Hartsfield Manor

Beautiful place. Manor house and gardens are grand. Quiet location. Generous sized room. Great bathroom with bath and shower. Decent heated towel rail and extract fan. Complimentary water in the room

I didn't stay in the main house. The outbuildings are less grand but still lovely, and just a short walk away. Nice room, but the dreaded 2 twin beds made up as one, so you fell the ridge in the middle. WiFi was weak, so any TV channels other than BBC 1 or 2 were unwatchable because it was buffering. Food. Starter was grilled squid with mango dressing. The squid was warm, and the dressing was cold, so it felt strange. The dressing was chunks of mango with chillies in a delicious sauce (more than a dressing?) My medium rare steak was slightly tough, not as tender as I would have liked, and because it was fatter in the middle, it was only just cooked rare. Luckily, I don't mind it rare. Lots of gristle left at the end.

The first night of our two night stay (which had been extended last minute), we were in a small room, but we could see why, as the venue was packed due to a wedding. The second night, we moved to the lodge, which was fabulous, and we would definitely stay there again. Everything about the venue was great, but the very best aspect was the staff. They were so friendly and engaging and remembered us, asking relevant questions, which made us feel very valued. The hotel is wise to put such a big emphasis on customer relations, as it makes a real difference.

Reception staff were very friendly, we had the worse pint of corona poured the head was half the size of the glass and they kept pouring with it flowing over the glass for over 5 minutes would have been much better to have started again or offer us a bottle as suggested. My colleague had a dead wasp on the window sill with closed windows and the windows in my bathroom were covered in cobs webs just a small detail to check. Dinning room seem to struggle at breakfast lots of tables that hadn't been cleared so we had to take a table that seated 6 people, we weren't told or directed to the continental breakfast, however when the cooked breakfast arrived this was yummy. Location was perfect for the work we came to do. The grounds were beautiful.

A bit more information on where things were, we had to ask about breakfast, ask how to get outside, where the bar was.

Wonderful location , relaxed environment, comfortable bar. Quiet bedrooms. Close to some lovely towns and in the middle of some beautiful countryside.

Generally very happy with the property. Could do with a swimming pool and additional spa facilities etc. I don’t think the potential is being maximised but very good all the same and I enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was not very cheap and a little limited.

The hotel is a wonderful intimate place and hosted the perfect wedding for my cousin. The location is just fabulous with amazing views. The staff were all incredibly polite, helpful and friendly, thank you. The room (room 40) was an excellent size with a very comfortable bed and a perfectly functional bathroom with PLENTY of hot water. And those HUGE bath towels! Wow! My only dissatisfaction was that the room was quite dusty…. Like it had been cleaned a few days before I arrived and then left to gather dust. But I’ll still give it 10/10 because overall it was just lovely. Thank you.

I thought the buffet breakfast was a little underwhelming. The food was barely hot at best and not a huge choice of variety. The sausages were nice though and the service was excellent.

We stayed for one night at Hartsfield Manor on the occasion of a family wedding held there, and we loved everything about it. Our room was located in the Annex to the side of the main building, and it included a little porch with chairs and table leading out to a beautiful open green area. The room was clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom, toiletries, and tea/coffee-making facilities. The staff were efficient and friendly all throughout, and we had an amazing time at the wedding. The setting couldn’t be any more magical. The buffet breakfast the next morning was delicious. It was not included in the room, but was still reasonably priced and there was a choice of full English or continental. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

We felt the breakfast really let the place down. When we entered the dining room as a couple they said no tables, i asked about one that was empty for 2 and they said it wasnt ready so sat us on a table for 12, not 2 mins later a couple entered and were sat at the table i had asked about which still wasnt ready, they then sat another group of 4 on our table. No disrespect but we dont wish to share our breakfast table with strangers. I also felt they should at least have some pastries for people like myself that dont eat full english breakfast, so for the extra money i paid for a breakfast i had scrambled eggs and mushrooms and 1 yogurt :( also the staff serving breakfast should try putting a smile on their faces.. check in/out staff brilliant

Lack of information in the room regarding, how things work, hotel facilities, details of access to grounds such as available walking. Tiny wardrobe, total lack of drawer space for such a lovely room - Don't take a lot of clothes!!

Lovely clean and comfortable room with superior toiletries and coffee/tea included. Very helpful staff.

Only one thing and it was more an annoyance than a dislike. I arrived just before midnight and collected my key from reception, I was staying in a separate building and when I got there the key didn't work and I had to walk back to the reception to get it fixed. On the plus side the receptionist accompanied me back to make sure I could get in the room.

We travelled to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary & my wife 60th Birthday. The hotel is in a beautiful setting with wonderful countryside outlook. Room, food excellent but on top of high standards of the hotel the staff 11/10 friendly, helpful - we felt very special with care given to use throughout our stay. The Management had a wedding going on which was an ideal setting for anyone wanting to get married but we were made to feel for the stay special & will certain come back again. Mr & Mrs Fields
