Regent Hotel Doncaster

Excellent location for both centre of town and event attending - walking distance to both. Although near the road the hotel itself is very quiet. Interesting route to room as hotel consists of several previously separate houses linked together. Room large, bed very comfortable. Free hotel parking very useful, accessed from side of hotel. Free wifi very reliable. Breakfast tasty and prepared to order - good variety of cooked options, cereals, juices, fruit and toast. Staff outstanding - nothing too much trouble, friendly and approachable. Will return on next trip to the area. Thanks to all.

Some areas perhaps showing signs of age - but its an old building and for some, part of its attraction!

Room was amazing ,bath was huge. Staff went above & beyond helping us find everything we needed. all food was fantastic. we invited 10 guests for Sunday lunch and we were treated like royalty. a special call out for their attention to special dietary needs, double & triple checking and recalling dishes if they had any doubt. They have their own car park as well as on street parking.

Too hot, we had to turn off the radiators. Car park is hard to find but does exist. We didn't understand we had to ask for the room to be serviced, our failure but it could have been clearer.

Our family stayed here for 1 night so that we could hop on the train to London in the morning. The rooms were clean, functional, and the beds were perfect for sleeping on. The rest of the hotel looked gorgeous and stately! The hotel is also located next to a bunch of "McMansions", in a nice neighborhood that is perfect for a stroll as the rest of the family is checking in.

The only downside is a couple of blocks away towards the train station. Although I did not personally observe any real downside, I got vibes from a business or two along our walking route between the hotel and train station. Some folks would consider these vibes "good" while others could see them as "shady" and maybe not a safe area at night. However, our family was on the hunt for all things haunted during our trip, so maybe the vibes was fears getting the upper-hand.

On arrival the receptionist saw my wife was using a walker and promptly changed our upstairs room to the ground floor without being asked. the over the course of our stay every member of staff assisted in helping my wife up stairs to the restaurant. on the first morning the night porter delivered breakfast to our room for my wife even though his shift had finished. Staff get a big 110% thumbs up from us.

It's a beautiful hotel in the centre of Doncaster, friendly owner and very helpful staff. We only stayed for one night but we felt very welcome. The room was excellent, a very comfortable bed and lots of facilities like a microwave and fridge

The parking was a challenge, there is parking at the rear of the hotel but accessing is difficult. At the front, there is very limited on-street parking. We unloaded the cases there, but we were a little paranoid about getting a ticket.

Staff were very willing to accommodate with anything we needed and everyone from reception desk staff to restaurant staff modelled high standards of customer care. I loved the restaurant, beautiful decor here and a lovely relaxed feel. The food was great and some lovely speciality dishes. The meal and breakfast was exceptional and I would return to this hotel. The owner is conscious of making sure everything is to hand and that customers enjoy their stay. I would recommend this place for location and value for money, but most importantly for somewhere that prides itself on offering high standards, so you won't be disappointed.

I booked the basic room so the bathroom could have been better but it was expected as I only paid for the economy room.

Location was excellent near enough to Keepmoat stadium for the concert we where there for. Plenty of lively bars close by. Room was excellent big size with a super king size bed & a single very comfortable made for a good sleep. Was booked for room only so can't comment on food.

There was no lift & a lot of stairs which was like a maze so got lost & had to head back to reception for more directions. Which was not great for my partner as she struggles with her breathing. So I think the least they could do is show you to your room.

Everything about the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, we also had lunch which was equally as nice The location of the hotel was great - within walking distance for the racecourse and plenty of bars and restaurants in the near vicinity too Colin and his staff are so welcoming and helpful, would certainly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back

Bedroom being a Superior Double Room could have had some glass tumblers - and some toiletries in the en-suite bathroom would have been welcome

Pet friendly, very close to the centre of Doncaster but also very quiet area. Staff are very helpful and pleasant .

Bathroom layout a bit weird, heated towel rail right next to one side of toilet so one leg touches it, toilet roll dispenser on wall in recess behind toilet. You need to take it out of the dispenser or be a contortionist to get to it.. There are no cups for water when cleaning teeth

Location was great for what we wanted.

Very small car park for the size of the hotel. There was no need to reserve prior to arriving. We managed to get in but if someone with mobility issues definitely needed to park close to the hotel it had very limited space. Our shower had a variable flow rate, to at one point temporarily stopping completely (presume it must have been affected by usage elsewhere in the hotel).
