We where attending my brothers funeral so booked the hotel to save travelling home after and from arriving early we had excellent service from the lovely receptionist who understood we had to drop our case off before the funeral so arranged for it to be put in our room ready for us when it was ready so we didn't have to worry what time we got there. The same receptionist greeted us in the morning into breakfast and asked how it had all gone. I would like to thank her for making a difficult easier. Would highly recommend.

We liked the excellent service, we loved the room. We loved the location.

The location was excellent. The cleaners were not only excellent but also incredibly helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our food in the pub. Once again the staff were welcoming, warm and professional. The stay was excellent value for money. We needed a stopover on our trip to my daughters wedding in Northumberland. We liked the fact the kings chambers is located a short distance from the motorway and that there are plenty of amenities around the hotel. Well done, this will now be our stop over hotel on our trips up North.

My only complaint is the soap dispenser! They were difficult to operate, especially for my 80 year old mother who didn't have the strength in her hands to squeeze it.

Well situated for train station and is based on a site with plenty of food and shopping outlets, plenty of parking is available if needed. Have stayed here before whilst visiting family and is ideal. Highly recommend.

Had an issue with our heating (which was a blow heating system),not working but staff quickly resolved it by providing a fan heater which worked well. Only disapointment is no heated towel rail in the bathroom, which would warm up the bathroom as well as the towels. as found the bathroom quiet cold,

Location was great for Thorne itself. Some rooms bathrooms have aided facilities Breakfast and dinner are available if needed.

The aided bathroom facilities seized up so could not use on first night The bed mattresses are ‘flipped’ my stay was not as comfortable as my last stay, I would expect the same mattress to be on each side. The room attendant advised me that because chemicals are used to free the seized facilities, it can take up to 2 days to clear, in that case why are they not cleaned every day. The shower head was disgusting. Again these could be replaced every week with a clean one if they have duplicates. My need for facilities is minor in consideration to fully disabled.

Breakfast was excellent you could have fully cooked or just continental, room was very clean and cleaned both days good size as well, tv and free wifi provided, bath or shower plus good sized bath towels provided and hand towels with shower wash and hand wash.

Everthing you could ask for with a small break away with aldi and B&M on the doorstep, KFC and Macdonalds plus good pub food carvary or order what you please, food was excellent and well presented

Exceptionally clean and decor in good condition throughout. All the staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. The restaurant facility was also good quality.

As I was in a double room, when I booked for breakfast I was charged for two. I noticed this in the morning and brought it to the receptionists attention and received a refund straight away, so it wasn't an issue. Maybe just check with guests how many are in their party. The beer was also quite pricey!

We have stayed at this property on numerous occasions over the past 2 weeks, as we are conducting regular meetings and appointments in this area. It is very well located with good links for main routes and traveling into Doncaster. The room is always well serviced, and the housekeeping staff are very helpful, pleasant and accommodating. Cleaning and service at Reception are always of a high standard. It is located near various food outlets, and supermarkets, which adds convenience to the stay. Car parking is good, and we like that the property has in-house/on-site security throughout the night. The Air-con works brilliantly and has been a God send in this recent hot period.

There is only one chair provided in the room, and the one provided was not very comfortable.

Nice clean accommodation. Polite service. A good general set up, a decent quality 'hostel' and modern pub on an edge of town shopping estate. Different meal options and good overnight accommodation for the business traveller on a budget. There were a number of contractors staying on work jobs etc and I'm sure this was more than acceptable - likewise it's a perfect option for families staying a night or two visiting relatives.

Nothing at all - I only wish I could have stayed a few days longer to work my way through the lovely breakfast choices...maybe finishing with a McMuffin at the nearby McDonalds!

This is a new hotel so it is at it's best right now, nice room size, good parking, close to main road but couldn't hear it or the nearby fast food outlets. Some good soundproofing here. Great breakfast that is an extra cost but is well worth it.

I guess it's boring, it's functional. If you want somewhere to just stop off nice & easy, or just to sleep or your working near by this is perfect but a place to relax for a few days it is not. Some poor signage made finding our room an adventure.

Great base for trip. Rooms and food at bar / restaurant were great value, good wee quiz night on Thursday which happened to be Steak Meal night…. under £52 for 5 x Steak dinners with a drink included (15% hotel guest discount), amazing value and very tasty.

Room was a bit cold first night but warmer 2nd night. I booked a Twin bed disabled access room, we got a large double bed instead, not ideal but let it go.
