For a 2 star hotel I was very happy with the pet friendly accommodation. I took 2 dogs and the position of the hotel could not have been better. Outside the room door (ground floor ) was a wide expanse of grass. In front of the hotel was more grass. All away from main road traffic. At the entrance to the car park was a cycle track with more grass a good 20 to 30mins walk or more. It was perfect for me and the dogs. Will be going regularly now I have found it. Down side there is no fridge. I took electric plug in cool boxes for dogs food. The upside it was peaceful and quiet. The food was 5 star and cooked on order. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Price wine perfect.

Mattress was a sprung mattress. After first night I slept very well having got used to it

As long as you go without unrealistic expectations this hotel is perfectly fine. Yes, it’s a bit dated and the rooms are small. However, the bathroom was meticulously clean, the beds were comfy (clean bedding and nice pillows)there was free Wi-Fi, TV, and a kettle with tea and coffee. We had a ground floor room at the rear (not overlooking the car park) It was peaceful, with no traffic noise, and the view from the window was just grass and trees. The curtains were thick so we didn’t get woken up early from the sun. There were 2 chairs in the room, and as the weather was nice we took them outside to sit in the sun. Very close to The Dome if you’re visiting for a show/function. We didn’t use the bar/restaurant but it looked nice enough. Overall, good value for money and a very convenient location.

Although the view at the back of the hotel is pleasant (just grass and trees) it’s quite overgrown. If the grass was cut and maybe put a couple of picnic benches out there it would be a very nice place to sit. Management- please put a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels 👍

Location is great, check in was simple and easy. Room was absolutely fine, what I had previously experienced, however it was nice to see the hotel has had a much needed lick of paint and the door locks have been upgraded! Looking a lot more fresh and modern on the outside! I hope the rooms will be next, they are okay for what you pay, they are dated, but on the plus side the bed is perfectly comfortable! Looking forward to seeing what happens in the future! Will be coming back soon!

My only issue was the shower. The shower head in room 5 is definitely in need of replacing, it appears somebody has been a tad rough with it and it's falling apart. Easily fixed I'm sure!

Stayed for 3 nights with my 15 year old son. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is great, being close to the town, restaurants, and leisure activities.

One night, a group of people, who had the room next door, were talking loudly inside their room with their door open and also standing outside our room, using foul language and smoking weed, which kept my son awake. I must add that this was a one-off incident, and the rest of the time, it was very quiet.

The Hotel was convenient for the Buses into Town, the Football Club, the fabulous South Yorkshire RAF Museum and some eateries within a short walk. The staff were friendly and sorted my room being not ready quickly. Breakfast was plentiful and value for money, the in-house Bar expensive so go to Town instead, it's a short Bus ride away. Clean but dated, ideal for a short stay.

Bar prices a bit steep otherwise all was good, thank you. Kitchen was closed for an evening meal as (I think) the Chef had a night off. My first room given was not ready, I was however quickly transferred to another.

The staff were really lovely and friendly. We had two rooms which were next to each other which was great. The rooms were spacious and clean with all amenities provided. Reception/bar area was very pleasant and clean. Overall a lovely place to stay and value for money.

Unfortunately, there were some guests that kept us awake the entire night but the manageress dealt with the situation as best she could under the circumstances. Had these guests not been staying, I would say the place is faultless.

Room basic but clean. Friendly staff. Room did not have a mirror near hairdryer but member of staff sorted problem cheerfully.

I was surprised that on arrival I was asked for a £10 deposit in case I trashed the room. Trusting money will be refunded pronto.

Location was absolutely perfect as we went to a gig at the dome, 5 min walk at the most. Room was on the ground floor, very quiet area. Had plenty of tea and coffee, excellent black out curtain, shower was powerful enough and even enough hot water for a bath. Plenty of parking spaces.

Could maybe have done with a couple more pillows, only 1 spare in the wardrobe, and a hand towel. Would have preferred proper mug instead of recyclable cup but that's just personal preference.

The room was as expected as I know the hotel, good points are quiet, great location, lovely big bed, and nice cotton bedding, great shower. The staff were great and helpful. overall great stay! and will stay again as great price. Pets welcome which is fab

The rooms are very tired, need new carpets or at least cleaned, the whole place needs decorating inside and outside. general maintenance could be better, bathroom heater not working as a couple of lights not either Pillows were like wafers, had to ask for extra, very thin quilt glad it was warm plus not enough plug sockets for todays equipment.
