Mercure Doncaster Centre Danum Hotel

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms a very good size, the bathrooms beautiful and lovely complimentary products. The breakfast, was lovely and cooked to order. Piping hot and a good selection of cold items/juices. The staff were very welcoming and chatty. And helped me with travel plans to places I wanted to visit

The location is great and just a short walk from the train and bus station. However it is also on a busy bustling street filled with night life. They have taken every precaution to try and cancel out the noise but with my stay over a Fri and sat, it was fairly noisy into the small hrs. The location of my room was to the left hand side of the building towards the rear where there are bars and pubs along it. A room towards the front of the hotel may prove a little quieter

Location is great right in the centre. No onsite parking, but parking at frenchgate is a short walk away and at a discounted price of £5 per 24hrs provided you collect a code from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and approachable. Hotel was clean and tidy. Rooms was large and beds was super comfy, our only issue with the room was it was so hot!! We couldn't sleep, (it was the hottest day of the year mind) in the morning we was supplied with a fan from the reception. Breakfast was OK

Rooms 104/105 very hot couldn't sleep. Was offered a fan but not till the following morning Breakfast service slow.

The breakfast selection was really good. Central location was a double edged sword because of the noise outside but wouldn’t put us off staying again. Part of the hotel was closed for refurbishment so was quite quiet. Lovely bathroom.

Parking not available so we were told to use Frenchgate and would get a code to reduce the price. When we went to pay the car park attendant said there was no such arrangement with the hotel. We did tell staff who were very apologetic and as they were newly reopened, would look into it.

The staff make this property. We travelled here to take my son to see the university in York and we stayed for the weekend. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is also fabulous and well worth the money. One of the nicest cooked breakfasts I’ve had anywhere.

Clean, efficient room. The longest bath I've ever encountered, (I mean length, not the time I spent!). Location perfect for time in Donny. Station 5-10 Mins walk away.

My room, 201, looked out onto a frankly horrible mismatch of collapsed roofing and a well established pidgeon colony which I think the owners ought to address with a degree of urgency.

Pleasant stay generally. Staying on a Wednesday in November so streets outside were quiet but I'm guessing would be pretty noisy at the weekend. Only to be expected for a city centre hotel. Good location for theatre i was going to.

Dirty carpet ...crumbs, glitter, bits of tissue. Lights not working properly. Either all on or all off.

Clean throughout, very comfortable beds, updated decor, great location for pubs & clubs. Staff helpful and polite. Overall great value for money

Due to the hotels location they was a lot of noise from people outside leaving pubs and clubs. Probably wouldn't be as bad if you had a room with a window not facing the main street

Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location in the centre of Doncaster and the room was small but quiet.

The shower never seemed to heat up. There was a message in the room indicating that due to the old plumbing it took a long time for hot water to come through but even when it did it was like warm at best.

The room was compact but cosy, with a nice bathroom. The room was facing away from the main road which was nice since I didn't hear any noise from the street.

I had some issues with the key card but that was quickly resolved. The hallways and elevator was a little too narrow/small.

Excellent location for a night out!! Pubs & bars almost opposite (Flares - amazing!) and takeaways down the side. Room was small but bed very comfortable. Ideal for what we wanted, place to crash for night out! Staff were great, very accomodating. Definitely will be back :)
