and/or go to/from the airport. From the hotel perspective, their only course of action in my opinion would be to offer a shuttle service. But then again, that wouldn't come as cheap.

The hotel offered us all that we wanted for our overnight stay before the early morning flight the next day. on arrival the receptionist was most helpful & showed us to our room. As we were leaving the car at the hotel for the duration of our holiday & she gave clear instruction where to park it. With regards to the room , it was recently refurbished & was spotlessly clean . The room size was more that adequate & had a super comfortable bed. The bathroom was exceptional with it being a walk in wet room with all the toiletries supplied, lovely soft towels. Also they organised the taxi transfer to the airport for us.

The only comment that we have is that there was no restraunts within walking distance,however we were told well in advance that the restaurant was closed at the hotel. Our opinion is that it would be beneficial if they could re-open the restaurant as guest would prefer to eat at the hotel than drive into Crawley

The rooms are really nicely done out and comfortable, plenty of room. The toiletries in the bathroom are of a high standard, there’s a really good range of tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as Borders biscuits and a few bottles of complimentary water. The breakfast has a decent choice and is always fresh.

The wifi is a bit patchy and the TV is just a streaming service so I miss having access to mainstream channels. The airplane noise is not great but you do tend to zone it out and anyway I forgive it given the quality of the hotel itself. Mugs instead of small cups would be great!

Nice hotel, in a great location for Gatwick airport. Staff were really helpful (providing taxi numbers etc). The room was spacious and modern. Very clean. We were also able to leave our car while we went on holiday at a very reasonable rate which was a bonus. Breakfast was continental and it was a lovely spread, with lots of choice.

We had room 1 which was right next to the reception and could hear the staff talking (quite loudly) until around 10:30pm which wasn't ideal as we had an early flight to catch.

Hotel was easy to find and had ample parking which was free for the night we stayed there and £5 per day for the duration of our holiday. We had a friendly welcome and the room was ready earlier than expected. The receptionist booked us a taxi to the airport ready for the next day. Room was clean, comfy and all we needed for an overnight stay including a mini fridge and bottled water. The hotel is directly opposite the take off Gatwick runway so as we expected there is constant noise form planes. It seems to cease late at night and resumed about 6am so not an issue. We had heard the free WiFi was bad but had no issues with the at all. They provide a complimentary continental breakfast from 7am which was all we needed to set us up for the day. Had heard poor reviews if the breakfast but a choice of cereals, juice pastries,toast, preserves, hot drinks including the nice touch of preparing your own little cafetiere..we were more than satisfied with our complimentary breakfast.. On our return from the holiday the car was exactly as we had left it and staff allowed us to use the lobby toilet before embarking on our 4 hour drive home.

Nothing negative to say of the hotel it was spot on. Something to consider is that the hotel is a stones throw for the airport but is about a 7 min drive by taxi. Unfortunately because of fuel prices and the Gatwick drop off fee its £17 each way by taxi which seems a lot for such a short journey.

The rooms were very comfortable, the rooms outside of the main building are a little bit more snug but still very warm and really comfy beds and beautiful toiletries. The room we saw inside the main building was extremely spacious

We are vegan and there was very little options for breakfast, I had checked out the website before which unfortunately had not been updated so it showed as lots of options but there was not, we mentioned this to the person in charge who was very apologetic and said they would be making a note of this

Very comfy bed, white and crispy bed linen, white and soft towels, overall good quality of the room. Friendly stuff. Also it wasn't a problem we checked out about 20 min later than official check-out time - 11 A.M.

The only way to get in and out is a taxi, at night it was not only overrated, but also hard to find the driver who takes such a short trip - even for 30 eur. The nearest bus 20 min away and the road to it is not suitable for pedestrians. Also it's not for those who need absolutely quiet place to sleep - it's on the other side of the street from the planes' take-of runway, but for us that wasn't a problem or unknown circumstance.
