The location - the bus stop for Gatwick airport was 100 yards away from the property on the same side of the road. Buses - No’s 20 or 100 from memory - only take about five or ten minutes to get to Gatwick and stops at both terminals.

Maybe it’s a little jaded but good value

Ideally located just a short walk away from the railway station for an early morning train to nearby Gatwick Airport. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Nice room recently renovated

The hotel was easy to find at night, after walking from Horley station. The after-hours entry instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The room and bathroom were clean. The beds were comfortable (with extra pillows!) The water pressure in the shower was good. The electric tea kettle worked fine.

Two of the power outlets didn’t seem to work properly. They were both by the bed and were working only intermittently. The hotel probably needs an electrician to test the outlets. About the tea/coffee tray by the tea kettle: there should also be non-caffeinated/herbal tea, for those who are sensitive to caffeine.

The room exceeded our expectations. We had stayed here years ago and our room this time far exceeded what we expected from our previous stay. The staff was super helpful with one of the female staff letting us use her own umbrella so as we could go out for supper. We were very pleasantly surprised.

The only thing that we really missed this time was the ability of having a hotel based pick up and drop off at the airport. However they did help us book our return to airport with the taxi company as our phone did not work in the UK.

It was fine as a one night stopover close to Gatwick airport. Cheaper and more to my liking than the hotels actually on the airport site. We arrived about 6pm and left around 6am the following morning, so all that mattered was a bed to sleep in which was comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel as we had breakfast at the airport.

The car parking arrangement was a bit strange. They moved a car out of the way and told me to park blocking another car in. It was just a rough area of ground not a tarmac car park with marked spaces. Not really what I expected for £10 to park overnight. Some of their instructions seemed a bit curt but that. Is just my interpretation.

Better than expected, as my expectations were low for a budget hotel this close to Gatwick Airport in this price range. The place was clean and looked to be a well-run family business. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The town of Horley is a 5-minute walk down the road from the hotel and has everything you could need including several supermarkets and pubs, and a cell phone shop if you should need to buy a European SIM card. While we were waiting to check in, we went into town and had an excellent all-day breakfast at Cafe Le Manger. Really nice little restaurant.

Nothing comes to mind. But note the hotel is not air-conditioned. It was fine when we were there with a daytime high in the low twenties Celsius, but I would not want to stay there in a heat wave.

For the price this place is great. The guy at reception was really friendly and helpful, letting us know where to find the pubs and restaurants before we had to ask. Let's face it most people are only staying here so they can get to the airport for the early flights in the morning. It's no frills but everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. We could also leave our car there for 4 nights for a very reasonable charge. Will definitely stay again if flying from Gatwick.

As we stayed here for two weeks, I could definitely tell you that this hotel is amazing. It has a wonderful location, so you could easily get where you need, the bus station is on the opposite street (1m walk), all the restaurants and shops/supermarkets are 5 to 10min walk. The room was always cleaned, on the ground floor you have all the facilities (fridge/coffee machine etc), the stuff was always smiling and helping, cleaned the room every day, so we felt very comfortable. I recommend this hotel, as I'm completely satisfied.

It was such a good stay. We found the guest house easily and the road was quieter than we expected, being so close to the airport. A comfortable and really clean room with new carpet and recently re=decorated. Lots of tea and coffee sachets and milk pods. I found the staff and management extremely helpful when I discovered I needed a needle and thread for a repair! Nothing was too much trouble and they found one for me even though it was not the usual request. Thank you so much.
