Lovely room .Old and quaint but that's what we like . The room was very hot with the heating and we struggled to sleep but the bed was super comfy and it had a bath which was great . Lots of space. TV wasn't in the right angle to the bed and we couldn't move it to watch telly in bed comfortably Apart from the Hot room it was lovely. And thankfully we had a fan. Amazing staff polite and we were able to check in easily too .

Room too hot ..

We were first greeted by Carlos, warm, friendly and helpful, as we locked ourselves out of our room. Breakfast was great, ongoing coffee, tea, toast, everything very well presented and tasty. John was our server and was great company and so thorough in everything he did. Our room was spotless and comfortable, our ensuite toilet had a bit of a wobble though and made a funny bumping sound whenever you sat down and got up!! But not good for a night time visit!! LOL. Furniture and room was a little dated but we expected that, so no surprises there, bed was very comfortable and our room looked out onto a beautiful garden. We visited the garden but had no where to sit and enjoy it, so we borrowed 2 chairs from the adjacent dining room. The dining room and garden area were very nice. We also enjoyed a nice walk into the town for an evening meal which took about 15 mins. Overall we would visit again without hesitation.

Three things that would be an improvement would be the kirb appeal, there are narrow troughs set into the front wall adjacent to the public path, so colourful flowers would look great, and add an appealing look to the entrance. Some accessible garden furniture out the back would have been lovely. But the thing I didn't expect in a group were 3 women sitting on the entrance steps, smoking, chatting and looking at their 'phones, (maybe the cleaning team), if I had been a guest arriving at that time I would have been astonished to see that. It didn't help that there was a huge pot for smokers to put out their cigarettes into at the entrance too. Surely a designated area for those who like to smoke away from the entrance would be much better.

This is a traditional small hotel set in a Victorian house on a suburban road in Horsham. Having read other reviews we were pleasantly surprised by our room which was light and airy and overlooked the lawned garden. Comfortable bed, good wardrobe space with plenty of hangers and a small ensuite shower room. The extractor fan worked well, good quality toiletries provided free of charge and the shower was powerful and efficient. Breakfast was served by a kind gentleman who did all he could to accommodate us, we ate delicious omelette cooked to order. If you are looking for an economical small hotel in a period property with ample parking and a short walk into Horsham Town centre the Wimblehurst is for you!

The rooms could maybe do with a lick of paint and an upgrade but this would increase costs and the traditional feel would be lost. We've stayed in more luxurious hotels and had worse sleeps in airless noisy rooms. More staff would also have helped as the staff were juggling reception and other duties and working very hard.

The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. Hot and fresh and plentiful.

Room could do with a spruce up and major clean. Not filthy but just needs some attention.

So much like a home and not like a B and B .we stay one night every so often breakfast lovely staff lovely and friendly rooms comfortable and clean . Good value for money .. feels like home perfect for what we wanted.

Nothing liked it all .

The whole experience from arrival to departure was very good. Food was great, facilities good. Enjoyed my time there immensely.

Very friendly staff and an excellent full English breakfast. We stayed one night and although the room was tired looking the bed was clean and comfortable and we had use of Wifi and a TV if we wanted to. The room had ensuite shower and toilet which suited our needs. I would definitely return to use this Hotel again.

Mosquitoes in the room were the only thing I didn't like which likely got in when the windows were open to air the room.

The breakfast choice was limited, I had requested a gluten free diet and only got offered gluten free toast, they didn't understand that sausages need to be gluten free as well and put an ordinary sausage on my plate. There was no cereal or other options available as far as we could see, we were just asked do you want the cooked breakfast. Having said that the food was nice.

Just the fact that as an establishment serving food in this day and age they should understand about diets.

All staff very friendly and helpful. Particularly good breakfast with fresh fruit and hot food cooked to order. Quiet location, particularly at garden side. Easy walk from station. Clean and comfortable rooms.

South African (I think) gentleman, really friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Helped me with the parking of my vehicle within the grounds as it was a bit tight for a van. He moved his car so I could get in and out easily. Lovely garden to look out over at breakfast Great room, simple and comfortable with a desk so could work.
